“If I’m going to create a monstrosity, I’m at least going to create a fully finished monstrosity” is my new quote to get myself to finish projects, thank you so much for it 😂❤
I feel like I want that embroidered on a pillow. Or done in calligraphy, and framed.

I was grinning from ear to ear throughout this entire video. The artistry and love put into this is beyond words! Incredible work as always!
Your little car is the unsung hero of this episode as the heavy machinery used to transport all the materials 😄
Great video, as always!
@@lidial1042 people always smile when they see me fitting construction materials in it like I’m playing Tetris
I won't tell your car that it isn't really a pickup.
A little clown car for the little circus tent. I was quite amazed at how much you kept pulling out of the back lol!
we all stop whatever we are doing when Siloe drops a new video!
Literally
@@codeN_8 RIGHT!! I'm laughing but this morning I saw this and reacted when it had been up for just 3 minutes!! And grateful he posts. I don't care how rarely -- just please do one at least once a year!!
True!
He's a genius! Such out of the box thinking!
SOO TRUE!
Decay vs decay in the hands of an artist. Wow. Just. Wow. So refreshing to watch you take a dilapidated building that most people would just tear down and instead turn it into a piece of garden art. I'm having a hard time finding the right words right now. Wow.
I'm going to relish my excitement for just a sec before I even watch your new creation. Siloe, you make the best Ytube videos. The quality of your work is off the charts. Your gardens are exactly what I wished for at one point in my life. Everything. Thank-you.
I hope you have a great Sunday! Let me know what you think of this at the end of the video!
He is the master, no doubt!!!💚💚
Rewatching this after seeing it on my big screen. Though your videos are few and far between.... They are still one of the best on TH-cam. You're artistry truly shows in your work.
Hey, Siloe! Yours are my favorite videos. I love your imaginative creativity and artistic intuition. Thank you for these lovely and entertaining creations. I think their scarcity increases public appreciation of them. Happy Sunday! I hope you enjoy a great upcoming week. John
You are an Artist!👌💪🫶...🩵 & Soul!🙏
Sitting in stunned silence. BRAVO!!!
This made me smile. Thank you. I hope it inspired you.
@@suburbanhomestead You have inspired me ❤
Your videos are pure jewels. You mix some of my favorite subjects (art, garden, diy, reusability) and its refreshing and inspiring at the same time! Thank you for crafting such beautiful videos
This goes to show why we need to nurture imagination, creativity and resourcefulness. Your beautiful creations and artfully edited videos are a Masterclass in how to turn dilapidated features into items of whimsy and beauty. Transforming what would be a drab environment into an uplifting place of humanity and joy. What a blessed gift to get to share in your ever-playful and humorous journey of artistry! Merci ❤❤❤
I started a TH-cam channel a few months ago. My videos are simple, but the forethought, shooting and editing that's required is a marathon. I can't begin to imagine how long it takes you to make a video of this quality, with all of your camera set-ups to think about as well as doing your actual craft, not to mention your fab post-production animations et al. You are clearly an exceptionally patient and determined man, as well as an artistic powerhouse! I love your channel; it's one of my absolute favourites along with Foureyes the woodworker and Simone Giertz the quirky inventor. 😍😍😍
You're an inspiration, Siloe. Your shabby chic designs are so creative. Your God-given talents are beyond unique. Your gift for turning nothing into a palace is exceptional. Thank you for sharing them with us peons!
Thank you my friend. I think we all can benefit from exercising creativity more!
You are an inspiration around the world!!!
You made my day! I know the world is a big place, so if I only inspire your world that is a win for me.
I'm so glad to see your focus on top quality is paying off! Your work has always been astounding but now it's truly better than anything else out there. Your channel has grown so much lately and I'm super happy for you. I've been out of the loop for the last couple years but I really wanna get back to it this season. I've been quiet but I'm still watching with my jaw on the floor every time. Keep keepin' on, sir!
Thanks for writing Greg. I do miss your videos. Indeed focusing on quality has been a better strategy for me, although it does up the stakes for each video and sometimes I just want to do a low expectation video like the old times.
@@suburbanhomestead I still go back to some of your initial vet and seed starting videos, etc. And enjoy rewatching some of your classics. ❤
Veg not vet😂
I get so inspired watching you take damaged wood and other junk that most of us would throw away and make such beautiful art and architecture. I've learned quite a bit from you that i hope to incorporate into my forever home one day.
