You have no idea how much of a relief it was to find someone plusize into sewing and costuming. While Bernadette Banner and Morgan Donner are absolutely brilliant people, I've always wonder how to accomodate garments to my size as a beginning seamstress. Enchanted Rose Costumes and Costuming Drama are alson great for that and all of you are and godsend. So thank you for putting content outthere even if it's scary. (Also, Freya looks fantastic and I may try to do a dressform like that one day)
I agree whole heartedly with your comment. I love watching all the aforementioned you tubers and seeing more people who are larger sizes inspires me to attempt more of this as a beginner.
Same to what everyone else has written! Also, I've been looking for ways to make an accurate fabric dress form for more than a year, and I am so excited by the possibly that I may have finally found the right method for me!
Thank you for being vulnerable. I love how Freya turned out and, as a plus sized woman, I truly appreciate you putting it out for us to see! You are beautiful. As for any future negative comments - the delete button is a fabulous invention.
I was afraid to tackle this project but it really enhanced my skill set. Yours looks fabulous thank you for sharing and guiding me through this. I enjoy your teaching.
I’m trying a Bootstrap pattern after seeing your video. Please please remember how much you’re helping people by “putting your shape out there” I don’t think of you as big but as an extremely brave and generous person. Thank you so much
I'm a plus size too and I need to see how other people of all shapes and sizes look in their garments, as well as sewing them. Bernadette looks wonderful in everything, but I am interested in how others look in their walking skirts and shirtwaists, as well as how to size up patterns and just everything else too!! I love your choice of fabric for Freya.
Thank you for putting this on the internet! I was thinking about padding my dress form, but "clothing" it in a bootstrap form seems way better. During the video I thought a couple of times: "Wow, she is so in peace with herself and her size, I wish I was there, too." And in the end you talked about your own vulnerability and I realized: "Okay, it's work everyday for all of us. But it is worth it." Thank you for that, too. I send you my love and respect.
I think it's gorgeous and I think you are very brave. I love that you were honest. It's so hard to find people who are honest about their size and shape... Especilly amoung us plus size girls.
Threads Magazine has instructions for padding out a dress form in issue 161. The form is a removable cover the way the Met gets costumes ready for a new opera.
Thank you so much for putting 'yourself' out there. I have been wanting to make vintage clothes, but am a bigger girl too. Trying to get a dress form on a budget is almost impossible, especially if not the normal sizes. I predict lots of new clothes in my future!
Vintage style clothes are my end goal as well. Places like Unique Vintage end up getting pretty expensive, and since I have an odd shape I end up needing to tailor it anyway. Where do you get your patterns from?
@@londoncherieback2206 I have started collecting patterns from the main companies, but have been learning how to make them actually fit me, will take way more math than I am used to, which is ironic because my mother actually wrote math text books and made her own clothes for much of her life, including almost everything the bridal party wore when my parents got married. She made the guys buy pants, but she did everything else while doing graduate work. Lol, I barely got the alterations to my own dress done the night before my wedding!

I am afraid of this too! My plan is: use a fabric that I freaking love to look at, and worse case scenario I have her “wear” some garment that I love but don’t wear often when I am not using her for fitting
I love Freya! She turned out amazingly! As a fellow plus sized musician: Go you good thing! Thank you for being brave. Once my size has stabilized I really want to make a bootstrap form myself.
They do sell a multi sized version of the dress form that ranges from 18 to 28 so you can make various sizes. I went that route for my own dress form while using a personalized one for my husband's. Both came out well. But next time I make one, I'm so stealing Ms. Rebecca's idea of using a smaller dress form!
I've been holding out on ordering a Bootstrap form until I saw someone plus like me making one! Great idea to use Slim and I'm going to do that too. Thanks so much xx

I have seen this bootstrap pattern and my size made me think "yeah that's not gonna work" for my size. I don't have any sewing friends local to help fit. This video and you putting yourself and Freya out there gives me hope I can be successful. Thank you.
