Well explained and detailled troubleshooting process, you should use digital microscope for close view on the video

Great German engineering, water, and electronics, what could possibly go wrong?

Well heat and electronics is worse so it needs to be cooled plus it’s a car rain gets all over the engines

@@rowanballinger3690 Humid heat at that. Conformal coating only protects to a limited degree.

Hi, first let me thank you for the very precise explanation of the problem
please can you tell me what type of triode or what replacement it has because I can't find it with this number (VB H)

We do sell a replacement kit for 10 USD (or provide it as a gift on specific orders from repairers!)

You said resistor can fail. How does a resistor fail? To much current passing in it so it heats up and fails?

Also triodes and diodes right next to them in the circuit will fail first. In general the starting point is the high temperatures, including these due to external factors (the positioning of the alternator makes it prone to overheating). Then one component failing will lead to others breaking as well, till it gets to the IGBTs. By that moment alternator stops working as one phase is entirely off.

how many kW is that motor continues (as motor) ...not peak?

The AI Generated subtitles are trash. Every important technical word is misinterpreted which is misleading and it is not even possible to switch off. Face -> Phase Gateway-> gate driver proco -> Broke triode-> díode 60 -> 600 trial-> triode?

Yeah, but it helps a lot with adjusting the timing as manually it takes far longer...
We must have missed some typos when reviewing that. Sorry!

    where is the water?

Water cooling system is in the actual alternator, here we are showing the control module which is attached to it.

    German cars are absolute trash!
They are the Apple counterpart in the automotive world- engineered to fail after the warranty period and also intentionally very difficult and expensive to service.
Engineering like this is very deliberate and it's not to make a superior product.

In automotive industry branding does a lot to boost up the sales!
However as an Italian I can't comment much as our own cars have some strange stuff going on as well... :)

What's crazy is a 458 and many other Italian cars will last longer on a race track than they will on the road as a daily driver.
Good video btw, I love seeing parts like this.
