My favourite is the blue shell from DS, so fun and if you were good it was fully controllable.

remember the giant goomba in w4? I killed it once by speeding my shell into the hole with the switch then jumping up at the goomba. it dies instantly if done properly and is so fun. it's also great for being a weapon and a shield

It sucks, like he said it's just a gimmick. Some levels require a mini mushroom for star coins and you have to go all the way back to a level with mini mushrooms and then get one in your extra slot then come all the way back and get to the secret pipe or whatever it is.

IMO, the Super Bell should've made it to top 10. I know you can't fly, but you can still find many secrets such as green stars and stamps with the wall climb ability, as well as cheese certain parts of levels.

@@tripled2505 the spring mushroom is only useful for one purple coin in Beach Bowl, and in Mattersplatter Galaxy, other times, you can use your moveset (such as triple-jumps, backflips, sideflips, spins, and long jumps) to pretty much skip the spring mushroom, it's that useless, the boo mushroom on the other hand, sure there are glitches to skip the boo mushroom, but there are vary little, and plus, these are glitches, sure you could say skipping the spring mushrooms with jumps isn't intended, but at least you are using what the game provides, and not using a malfunction, thus that's why these glitches to skip the boo mushroom don't count, whenever you are forced to use the boo mushroom, there is no way to skip it, plus it's far easier to control.

Personally I think metal Mario should be on par with the star because both Grant you invulnerability for a brief period of time, the only difference is that metal makes you heavy while the star gives you a slight speed boost

BEST: Super Star - Because you're invincible to enemies and can take them out!

The 1-up is my favorite because it has arguably the most iconic sound in Super Mario history
Great video like always, though you should’ve made 2 lists: one being 2d power ups and another being 3D power ups.
It’s pretty confusing how a 3D power up could be better than a 2d power up and vise versa without explaining why it’s better.
You even split up some 3d power ups and 2d ones which made things a little more strange
2 different lists would just be ultimately better in my opinion

The Spring Mushroom is only required for 1 level, the matter splatter galaxy. Super Mario Galaxy is that broken. I think my fav power up is the flying power up from Mario Galaxy, even though it’s only available in 2 spots.

I really love the super bell power up it’s my absolute favorite power up to use.

This was k but I felt like every placement on this list was based on how powerful the power-ups are rather than how fun they are, which i feel would be a lot more personal and fun to watch rather than the anticlimatic end that, yes, the clutch power-up given to you for dying several times in one level that makes you completely invincible and gives you the ability to fly for unlimited amount of time, is the best powerup. Meanwhile ones like mini mushroom, double cherry and blue shell got under-represented as they are incredibly fun to use regardless of how 'strong' they are, which isn't really the main appeal of the Double Cherry, its mostly used for problem solving or additional fun in a multiplayer game.

I feel the cloud flower from galaxy 2 is one of the most creative and fun powerups in the franchises history
