I was really hoping to streamline my Zwift experience this winter and eliminate the need for my laptop setup by using a bluetooth heart rate monitor, Wahoo Kickr and Android phone.
The problem was I didn't have a bluetooth heart rate monitor so I went to Aliexpress to shop around and hopefully find something that would work!
I finally decided to order the SunDing bluetooth 4.0 heart rate monitor and after a bit of bad luck finally got it to work on Zwift... here is my unboxing and initial thoughts on this inexpensive product!

hey mike, i have a question. intro to the question: i bought a smartwatch with heartrate monitor and i noticed the heartrate monitor on that was fake (just flashing lights and a random number generator (between 70bpm and 90)). how do i know the heart rate on the smartwatch is fake?
-i "measured" my heartrate with it just laying on the table
-i measured my heartrate with my fingers on my neck and a bpm counter app and compared it to the bpm on the watch
my question: does this heartrate monitor actually work?
if you need other ways to test wether it works or not, try:
-measure heart rate, take the device off, go sprinting 200 meters/yards (100 each way) put it back on and measure again
-go lay in bed, just lay stil for 30min-hour, (put it on) measure your heartrate to see if it actually shows a low heartrate
Sorry to hear about your watch! Sounds like a knock-off/fake/counterfeit :(
I've used with zwift and haven't had any issues with this strap reading all varying (low and all the way to my max HR) numbers so I can only say mine is working as intended.

How to turn on the belt ? I see no button on it..
I just get the back of it a little wet and put it on. Similar to the Garmin HRM.

Are you using for zwift? Can you find it on any other bluetooth devices? I recall I downloaded the app for it, once the app found the HRM I had no issues finding it! (I deleted the app since and still works fine). Hope this helps!

Hi! Unfortunately I am not sure. It *should* connect to your phone (I think that's how you want to pair?) via bluetooth, but I only use this for my indoor zwift setup. (I use a garmin outdoors which doesn't have BT compatibility)
$115!! that is not cheap. you can get wahoo one for half that.
I'd have to watch the video for the error but it was a little under $12 CDN. Don't buy it for $115!