The result and editing are just both breathtaking! Really loved how u embraced the shabbiness in the design yet still make it look elegant
I was mesmerized and filled with child-like awe the whole time. Thank you for taking us on this transformative journey, it’s indeed watching an artist create a masterpiece and hearing the thoughts that form behind the creation. I’m left with such a state of calm and happiness that you exist and want to see more of your visual storytelling. I actually would love to see how you’ve decorated your home inside. Maybe you could even take us with you when shopping for items as I’m sure I’d learn about the history and details of vintage and antique items.
Oh my goodness! Siloe, your artistic vision, creativity and construction ability are truly inspirational. EVERYTHING about this project, and the filming and narration of it, is absolutely delightful. I love it so much. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for giving me a glimpse into your wonderful creative mind, and garden.
Thank you so much for the support
Your creative and patient soul is beautiful. I feel you are from a fairyland of some sorts. Thank you!
This is crazy. And I loved it.
Thank you. It certainly is not a run of the mill shed.
I watched all the ads to make sure you are compensated for your high-quality, engrossing, delightful videos. I am always inspired by your work. Part of my soul lives in your garden. Thank you.
Your vision and skill are exactly what I like to spend 30 minutes fanaticizing I have even a sliver of!
This is so creative. Beauty and usefulness from waste materials. Your design esthetic is wonderful!
It's a good morning when this man ppsts a video!
The tool shed awaits!
I hope you enjoy the video.
Wow! Now THAT'S a shed what am a shed! Love the repair/reuse/recycle ethos and scrappy fine art approach. Eclectic, Interesting, Enlightening. Simply Brilliant and Shining!
Love how theatrical it is Siloe! So much whimsy when you do off-the-cuff design.
I couldn't help myself this time.
Yes thank you for taking the time to create beauty !! It’s so refreshing to the spirit! I can’t stand the modernist square cult of oppressive architecture we are living in 😭 every time I see another grey square building I feel like humanity dies a bit more. Thank you for keeping art in architecture alive! Also love all the research and references you include SO fun and fascinating. Can’t wait for the interior. ❤
Therapeutic and whimsical💚 Transforming a pile of rotten wood into such a stunning shed is absolutely brilliant! Using salvaged and recycled materials to create something both functional and full of charm is so inspiring. It really proves you don’t need a big budget-just creativity, resourcefulness, and vision. The shed perfectly captures the cottage garden vibe, and I can’t wait to see how you style the inside!
There’s only one word for it: Beautiful.
I bough humbly before your creative genius! Talk about turning a sows ear into a purse!
Well done! :)
Thank you! I loved that proverb.
Respectfully, a " bough" is a tree limb. The word you want is " bow". 😊
@@sandyjuntunen4088
Thank you! :)
@@sandyjuntunen4088Respectfully, I delight in the daydream of a tree limb paying homage to Siloé (suburban homestead guy), and the person who wrote that comment is named thornhedge after all, soo.
Being a theatre person, this is so very appealing to me. I see it as a a background for the drama of the garden. Just beautiful as always!
Whoa . . . ...... This / you / your video ---- all of it is stunning !!! Plus , you're the first person I've ever " met " , in my 66 yrs , who works and thinks very similarly to me ! It was lonely before finding someone who builds and creates so similarily ---- so this made my day . Your video's animated additions are witty , brilliant and educational as well ! So talented ! I have basically built my " Tiny Mansion " from materials gleaned from alleys and dumps .... and am inspired to see someone else using lumber most folks would discard instantly . Thanks for existing ;-)))
Fantastic! Love how you reused all that scrap into a unique & beautiful vision ! ❤
Wow, you have outdone yourself once again! I am always so impressed by your projects and I love that you “show your work” by including examples of all of the art and architecture that inspires you! You really are an inspiration!
Ok, I’m OBSESSED with this as I am with all the other projects on this channel, especially the garden (a way to my heart). The workmanship is outstanding and the creativity is extremely impressive (I’ll be picking up my jaw from the floor all week). It’s always a treat when there’s a new video on this channel and it makes my brain produce massive amounts of dopamine (I wish we could be best friends IRL). As my tween says: you ate and left no crumbs. I love it here 🎉💕🏡
This heals my heart for some reason ❤❤❤
I usually visit your channel from time to time to catch a peek of your gardening adventures. Your videos are always a visual pleasure - they offer a cozy nook from which to be inspired.
