This company is built different and I don’t think many people realize it... what other manufacturer puts out a video showing how to maintain your stuff yourself?
Late reply here but I agree. Was telling the tech at my local dealer about these videos and he wasn’t even aware of them. Definitely a rarity in any industry these days.
Instead of the rag being placed at the bottom pan, use a grit guard that goes in a wash bucket. Prevents splashing and there is no need to waste a rag. Additionally, I find that taking a funnel and placing close to the cover helps as well.

I agree, most people I know that own these motorcycles absolutely love them and do all the maintance themselves as it is somewhat cathartic for them.

I would have even gone an extra step and remove the Ignition Coils fuse or relay and crank the engine until primed with oil

Why does it have 2 drain plugs?
Not sure why the design is, but the mechanical reason is that it has two separate sumps where it picks up from.
