- A Sonic Heroes Stage mod and it's huge! This Seaside Hill stage layout is just Insane. 21 minutes to clear, with an insane amount of enemies and obstacles to get past. Pretty sure I spent around 12 hours getting the recording done on this one. Also used some other mods for visuals and music.

I am convinced this person made this mod because they knew I would play it. lmao they even named the mod Brutal objects from the e3 grand metropolis video I made earlier. The enemies cause quite abit of lag, you'll need a high end pc to run it smoothly. If you enjoyed like and subscribe since there's apparently 3 more Brutal stages now!

I love and miss playing Sonic Heroes, it's a top 5 Sonic Game in my opinion. 1.Sonic 3 and Knuckles, 2.Sonic the Hedgehog 2, 3.Sonic Adventure 2 Battle and Sonic Heroes (tied), 4.Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 5.Sonic Adventure 1.

I hate when they use that just as a difficulty descriptor and not as a qualitative descriptor. Like, for example, KH Critical could POSSIBLY be seen as Lite-Souls, in that it puts a similar emphasis of reading the boss’s patterns and having boss battles be a clash between 2 glass cannons of sorts (that is, the thing that makes the fight long is that you need to survive long enough to get an opening)
Sonic games just don’t work like that, because they aren’t ABOUT direct Combat. A closer analogy would be calling the DLC of unleashed something like “Kaizo the Hedgehog” or something, because both Kaizo Mario mods and Sonic games are platformers

Sonic Team needs to think about something like that. Maybe a combination of the Adventure's and Boost's formula. That would make an no-so-easy level, while being the right lenght.

Tails had such a massive part to play in this all I heard was "leave it to me" lmao
I honestly have mixed feelings about these mods. On one hand, I like that the flying sections are more interesting than just, "switch to Tails, fly up, switch back to Sonic or Knuckles," like it actually involves you dodging obstacles. And I like that enemies are part of some platform challenges, like with the turtles shooting at you before you can get to them so you have to dodge their beams.
But there is too much mandatory combat here if you ask me. In Heroes, you should only spend a lot of time in combat as a punishment for poor play. For not leveling up your characters properly, not using team blast wisely, etc. Ideally, if you're playing correctly, enemies should be gone in under like, 5 seconds. Take the elevator part in Power Plant. If you didn't level up the flying character properly, the pace would come to a halt since you'd have to down the flying enemies with a low-level thunder-shoot and then switch to another character to finish them off. But if you did make sure to make Tails at least level 2, you could annihilate the flying enemies before the elevator even stopped for them, and the pace would keep it's consistent flow. This mod is just loaded with combat that you can't so easily skip.
That's my take.
this is what im always thinking when people complain that sonic heroes has "too much fighting"
so basically, if you're bogged down in combat, it's because you've got issues in other areas that would have made it faster.
Even in the standard game, there are situations near the end of the Team Sonic and Team Dark stories where you have to fight armored hammerbots back to back. What can you manage properly between power levels, Team Blast, and whatever else? You're basically forced to fight for a while just to hit those dumb weakpoints, or grind up Team Blast and progress. Super Hard Mode takes that and ramps it up to eleven across all levels.

When I was child I passed all story and mission stages of this game with A rank. Now I'm 23 and this is literally what I need.

Now _THIS_ is a genuine challenge! Good lord, lol. I like that it's not just adding a ton of enemies and that there's also some pretty creative elements too.

Sea sides beginning to look like brutal side right about now
Ahhhhh...sonic heroes the odd-ball in the series, I honestly really wished they could’ve refined the gameplay and possibly being able to link different characters together such as sonic-omega-cream or different combos like that, possibly even new characters like blaze, silver, sally? There are tons of different characters that could be added....

Shadow-power
Silver-flight
I honestly never played the game, I'm a fairly new Sonic fan and now I realize the gems I missed in my childhood.
Silver and Blaze are my absolute favourites and I would love some kind of Sonic Heroes sequel because this game genuinely looks fun.

The game has a lot of problems
1. The movement feels like your playing on ice and it is really easy to fall off when platforming
2. The levels start to get really long (10-20 minutes long) after the first 3 stages
3. You have to play the story mode 4 separate times because of the different story modes and team chaotically has to most annoying stages because instead of heading to the goal ring you have to find or destroy a certain amount of things
4. Rails are buggy as hell and you cannot switch characters midair so when your falling to a bottomless pit you cannot switch to a flight character
5. The chaos emeralds are so annoying to obtain and the special stages are death
6. The longer stages has a huge lack of checkpoints so you might loose all your lives while 15-17 minutes into the stage and would have to reset the whole stage
Those are a few problems and I wouldn’t recommend it as one of your first 3D sonic games, I’d recommend generations or unleashed (generations is more of a comfortable ride however unleashed has the more creative level design in my opinion)

@@assaultapple6561 I started with Generations about 2 years ago and I loved it very much, then proceeded with Sonic 06 and I actually "kinda" liked it.
The main reason why I played Sonic 06 was because I really REALLY loved Crisis City and I was not disappointed in terms of level design and soundtrack, everything else is very meh, I wish the game could get a complete remake. Also completed Sonic Adventure 2, my next objective is to play and finish Sonic Unleashed because it genuinely looks like a very good game. Not willing to try Forces, the game just doesn't interest me that much.
Thanks for the comment, though, I can see now why everyone doesn't really like it, but I'm still curious to give it a try.
Still hoping more characters get the treatment they deserve like Silver, Blaze or even Vector. They seem like very underrated characters who need their own games.

@@assaultapple6561 Yeah, I noticed. I'm just saying these characters need more attention in the Sonic series in my opinion. Shadow is starting to get more attention which might be a good thing.
I hope 2020 will be a great year for Sonic, the movie genuinely looks great so far and I can't wait for a new game announcement.
I really like the part where you have to ascend that tower as Tails pulling on the switches. Creative.
I think what really made me chuckle was when you finally made it to the first loop and you were already level 3.

This difficulty... is off it’s bonk, I swear. Props for making it to the end without a death. Can’t help but notice that some areas demand Level 3 skills... Hoo boy.

There were so many spots where I thought to myself 'now this is too much.' It looks like Eggman is really stepping up his game!
There are so many issues with Sonic Heroes, but as usual the music thankfully isn't one of them. Despite the issues, it was my very first Sonic game. So I still get pretty nostalgic everytime I see anything related to the game.
Sonic Heroes is pretty much like the Super Mario Sunshine of the series.
This isn't your average Seaside hill....this is...ADVANCE Seasode hill!!!!

My god the level of difficulty in this level is reduced significantly by the level up system. Sonic with his hurricane homing attack and rocket accel, knuckles with his high damage aoe attacks, and tails with his flight and thunder shoots that stun pretty much any badnik. Truly the power of teamwork at its finest.

From someone who has played Sonic Heroes since they were about 7 years old, and it took me years to beat the game (I never got past Rail Canyon until much later) This level would have killed little kid me. I mean I was the kind of dumbass who ended up dying on seaside hill because I sucked at video games.
If eggman put all his robots in one level, this is what you get. Looks more fun than the “super hard mode” from the original that’s for sure though.
