a little electrician tip, usually the spool spins the same direction as the plastic unravels, so if you pull towards your self and the plastic is unraveling from the top then the wire will feed towards you, if it unravels from the bottom then spin the spool around because pulling wire over the top of the spool is easier than underneath.

If the rattling of your roller mod is annoying, take it apart, wrap the rod with electrical tape or insulation wrap. The roller doesn't need to spin, so put as much on as you like. Really like the despooler.
You could easily move the reel holder closer to the center point and mount the spools vertically instead of horizontally. You would need to just add a foot to the bottom of the bar to support the spool holder and maybe shorten the rod the spools slide onto so you don't have to lift them as high. That would make everything simpler and more compact and would feed the cable easily too though you may want 2 vertical rollers on either side of the feed tube so it doesn't snag the sides.
I have a question. I watch you videos often and sometimes as you are away from the camera it is hard to hear you. Is there a cheap wireless microphone that can clip on your shirt that could aid with the sound quality? Just a suggestion for improving your video audio quality.
Maybe you could mount your "doughnut" spooler on the output of your wire stripper and make the doughnut of copper immediately after stripping it! That would save LOADS of time!
You need to change the Copper king over to a double pulley to help it with the torque with two belts. This will reduce overall wear and tear, and give you a lot more torque.
I actually post while the video is running and TH-cam will pause the video so I posted that before I saw that you said you were going to change it over to a double pulley system. I was going to go back and delete the comment, but I know that messes with TH-cam metric so I just figured I would leave it as is.
If that was the case I think the Electrical contractor I got it from would have done that. I think once it's cut off the main spool there is no returns.
The Copper King is a big part of your business. You need to take better care of that beast. You have told us you don't know who made it so replacement parts will be difficult or impossible. Thanks for the suggestion. I have replacement blades and I can get the bearings no problem. If something fails I will just use the stripper that is bolted to the side of the main machine until the repairs can be made.
You could have just used one of those wood rolls as a spool for the stripped copper cable ... lock two spools together (drill hole in both, tie with a wire), ... strip a few meters of wire, pause, get the copper wire and insert it through a hole in the empty roll, then resume process... as the machine unspools one roll, the other spool is turned and gathers the stripped cable. Later you can just cut the copper to lengths as you unspool it again.
Hey project I love your videos but at 7:09 please cover the belt or something as the end of the copper falls into there as seen at that time frame could have ended not so nicely
Too easy !!. With your other spools of wire that you normally cut into lengths with the jaws before stripping, can you possibly mount the whole spool and let it run like you did with these smaller spools you just ran ? Look forward to the next update. 👍
