Lets see spookston play the british crusaider "the saint", because its a rare case where low tier british has APHE, fast reload rate AND a stabilizer in one tank.
If you're interested, the reason the Valentine Mk. IX didn't have a coax was because of how the six pounder was mounted internally. They could have probably built around it but the Mk.IXs were being built at a pretty critical moment in the war and production counts were more important than anything at that point. Later variants would re-gain the coax once the 6 pounder was replaced with the 75mm quick firing gun. I'm a pretty big Valentine enjoyer, it served in every theatre of the war and the diesel engine versions were brutally reliable, there were certain units that drove 5,000km in North Africa, a notoriously harsh environment on most tanks of the time. Pretty much everyone who received them liked them, the Soviets were still ordering new Valentines as late as '44 even though on paper they had far better tanks available to them.

The most annoying thing about the Valentine IX (and the Churchill III) is that Gaijin got the guns wrong. They gave the Churchill III the 6pdr Mk V whilst giving the Valentine IX the shorter 6pdr Mk III version. In reality it was the other way around and you can see that ingame by the fact that the Valentine has a significantly longer barrel. Also the Valentine X version has a slightly redesigned turret to allow a coaxial machine gun. I don't know why Gaijin didn't add this version.

The Valentine tank was Vickers promising to build an infantry support tank that was lightweight and cheap. The Valentine manages to be lighter than a Crusader light tank and has around twice the armor. Also, its production started on the early years of the war and mainly saw combat in North Africa. The German army in North Africa was basically last to get vehicles, equipment, and supplies. Rare canadian tank day, the tank was designed really early so it was okayish armor wise for its time. The lack of an MG is due to the 6pdr, as it was originally made with a 2pdr but the design was upgunned like so many others
This tank was designed to the cheapest (when germans run trough France british forces lost a lots of tanks and other stuff) it was good tank ,only need to hold until churchill and other better tanks are arived , matilda 2 was way more expensive to produce, most of this was sended to soviets cuz they more desperate to have tanks ,at this time they moving production behind ural where they are safe
It was basically a welded Matilda 2, From what I can find the engines were also derived from commercial engines and the tank was rather reliable, likely because it wasn't especially heavy, at about half the weight of the Sherman.
I’ll give you this one since it’s valentines day, but there’s this other rlly funny soviet tank at 1.3 called the T-35. It’s very silly and versatile, great at fending off multiple opponents from multiple directions thanks to controlling turrets independently of each other

I honestly think the valentine 1 is the best one bc it has more side armor which means you can angle it really well. And at 2.3 the 2pdr isn't obsolete just yet
"So we need, like, small tank for infantry suppport. It will have pretty bad armour and be slow as hell, so infantry can easly keep up with it! But it also has to have good cannon to destroy enemy's armoured vechicles!" "Ehm, but why make it slow? It could just drive slower when fighting alongside infantry. Also, what about machineguns?" "Why would it need machinegun? Infantrymen have their own guns! Also, what would the tank need mobility higher than 20km/h for lol?"
It was designed to be slow so it didnt have the oppurtunity to abandon infantry in a "go down with the ship" fashion. Also its armor was certainly good for its time, especially considering its low weight.
@@cybernetic_crocodile8462 At the time the Valentine was introduced, that was actually really good armor. This tank was introduced in 1940. This was the same time period where Panzer IVs had short 75s and 30mm of armor.
That plane spinning to his death for no reason definitely needed a clip of Anakin saying “spinning is a good trick!” Before the plane then promptly explodes
Saying ‘stopping kids from saying first’ makes you a first kid too, don’t deny it. Edit: This is my most liked comment and it had nothing to do with the video, damn
To be fair to the valentine IX, it doesn't have a coax because they ran out of space with the old turret. They immediately fixed the issue on the X variant by implementing the redesigned turret made by the Canadians in the VI and VII variants, which had an armored glacis and a coax and could fit the 6-pdr with a loader. And the point of the valentine was just that it was cheap to produce. They were aware that the valentine was inferior as an infantry tank compared to the earlier Matilda II and the Churchill that they were cooking up already, but the valentine was cheaper than both so it got printed out. Eventually they were mostly being produced to be handed out to the soviets, which is why despite account for a quarter of all tanks produced by the British, was only used in the north Africa campaign by them, with the soviets, the Australians and the New Zealanders using them elsewhere for the rest of the war.