I'm merely a quilter with a sewing machine I have had for about a month. I was looking into mannequins for selling on my plus sized Poshmark store. The TH-cam goddesses brought me to you. I'm so glad they did! I could never have the skills you do but I will continue to watch your content for fun and in hopes your amazing sewing skills may rub off upon me! ♥️
Great idea! You will save on stuffing and time. She is beautiful and the rose fabric is gorgeous. I admire your confidence. The false idea of what women look like has caused misery for women and unrealistic aspirations for men. You go girl!
Thank you for posting this using the smaller hard dress form inside. I am stuck at the bootstrap instructions on how to make the interior support tube area. However, I picked up a dress form just like you did at a yard sale for $8. Hubby and I discussed using it as the "insides" of my form, but I said, "no, I am a stick to the pattern, gal". Guess what? Seeing your success with the hard dress form as the interior, I am going that route. I will try to post pics when completed. By the way, congrats on posting this and showing courage to say "hey...this is me and my form." The majority of us out here are also larger women of all ages, shapes and stages of life. WE are loved no matter what our size!
I love it. I wish there were these when I was sewing all my clothes! I always wanted to see how I would look in an outfit in the fat ladies( that is what my dad called them) catalogs I got....I would say to me "do I look like that?" when I saw other plus size women in nice outfits. I saw me in the mirror but never me on the streets....hard to explain. But I love this channel and you. Thank-you from the teen I was 50 years ago!
I have been battling weight issues for all of my life; I am now 77 and finally back to my high school weight...don't get excited, it's 196 lb. Still, I now know that this is only an issue for the insecure people who live to judge others, and fie on the lot of them! To hell with insecurity! I wake up every morning and thank God for another wonderful day, fluffy butt and all! I have often though of stuffing my little craft store dress form into a custom form and you were absolutely right! It looks great and I will do the same; thank you for being an inspiration. Illegitimati non carborundum sunt!
Freya is gorgeous! As a plus-sized Whovian, I heartily approve of your t-shirt...and your impressive jury-rigging skills. Using Slim as her core was inspired. Looks like a Bootstrap pattern is somewhere in my future!
I forgot to tell you how great Freya looks. She looks great! I also love your choice of fabric, so much better than a plain solid color. To all the other plus girls out there as I try to remind myself - "Love the skin your in!!!" You just made that easier for us to do!
I've been on the fence about making a dress form. I don't view myself positively especially since menopause struck. I think Freya is gorgeous and curvy and you both are lovely. Thank you for being so open and showing me how to make this form. I am going to make mine as well.
I made one using the duck tape system, but it was both hard to put a pin in and pins came out sticky, LOL. Since I lost weight this year, I needed a new one, so I'm taping up my bootstrap pattern as i write this. I feel bad replacing my me#2, and have been giving her hugs every time I pass by her. Both because she served me well and because I want to reinforce that I love myself no matter my size. My husband, who feeds us, went keto and we started watching Dr. Ken Berry, who is a lot of fun to learn from. Only mentioning it because I'm 60 years old and wish I knew it was actually possible to break my carb addiction and fix my lifelong IBS. But seriously, give Freya a hug! She is beautiful :) Oh dear, I just noticed I actually commented 2cyears ago!
My back to front is disproportionate as well. Thank you for doing this. I feel more confident about ordering this now. And hey. We all have body issues. I have a restaurant opening day list of issues myself. So I am inspired to see you putting it out there. Working smart and not hard is a good thing. That smaller dress form idea is genius.
We are all disproportionate in one way or the other, I carry ALL of my extra weight from my belly button down and finding clothes to fit and forms to fit is exhausting!
I love how this came out! The idea to reuse the former dress form is awesome, I can’t wait to see how it does with drafting over corsets to allow you to easily play with different historical silhouettes.
I do think it is very rare for a person to NOT have insecurities about themselves. Loved your video. Your sincerity in all that you did in this video was very refreshing. Thank you!
