While the Turan II is good, the Turan III is absolutely ridiculous, a long 75 with 140mm of pen with a 5.9 sec reload.
Its basically a Panzer IV that trades armor for speed and has an absurd reverse gear capable of hitting 44km/h.
You are faster than most light tanks in its BR while going in reverse.

I remember seeing a video of a simulation of 800mm Gustav round hitting T-34's driver hatch. Ofc the whole tank was ripped in two, but the hatch was not even dent.

i heard you hate british vehicles, vehicles that do no damage and vehicles that are basically CAS magnets, so i think you should play the ratel 90; a gigantic british light tank with no armor, that only gets 90mm HEAT with a 7 second aced reload and that somehow always gets strafed by planes before it's even allowed to leave spawn (day 54)

If you subtract 70 from Ratel 90, you would get better light tank

Fun fact, actually the hungarian army called it the 'heavy Turan'. In the hungarian system they looked at the diameter of the gun to determine which class of tank should the tank go.
Hello Spookston, since your CAS speedrun video I've had this idea that might be very fun (or very painful) for a video. Basically it is to play ground rb without ever spawning in a ground unit
First, you spawn in a heli with dumb fire rockets, rush the enemy, get some kills, and spawn in a plane
Pros: funniest shit ever for the sole reason that it's possible
Cons: need to become a heli rusher and be damned for all eternity

Considering we have the VK 30.02 (M) in the game, it wouldn't surprise me if we ever get the VK 30.01 (H) in the game too. As we could get four variants: The short 75mm KwK 37, the long 75mm KwK 40, a tank version of the 105mm LeFH 18 howitzer, or the 50mm KwK 39.
Or the VK 36.01 (H), basically a baby Tiger I.
germany has many tank options available digging in the prototypes
tho personally i'm more partial to seeing more of their light tanks, Pz II Luchs, Pz II J (bby tiger), VK 16.02 Leopard, their medium-heavy slots are pretty well filled already

The most underrated thing about all of the Turan variants, which I have come to abuse the hell out of when playing them, is the reverse speed. Gotten me out of so many situations I really shouldn’t have gotten out of. Love these goobers, though I’m sad I’ll never get the turan 2 because it came out before the tech tree

Attempt number 37 at getting Spookston to play any tank with a dozer blade, the catch is, he has to dig in before engaging targets. Movement around the map is allowed, but he has to dig in again before reengaging.

I've always loved how the Turan looks like a tank straight from Red Alert 2's Mental Omega mod or a GLA tank up-armored. The angular look and bulky barrel will do that.
The Turan's are the best medium tanks in the Italian tech tree and it's hilarious that they aren't even Italian.

The AMX 40 is really good. Has a little better armour compared to a Laopard 2K so it isn't shreded apart that easily by a 20 mm or a 30 mm gun.

The Turán 1, 2, 3 (only a prototype existed) and a planned 4th tank that never got made but had its plans discovered by Allied forces
Hungarian engineering and industry has always been respectable. This coming from a Lithuanian-American. Thats what drove me to co-author the Turán II article for the Tank Encyclopedia

@@officialxverzusz No, a 4th Turán type was never designed or even thought of, what you talking about is the 44M Tas, out of which only two prototypes were made, a preview model made from soft, non armor grade steel and one half done made from actual RHA steel and lacked any modules
I wish they would add the 44M Tas. It's such a cool thing and if the Ostwind II can exist so can the Tas
I remember getting this tank shortly after it came to the battlepass because it was genuinely unique, and it has my highest KD of about 12 to 1 because it’s stupidly ridiculously. Fast, gun go boom, and the protection it actually not horrendous. Haven’t touched it in a while though…
The Turan III is prob one if not the best medium tank at its BR:amazing 75mm cannon with good reload speed, amazing pen+post pen damage and speed. The turret rotation is okay,your suspensions makes your vehicle almost fully stabilised at low speeds and finally you're fast asf, both forwards and reverse

Having the Turan III in an Italy lineup is so fucking nice. Back when it was 3.7, it turned my 3.7 lineup of the P40, a Sherman and the Semovente into a heavy killing force. Italian HEAT and the Sherman gun are plenty good but fuck there is something so nice about seeing a cocky uparmoured KV1 or KV2 think it's immune and you just nail it in the throat.

I've used it in a 4.0 lineup together with the first Sherman and the premium Breda 90 and let me tell you,it can be a menace even when facing 5.0 vehicles,that tank is honestly insane
The APHE on this thing used to be pretty crappy...
But then Gaijin buffed it recently with 30 mm more penetration and far better slope effects for literally no draw backs. It's pretty good.
When did that happen? I remember it had around the same performance as the the short 75mm on Pz IVs.

Slat armour not only destroys/defuses geat round fuses but it can also deform the shape of the shaped charge thus making it less effective

8:31 the round getting stopped is something I've noticed a lot lately. I've noticed quite a few things on different maps that I used to be able to shoot through that now completely eat rounds when you hit them.

Alright...my point is that: when the Turan drives forward, it takes some secund to make it drive full max speed forward, but when u drive backwards it takes like 1 sec and the tank drives full speed backwards

PZ 4 F1 works like a dream as well. At low speed the 75mm is almost stabilized completely. IIRC it is also 2.0 with the 100mm pen HEAT rounds.
i only had to ask like once! thanks spookston! the APHE shell use to have MUCH worse pen, not sure when they buffed it. its deff awesome now

I've not seen or played that Port Novo map in ages!
Т-80 got the thin metal sheets on the turret, originally meant to hide bad welding of the plates. However, volumetric turns these metal sheets into T-III driver ports, making seemingly huge weakspot into unreliable one.

My friend bought me the BP when this tank was around, this tank is such a joy to play, very fun HEAT thrower and I did grind out the Italian Techtree rank 1 to rank 3 with only this, 1160 kills and 660 battles, even tapped into rank 4 with this. Very enjoyable tank 10/10

You should play the OF-40 Italian tank it's an 8.0 with spaced turret armor, a laser range finder, and good reload. However only bring 19/20 shells and hide the hull.
