Except earlier this year I thought I could make a highly decorated 1570s gown entirely by hand in 4.5 weeks and have time to make a doublet as well before giving a lecture on how Queen Elizabeth used fashion as an expression of power. Well, it took me 7 weeks. At least the gown was done on time, and I'll make a doublet another year. The gown turned out fabulous, I'd say you need a rest after all that!

That is a magnificent dress and I can truly appreciate just how much work went into the embroidery, since I recently finished my own night sky project - a navy blue velvet cloak with all of the almost 90 IAU recognized constellations marked out with star sequins and silver beads. I can't help sighing over what could have been as a result though - while you did amazing work (as usual) and Astraea looks appropriately regal in the dress, all I could really see in her video were the drops and the lines for the star chart, as all the rest of the stars blend in with the light blue, especially in ball lighting. Maybe they show better in person, it's definitely better in the thumbnail, but without the deep dark color of a night sky the rest doesn't show well enough for me to tell the theme without context.
this is an insane amount of detail. when you ddi the skirt in those layers i was so impressed, and then you busted out the projector to baste in starcharts like WHAT - and THEN made a hundred layers of the upper part of the dress my brain just logged off lol