Courage and bravery are not shown by doing what is easy, but what is hard. Brava! And I love the patterned fabric for Freya. So often forms are done with plain fabric (for various reasons); it was startling refreshing to see someone taking the road less traveled! Brava en plus!
this is such a happy video for me to watch.....not only did Freya turn out well, she is so stinking cute with that fabric! As Ive watched your other vids Id think *she needs a form to work on* and now, voila, you have one! I can hardly wait to see the affect it has to your end products! And I want to make one. A life size me, in doll form. Extra huggable, like yours. ;) Mine will need a face, perhaps needle sculpted and glass eyes... and a wig so hats will fit well! and strong arms. I might make hands as well. Thank you so much. Imagine the young ones watching and understanding its very ok to be themselves. Hugs!
The last few minutes of your video made me cry. It is such a beautiful thing to be vulnerable and put yourself out there. Your dress form is beautiful! I also just finished my bootstraps dress form. I’m also a plus size woman. At first I was worried about how I would feel seeing my body like that every day. But I actually LOVE HER! It is an exercise in self love and acceptance and now I can make clothes without patterns! I did laugh because it took 5 cheap pillows worth of stuffing. I am now using that as my size “5 pillows worth of stuffing size” haha! Thank you for sharing your experience with this make!
Thank you for sharing this 🖤 I am so happy to see this dress form take shape and it’s encouraging me to take a stab at one of these. (I’ve been stressing out about making one with duct tape or plaster. This is way more my comfort level!!!) Woman like you give me courage to accept and love all of myself.
You are my hero! I've been afraid to make one of these for myself because I didn't really want to look at my huge "form" everytime I go in to my sewing room. Seeing yours turn out so pretty has encouraged me! Thanks.
All your glory, you’re beautiful. I love freya, I’ve been on the edge of trying a bootstrap form and you’ve made it real. Mine will look a lot like yours. 😎
40??? I thought you were like early thirties!? I’m terrible at guessing people’s age. Anyway! Freya looks great and I love the name haha. And let’s be honest Brünnhildes are ALWAYS difficult creatures, whatever form they come in. I’m definitely going to look into bootstrap!! ❤️
I also was like '40!!!! No way!!!!'!!!! I loved the names in combo with the music 🎶 so fitting😆 And my Großmutti has the middle name Brunhilde... totally fitting as she is a fiery one😅 Thanks for sharing your video!!! Feeling inspired to update my duct tape dress form😁
Smaller dress form inside, GENIOUS!!!! You're so creative very BRAVE! YES! This Is a hard reaity we face. 😰 I'm with you. Thank you!!! You're an inspiration❤️
I really appreciate you posting this. I've been wondering if I should make one. I don't have a dress form and I'm also quite large so buying a pre-made one isn't going to work. I'm very interested in how you'll feel about it after you've made some projects with it. What worked, what didn't work, would you tweak it in any way, stuff it differently, etc? I would love to see a follow up review some point in the future. Good luck with Freya!
Thank you for doing this video. I have body issues, yet I want to make clothing that actually fit me. You have inspired me. Not just to make a for, but to be happy with who I am as a plus-size gal. ❤
I have a dress form that I can pad out, and I am finding more and more that I need it, especially for hemming. I don't have anyone in my house that has the ability to help me with that. This project just shot up into the top-five range.
Luckily, I have a housemate that can help me with measures and fitting (since I don't have a dress form, or even a sewing machine!). However, if you are planning to pad out an existing dress form, I did run across this great video on padding a dress form, from RedThreaded: th-cam.com/video/TSynFz6-ZFM/w-d-xo.html I think she does a really good job of explaining the process, if you just need to pad out specifically, and not create a new form!
I'm so glad you shared your dress form making. I'm around your shape/size and it's so difficult to find videos of people who feel like they are also my size making things that I want to make. Thank you.
