    I've noticed that when I saw and treated my hair like a living breathing entity deserving of respect and care, everything changed. Maintanance became an act of self love, exploration and became very therapeutic!
    I've spent plenty of years looking crazy, but learning, and now almost 12 years later, I have some of the healthiest hair I've ever seen, straight or curly. The only difference is I don't believe that hair only retains length when you don't touch it. I wash and condition at least once a week and it's still flourishing through my sporadic and loving grope sessions 😋
    Ladies... don't give up. You can pass this wisdom down to your spouse, you'r children and anyone you love. It's beyond challenging but WORTH IT! Wholeness extends to the gifts you're given. Your body, your hair, your mind, all that! Look at your challenges as opportunities to create heirlooms of wisdom for your tribe! God wouldn't have it any other way 😘😘😘

    Words can't describe how much I needed to hear this. I started my journey in 2016 and I enjoyed my journey- especially my big chop phase! But the more my hair grew, my mom took it upon herself to tell me how much she doesn't like my hair. It made me sad but I wasn't aware of how as the years went by, I started to diminish my love for it and ended up not giving it as much positive energy anymore. And now it's been 4 years and I wonder why it's not thick or longer because it's like it literally stopped growing in the last two years. You're right...how we love and connect to ourselves really manifests in our entire being. I need to learn how to love myself...

      Christianity was forced unto slaves all around the world who were ripped from their traditional or indegenous beliefs and made to follow the white man. Beaten, murdered, exploited and used, until generations past and they forgot their roots, or only hold onto the remnants of what was once theirs. Their power was stolen from them, caged up like animals, hair cut, treated worse than animals and made to believe this was all the wish of some holy being, some God who ordered these white angels to educate the “lesser” people of the world.
      And it worked.
      The “God” you follow is a false god a false prophet and a representation of the past that was stolen from you. It always makes me sad when I see black people still follow him so deeply. That god is not your own:(

    • @jaytenne6781
      @jaytenne6781 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      MeJustAimy Christianity originally began in the Middle East so it’s not like the people who tried to force Christianity on slaves were the ones who created it. The mission of white slave owners were to take the Bible and twist the words within it to make it seem like God wasn’t on their side. God says to treat everyone with kindness and God is against the slavery and dark history that took place during that time.

    • @MeJustAimy
      @MeJustAimy 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      suga honey iced tea
      It started in the middle east as linked to judaism. The minute it started spreading and becoming the christianity we know today, is the christianity i’m talking about. I’m talking about the beliefs that were forced unto ALL indegeous people worldwide that were taken from their own beliefs, and forced to take christianity as their own or else be killed. No matter the origin of the religion, what it later became is so far removed from its origins that the origins dont at all count.

    • @jaytenne6781
      @jaytenne6781 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      MeJustAimy I understand that, however the same thing can be said for other religions as well. God of the Bible speaks against forcing the Christian belief on others. It’s all about genuine love, God doesn’t want forced love that’s why He gave us free will. People will push there beliefs on others, however the Bible doesn’t condone that. So to say everything in the Bible is false and that the God in the Bible is a false God solely based on a group that twisted the words of it and manipulated other people is not true. I believe in the Bible based off the word and historical documents and things that have been revealed throughout the Middle East. Not because the white man told my ancestors to.

      You know I was just watching a video where this lady was talking about trimming. I was about to comment but then she stated that she does it every 6 months. I still was going to comment because her rational was the 'hair splits". If your ends are healthy and not split then there is no reason to trim them. I may trim once year if needed. I have not trimmed my hair in about 2 years because I have not needed to do so. I remember many YEARS ago when I had a perm a hair stylist said "You MUST trim your hair every 6 weeks" I asked her "How are you supposed to actually see any hair growth if you cut it off every month?" She looked at me like I was speaking greek...and "It will grow and it will be healthy" at that point I realized she had rocks for brains...

    This video presented a prospective that took me several years to reach. I’m on my second journey of natural hair. 1st journey was for 6 years and my hair grew lengthy and very dense. I complained often about the time and effort to care and style for my hair. I eventually convenienced myself to relax it because I was tired of the natural hair commitment. The relaxed hair was beautiful initially. It was so gorgeous that I didn’t want to weight it down with product. Long story short it thinned out. I’ve never had such unhealthy hair in my life. I’m 10 months into my new journey (cut the perm off) and God has blessed me with another head full of healthy dense hair. I appreciate it and relish the time I spend caring for my hair and I do not take it for granted anymore. TLC and patience is key to healthy thriving strands 😊. Thanks for making this video.