"Ehm, but why make it slow? It could just drive slower when fighting alongside infantry. Also, what about machineguns?"
"Why would it need machinegun? Infantrymen have their own guns! Also, what would the tank need mobility higher than 20km/h for lol?"
It was designed to be slow so it didnt have the oppurtunity to abandon infantry in a "go down with the ship" fashion. Also its armor was certainly good for its time, especially considering its low weight.
@@cybernetic_crocodile8462 At the time the Valentine was introduced, that was actually really good armor. This tank was introduced in 1940. This was the same time period where Panzer IVs had short 75s and 30mm of armor.
I love the British engineering doctrine of lawnmower engines and solid shot combined with a lack of obvious features.
... And the silly reverse gears - they are like something Hitler would think up to enforce his "no retreat" policy😅
Attempt 13: Play the maus but only the 75mm gun
Funny looking Celere Sahariano, you must have gotten them mixed up in the wash
One of the best Italian pizza delivery vehicles is the breda 90/53 you should play it
Noooo way I was that t-70 that died, I remember that game, I've been looking for my name in the vids for a while now, love your vids man
Kugelblitz when? 🙂
That plane spinning to his death for no reason definitely needed a clip of Anakin saying “spinning is a good trick!” Before the plane then promptly explodes
who needs a stabilizer when you cant move faster than 10kph
British engineering, we can get outflanked, we can get out gunned but we can shoot when moving
3:50 THAT SHIT WAS PERSONAL
of course he plays the valentine on valentine's day
From my time playing war thunder I have learned that the british hate 3 things:
1. Fighting their own tanks
2. Reverse gears
3. Using aphe
Saying ‘stopping kids from saying first’ makes you a first kid too, don’t deny it.
Edit: This is my most liked comment and it had nothing to do with the video, damn

You know that saying "Saying "stopping kids from saying first" makes you a first kid too, don't deny it." makes you a first kid too, don't deny it.
Someone give this guy the E key

5mm or 10mm of structural steel: Exists
Solidshot: My main job is to bounce or shatter
A "fun“ challenge for you: Play the Lago 1, but without the apds.
As an Ikv 73 / strv m/42 player, I can say that playing against Valentine or Matildas it's a hell, every part might be a shot trap xd
Could you play the ARL-44? Its a very fun french tank destroyer
"I'm not built for this slow tank life"
It's a peaceful life
Day 79 of asking Spookston to play the AMX-50 Foch
British tanks are pretty wild with their variety aside from their mobility.
Truly one of the tanks, good video again though Spookston we always enjoy!
BR YOU DIDNT GET CASED ONCE
I looked up the Pz.IV H player at 13:40 on Thunderskill and yes, he is not very good.
Day 106 of asking Spookston to play the Type 90s
That Pz IV at 13:41 , holy crap, I'm a German main and haven't done this (yet probably) but it happens to me all the time
Day 8 of asking spookston to play the IS-3
I think this is one of those rare instances where Spookston diden't get bombed. Someone mark this date.
Day 1 asking to get nuke using SU-100Y
cromwell V has similar armor but it's fast (not on reverse gear), I really like it
Spookston havin Valentines day witn Gajin RNG
Na-To next? 6 sweaty Asian men in a metal tub sounds like a great follow up to Valentines day
Playing a Valentine tank on Valentine's Day is so awesome.
Yay! A video from my favorite wt cc 😊 and on Valentine aswell!
Suprisingly when you fit a 6pdr into a turret built for a 2pdr so you can fight tanks you don't really have coax space
Makes me wonder why they didn't just put the Mk.X in game in the British tech tree since it's basically this with the coax...
After playing this thing today I now really really appreciate the little things my MG can do
I really wanna see you play the Alecto 1 if you have it
I found what stole its machine gun, on the crusader AA MK 2 theres a random machine gun on the cannons that doesnt work for some reason