I’ve been contemplating making one of these Bootstrap forms for a long time. In fact I’ve already purchased the pattern and the base fabric. It was good to see how it comes together. I’ve got to get the rest of the support materials and then I can start. In my very limited experience of trying to self draft a pattern based on an existing garment and fit it to myself, with only my kids to help me, I figured out that to do much sewing for myself, I was going to need a dress form. I’m hoping mine matches me as well as yours matches you. It is encouraging to see your efforts and I appreciate your vulnerability to help us out in our sewing adventures. Your dress form looks great and I bet it will be a huge asset to you. Edited to add: I can’t believe you’re 40! I’m 44 and I thought you were at least 10 years younger than me.
Freya is so pretty! The choice of a lovely floral instead of a boring beige or white just makes it so lovely and pretty, and I think celebrates your body in a way that a plain fabric just can’t. When I do eventually get around to making my own (it’s the only way I’ll get my size without spending $500+), I think I’ll take my cue from you, and use a fabric that makes me feel good to look at. Hopefully then it will be something nice and decorative in my space, instead of something I feel ashamed of. Much love.
I REALLY appreciate you putting this out there and letting yourself be vulnerable. You are beautiful and should be so proud that you are strong enough in yourself to do that.
As a big woman myself, I could so fully relate to the whole experience and emotions that played out in this whole clip. I could sense the dread and apprehension WITH you, in laying everything so bare, in front of a wide audience, who could use their anonymity to lash out cruel remarks, if they so wished. I could sense the anxiety in me build up throughout the stitching together, and finally filling up, of Freya. And....Voila! You did it!! The initial "shock" or disappointment, if you like, at seeing a dress form totally in contrast to what our preconceived minds are accustomed to, waned into relief, and the realisation that the shape that emerged, was as REAL as could be! The shape of a woman who hopefully lives life to the full. Maybe indulging a little bit too much here and there, but hey, also a woman who definitely exudes fun, warmth and compassion. What was so interesting to me, was that the longer I stared at Freya, summing up her features, the more she became REAL and someone I could fully relate to. The choice of fabric was spot on, too, adding to the overall soft, approachable vibe. You go, Girl!
Freya is absolutely beautifully gloriously gorgeous. Just like you! Thank you for being *brave* and putting this out there. Most of us have body insecurities, it’s pretty universal. Gratitude for all the hard work you put into this video.
What a courageous girl you are. I would never put myself out there as you've just done. Freja is lovely with pink flowers. I've finally found a gardener in my zone and latitude, and now I've found a seamstress much closer to my size. Thank You so much for these videos. Only found you a few weeks ago. Take care. What a relief to have a plus size costumer to follow. I have been wishing for this. I watch Angela Clayton, Rachel Maksy and Micarah. After awhile it gets depressing-there is no “snatched waist” at my house.😊
M'Lady you are beautiful! Do not stress on "putting yourself out there" as we are all unique and we are all beautiful in our uniqueness. I want to thank you for being a strong courageous woman!. I was once a lot bigger than I am now - my weight loss was NOT on purpose but major health related and I still deal with issues accepting me as I am now (no I am not "skinny" but I weigh a lot less than I once did). I have upmost respect for you - I would love it if we were able to be friends as your personality is one I need a lot more exposure to. I love Freya, I look forward to all the amazing creations you will be able to make with her by your side. Thank you for being a part on this amazing Cos-tube community!
Thank you for making this video. I,too, am plus size and I understand your hesitation on “putting yourself out there”. All I can say is bravo, it took strength to do it and I think you are amazing.
You made my toght come true. You did what I want to do. I'm nota plus size, but definitely I'm not the standard measure either. I have this crazy idea in my head to use a smaller and cheap mannequin and personalized to be "me". And I find your video! I'm so lucky, I feel lucky right now and it's all because of this video. Thank you!
Love the dramatic music choice and the appearance of tiny kitty feet by the sewing machine. XD This still seems like a very intimidating project for a beginner but it's nice to know this will work for a plus size mannequin as well. Thank you for making this video!
I’m a plus size too, and I’m so happy that there are women who are showing their vulnerability and still be comfortable. I never thought of using a smaller dress form underneath. I have an old one, maybe I’ll try it that way. Thank you!