      Though I don’t agree with how you’ve expressed yourself I agree with what you’re trying to say.

    I truly believe and reside with what you said about our hair being antennas to the divine. When my hair was relaxed, I used to dream like once a week. Now that it’s natural, I dream everyday, and even more when it twist out rather than braids(not being stressed or pulled, but hydrated and healthy) I have 4-7 dreams a night, and I think it’s the most beautiful thing.
    I love your outlook on hair& spirituality

    I’m shaking my head and in agreement with everything you have spoken.. Learn and love about your hair is not hard.. why do we depends on someone telling us about our hair. I hear it all the time I can’t sit for hour or mines can’t get that way.. it so sad I’ve been doing my hair since I was 10 yrs and I’m embracing all my strains grey and all😄

    The spiritual feedback you give in regards to hair I for sure resonate with that. I am a firm believer in what you believe and what type of energy you put towards it determines how it will flourish. I have recently started taking several vitamins in promoting the growth of my hair, wrapping it consistently, and even listening to binary meditative music at night (to promote growth) and I have noticed a difference in my hair in a short amount of time. I have already seen growth and I feel it's not just my new, continuous routine but the fact that I BELIEVE it will work for my hair. Btw your hair is amazing and I KNOW I will see lengths and beauty like this with mine soon because I believe. :)) 😍🥰💖

    Your hair is so beautiful and I'm loving your energy. Finally someone else that does not trim their ends. Before I started my natural hair journey, I was relaxing my hair myself and never trimmed my hair. Got into a debate with my cousin she was trying to tell me that hair doesn't grow if you don't trim it. I kept saying it still does, that my hair had not been cut in three years and there were no split ends. I believe they condition people to believe that you have to get trims or your hair will be messed up. I transitioned two years ago and it has been one of the best things I've done. My goal right now is to grow it to waist length.

    This is a BEAUTIFUL video. I love your videos, they really help us understand our hair more and more and to cherish our hair more and more. I thought you would mention about how you get your roots detangled. I still need a bit of advice for that because I really do want to stop using tools...I’m close but I generally need my wide toothed comb for my roots. Thank you for this inspiring video...as usual.😁

    I really appreciate this perspective on hair health. Usually these videos contain more information on products and routine, but a concentration on energy and the frequency that we’re putting out having an effect on our hair is beautiful. You can trim and wash and steam and still not see results. This is eye opening. Thank you!

My rationale was just "I don't want my hair exposed to those ppl w their creepy fascination + ignorant line of questioning." Protecting my energy sounds a lot nicer, thank you☺

    Thank you so much for doing this video. I started chemo therapy yesterday and have shoulder length locs. I have been thinking past the negatives of the side effects and what’s going to happen to my hair and body and looking at all the positives ESPECIALLY after treatment! I’m literally going to be a new creation! It’s highly likely my hair is going to fall out in a couple of weeks and I’m cool with that because of where my mind is at. I’ve decided not to grow back my locs and to keep it out. I thought if I do exactly the same regimen I do with my locs when it starts growing back apart from retouching the roots then it will grow the same way and length. Then I saw your video! And you said the exact same thing! THANKYOU!!! This journey is hard but I’m embracing it! I love 💖 my hair and I’m going to be 🥰 loving my bald head. Massaging it, oiling it, praying over it and welcoming each new strand because it’s SO true God knows every one of them! Love and blessings to you and your family 💖🥰😘

    I’m feeling blown away by the way you described your hair and it’s connection to the universe. I’ve working on my kundalini and so that really resonated with me. The timing honestly adds up for me. I had an awakening 27 months ago and have had a strong desire to grow my hair out to my tailbone for 18 of those months. I’ve gone from shoulder to mid back in 18 months and I feel such a love for my hair. I feel the most feminine than I have ever. I’ve had long hair before but I would highlight or bleach it. To me, bleached hair has that dead energy of processed food. Long healthy hair feels high vibe. Just me?

Now I still have a ways to go but God is so good hair is growing in, Glory

    Love this video and your channel, lots of wisdom. Where I am in my journey... Currently taking out my box braids (that I've had for too long 😬), I've been wearing protective braid/sew in styles ever since I was a young child (never permed but have used those relaxer boxes when I was young.) BUT the difference this time is I want to keep my natural hair out, which I've never done for more than a couple days between braids. I've been doing so much research, and I'm nervous, but I'm so ready. Stretched out my hair is about collarbone 4c/4b not sure, and I think low porosity. About to have my first "wash day" today!! Always just used any shampoo & conditioner my mom bought but never DC 😁😁 Im excited to see what my hair can truly do