I must say that this video just popped up on my feed on the TV and I had to switch to my desktop so I could comment. I really enjoyed your vid even though I am not a costumer nor have the desire to make my own dress form (even I have no desire to see my 66 yr old nakedness standing around. lol). I am however a sewist and enjoy watching other sewists and your video was (IMHO) nicely presented and enjoyable to watch. Freya is a beautiful flower. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing this video. Freya is beautiful, and I hope she helps you to make some beautiful draped fashions for yourself! I think it was a great idea to use a smaller, inexpensive dress form for Freya's core. 😀
Wonderful that this is available. Thanks for sharing. Years ago I tried to make a dress form by wrapping myself in chicken wire. My son wouldn't help with wrapping. He thought I lost my mind! 😆
I sincerely am happy that you talked us through what you are doing!! Thank you so much!! The music was a little bit loud, but not too bad with your explanations. Again thank you. We round people do not fit most patterns.
Bumping into your channel is ending my day with joy & a smile. I want to sew/fit more of my own clothing as a short fluffy person, and may treat myself to a Bootstrap pattern due to your success with Freya. Watching the rest of your videos will be such fun with your smile & honesty to guide the way. Thank you for letting yourself be vulnerable so the rest of us can find out courage. ☺

Thank you so much! ♥️
Yay! I'm happy with how she turned out. Best of luck if you decide to make one!
I forgot to tell you how great Freya looks. She looks great! I also love your choice of fabric, so much better than a plain solid color.
To all the other plus girls out there as I try to remind myself - "Love the skin your in!!!" You just made that easier for us to do!
Thank you so much!
I've been on the fence about making a dress form. I don't view myself positively especially since menopause struck. I think Freya is gorgeous and curvy and you both are lovely. Thank you for being so open and showing me how to make this form. I am going to make mine as well.
Awesome! Good luck with yours!
I'm so glad! Good luck making your dress form!
We are all disproportionate in one way or the other, I carry ALL of my extra weight from my belly button down and finding clothes to fit and forms to fit is exhausting!
As a rather large older woman I thank you for this. I totally felt your vulnerability and applaud your bravery. I am now a subscriber. 👏👏
Thank you! Welcome!
I love how this came out! The idea to reuse the former dress form is awesome, I can’t wait to see how it does with drafting over corsets to allow you to easily play with different historical silhouettes.
Thank you! I'm so excited to finally have a useable dress form!
I do think it is very rare for a person to NOT have insecurities about themselves. Loved your video. Your sincerity in all that you did in this video was very refreshing. Thank you!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
She looks beautiful and so are you!! Thank you for keeping it real, and also showing us plus sized ladies that we can make ANYTHING we want!!
Thank you so much! Yes! We can make anything!
Courage and bravery are not shown by doing what is easy, but what is hard. Brava! And I love the patterned fabric for Freya. So often forms are done with plain fabric (for various reasons); it was startling refreshing to see someone taking the road less traveled! Brava en plus!
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it!
this is such a happy video for me to watch.....not only did Freya turn out well, she is so stinking cute with that fabric!
Hugs!
Thank you so much for your nice comment! I am so happy to have a useable dress form! I definitely recommend making one!
You win the internet today with Freya. You made me feel empowered, thank you.
I'm so glad!
Good job on the new dress form! That was a really good idea to put the smaller form to make a solid core; and use of an already existing stand!
Thanks so much! It worked well!
You're welcome! Good luck with your form! Definitely easier than duct tape!
You are my hero! I've been afraid to make one of these for myself because I didn't really want to look at my huge "form" everytime I go in to my sewing room. Seeing yours turn out so pretty has encouraged me! Thanks.
I'm so glad! You can do it!
You're gorgeous. One fluffy girl to another, I'm all about this being an empowered moment for you and for the rest of us. ❤❤❤ Thank you for sharing!
Thank you! ♥️
BRAVO!!! For the courage to expose yourself so honestly!!! Be proud of you!!!!! Great!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Love Freya!!
Omg where have you been all my sewing life lols I might try sewing what I want to now in my size love elaine Lincolnshire uk
Yay! Sew all the things!! ♥️
Hi.. I am also in the UK ... and this does look like a great idea.
All your glory, you’re beautiful. I love freya, I’ve been on the edge of trying a bootstrap form and you’ve made it real. Mine will look a lot like yours. 😎
Awesome! Best of luck!
😂 Yes, she is a tricky one. I definitely recommend making a Bootstrap form.
I also thought she was my age (early 30s). She has a very young face.
I thought she meant 40” bust
@@katywuste9054 Ha ha! No, I'm 56 inch bust, but 40 years old. 😂
Thanks! I will be using her in my upcoming projects, and will let you all know how she works out. 🙂
I'm also 40-something and plus sized, and I appreciate you putting this out in the world.
Welcome! ♥️
The music made me feel like something fantastical was about to happen at an given moment.. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.. 😂😂
Ha ha! I thought Freya deserved dramatic music.
That's what I was thinking! A finale is coming!!😂😂😂
Awesome! ♥️
Luckily, I have a housemate that can help me with measures and fitting (since I don't have a dress form, or even a sewing machine!). However, if you are planning to pad out an existing dress form, I did run across this great video on padding a dress form, from RedThreaded: th-cam.com/video/TSynFz6-ZFM/w-d-xo.html
I think she does a really good job of explaining the process, if you just need to pad out specifically, and not create a new form!
Great job!!! Don’t be shy 🙈, this helps us fit our size! Empowerment for the plusss+++!!!!!!!! You go girl! Do your thing!!!! Welcome Freya 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you! ♥️
I have my pattern but I've been nervous about putting it together. This helps so much! And I think you look lovely.
You can do it!
Great video, your new dress form looks great.
She reminds me of old ancient female statues of gods. They were probably all plus size back then
Thank you beautiful! I really do understand what you mean about it being personal. I admire you and you have helped me. Hugs xx
I'm so glad!
What a great job you did! Your step by step really helped me understand the process, which I was unclear on before. Thank you so much! ❤
Freya is stunning! I am still afraid to start my own dress form. Bought the pattern, the fabric and all. Just haven't started yet.
I waited a long time to start mine too. You can do it!
You can do it!
@@PocketFullofPoseys I know! Just too busy with work. Boohoo!
#justdothething from Costuming Drama is all I hear. You can do it. Each step forward is a learning experience. I believe in you.
Go for it!
I love this! I've been thinking of making one of these dress forms myself. Also...just think, you can hug yourself if your having a bad day! :)
Totally!
I'm so glad you shared your dress form making. I'm around your shape/size and it's so difficult to find videos of people who feel like they are also my size making things that I want to make. Thank you.
You're welcome! I'm glad you found it useful!
Best of luck with your form! ♥️
Yep. A custom dress form is very much an exercise in self love for sure. ❤ looks great!
Patterns don’t fit me so I would love to make a dress form so that i can drape garments thanks for sharing 💕
You're welcome! ♥️
i am plus size also and really thankful that you are putting yourself out there for us.
Members of the no butt club unite!
Thank you for talking about the body insecurity stuff
🙂 You're welcome!
Much love.
Thank you so much! I'm very happy with how she turned out. Good luck to you when you make yours!
That's the most beautiful dress-form I've ever seen. If you don't use her for draping, you could use her as a lovely display.
Thank you!
I REALLY appreciate you putting this out there and letting yourself be vulnerable. You are beautiful and should be so proud that you are strong enough in yourself to do that.
Thank you so much!
Thank you for watching and for your lovely comment! ♥️
Freya is absolutely beautifully gloriously gorgeous. Just like you!
Thank you for being *brave* and putting this out there. Most of us have body insecurities, it’s pretty universal. Gratitude for all the hard work you put into this video.
Thank you so much! ♥️
What a courageous girl you are. I would never put myself out there as you've just done. Freja is lovely with pink flowers.
I've finally found a gardener in my zone and latitude, and now I've found a seamstress much closer to my size.
Thank You so much for these videos. Only found you a few weeks ago. Take care. Virginia in Ohio
Thank you and welcome! ♥️
What a relief to have a plus size costumer to follow. I have been wishing for this. I watch Angela Clayton, Rachel Maksy and Micarah. After awhile it gets depressing-there is no “snatched waist” at my house.😊
Welcome! I'm so happy you're here!
Smaller dress form support!? GENIUS!!! Love the frabric. A heartfelt welcome to Freya
Thank you! I'm very happy it worked out!
Thanks for the uplifting little message about body image. As an older plus sized person I have struggled with my insecurities about myself.
You're welcome! ♥️
Thank you so much for this wonderful comment! You made my night! ♥️
@@PocketFullofPoseys Are you kidding... You made mine 💖
Thank you.. as a plus size woman, I am looking to make my own form & love seeing yours. Beautiful! Thank you for showing your process!
I love it, giving plenty of ideas for a dress form. Very nice to see real size women thank you so much.
You're welcome!
Thank you for making this video. I,too, am plus size and I understand your hesitation on “putting yourself out there”. All I can say is bravo, it took strength to do it and I think you are amazing.
Thank you so much! ♥️
Thank you!
Such a precious find! Thanks TH-cam algorithm for showing me this lovely lady! Such a pleasure to watch. I especially love the miss matched zippers ;)
Welcome! Thank you!
Love the dramatic music choice and the appearance of tiny kitty feet by the sewing machine. XD This still seems like a very intimidating project for a beginner but it's nice to know this will work for a plus size mannequin as well. Thank you for making this video!
I'm glad you liked the music! You're welcome!
Thank you.
Thank you so much! Welcome!
😂 Wow, chicken wire!
Welcome! You can do it! 🙂
Thank you. It's amazing. You’re helping a lot of people to help themselves accept themselves. ❤
It’s fantastic to see how a fellow plus sizer have the courage to post something like this. I want to start a YT channel also, but I don’t have that kind of courage to even show my face on camera. There should be more people like you. Have a nice day, greetings from the Netherlands.
Thank you so much! You could do it too. ♥️
Using the smaller dress form was genius. I would also make a Velcro attachable stuffed arm for doing sleeves and painted the knob to match and screwed it back on. Great job on your new dress Thanks for the video. 🥰👍❤️
Thank you! Great idea for the arm!
Thank you so much for talking about your feelings of vulnerability and unease. I was thinking about making one of these and wondered how I would feel to see "me" like that given my weight and size. Thank you for bringing your voice to this conversation!
You're welcome! I think it's an important conversation to have. ♥️
I am so proud of you and inspired by you putting your vulnerable self out there!!! I'm a generation older than you and I never cease to be amazed by the self confidence of younger generations! You teach me to be a little more comfortable in my own skin!!!
Thank you! I'm so happy to be helpful!
Using the small dress form ,and stuffing around it is genius. I subscribed straightaway
Thank you so much for doing this and being brave and putting yourself out here like this! I am a CHONK and both really want a dress form and have been afraid to try to make one. You have given me the courage to try!
Brilliant idea to stuff around the dress form. It would have a solid center too
Broom Hilda🤣🤣🤣🤣 I L❤️VE you choosing a pretty fabric!! Thank you for the website to bootstrap and the wonderful tutorial!
You are so welcome!
That was pretty fantastic! Luckily none of us (or very very few) are ever the correct size for ready made patterns. We’re taller, shorter, curvier, thinner, boney and fluffier and Deliciously Different. The dress form you created is a brilliant idea, thank you. You are such a ray of sunshine.
Thank you so much!
That was genius stuffing around your existing dress form. Great job!
You are my kind of lady!! Using what you have and effective problem solving. Thanks for the great video!
Thank you!