This video intrigued the little woods/craftsman living in my heart.
I don't have the skill set to fully set him free as yet but. I am eager to learn.
My heart is filled with creative ideas and designs that hopefully one day, in this life or in the world to come, I will be empowered to share my dream plans with others and make them happy as this your video has made me happy.
Thank you for sharing this creative visual delight with the world.
Watching this brings lightness to my existence! No need to buy new soulless stuff but bring life to old...surprisingly old...stuff. Ahhh...It feels like Siloe brings us to fairy land.
The day started out crappy... and then this video dropped 🥳
You are such a gift to this world! Thank you for sharing yourself with us. Nothing on the internet I have seen compares. If everyone just tried to live a little like you, so many problems would be solved.
a visionary masterpiece! The medium and creative execution of the design is so unique, I'm not surprised you're pioneering in the field! This is something that deserves to be shown off, and hope it lasts some extra years with the test of weathering
This was so much fun and so inspirational to watch! And you are such a blessing in helping us see how we can create our own magical beauty things around us rather than buying the "new, dreary, sterile stuff" that is being marketed. Thank you so much!
Its so ironic that all these famous architects, that have all the resources of the world available, manage to design such lifeless and boring buildings. But then there's you, just a normal TH-camr who manages to make such beautiful and unique builds with just scrap wood and no advanced tools. Says a lot about the world we live in.
The amount of work on the shed and the editing is astounding!!!
I subscribed!!!! What an ability to create layers!!!!
Love the results! I’ve got an old summer kitchen that I’ve been wanting to convert into an art studio. A wavy, whimsical shingle treatment has been near the top of my list for how to finish the outside.
Your humor, videography, garden, and design skills are amazing, making you one of my favorite youtubers!
I was cynical when I clicked on your video.
Now I'm subscribed to your content.
This is simply awesome and the best part is, you did it all with man hours and not money. This is completely achievable by the average home DIYer
@@1974UTuber glad you took the chance. Tell me if I’m wrong but it seems that TH-cam is so replete with clickbait that it becomes hard for anyone who has a video with serious work behind it… Anyways, indeed this is achievable to anyone, and even someone in a very tight budget that has access to a few simple tools if they save enough discarded salvaged materials.
YAY! WE GET TO SEE THE SHED!!!!!
Hope you like how it turns out. But wait, there is more…
Oh yeah. It’s definitely creative, but one of the best things about it is the background knowledge you used from a dozen different art forms and true skill as a carpenter. The other best thing is, you created this little whimsical masterpiece where no one will see it but you and the critters in the garden.🤗🐝❤️
Lord, this so reminded me of putting this "greenhouse" shed on the side of the house off the kitchen. When I saw you cutting up that partially rotted plywood it looked just like what I had used to make my shed. I had had to have the siding on the SE side of my house replaced, but since so much wasn't rotted, I saved these boards. I had some single pane windows replaced and saved those, too. I was beginning to see possibilities. My brother and I, along with the help of my youngest son, framed the attached walls to fit the two doors and four windows I had salvaged from different projects. We then cut pieces of the T11 siding that was solid and fitted it around the doors and windows. My brother did an excellent job of lining up the grooves in these panels. I followed behind him with a calking gun to "erase" any errors. The trim used around the windows and doors was a bit of using whatever I had laying around, so pretty much none of that matched, but since it is all painted the same, nobody can see that from a distance. But my neighbor who has a boat shed across the property line from this building who had originally been horrified at my material stack told me the place looked great after we were done. Since the walls and color matches the house, it kind of blends right in. While I must admit, your shed is prettier, the best part of mine is that I can grow tomatoes in this cool climate and have a place to save my herbs and several perennial flowers that cannot handle out winters.
Siloe this is amazing! I was so excited to see another one of your videos come up! Your artistic vision and the care and detail you put into your videos is evident. As an artist in a rut, you have inspired me to create more! Thank you for making this and sharing it with us :) You are a talented and wonderful human!
Your designs evoke dreams of ornate theatres of bygone days! One can vividly imagine the multitude of carnival characters entertaining us with their thrilling and daring performances. Bravo!
Absolutely fantastic ! Looking at it reminds me of an old time carnival ride, so nice(:
Very inspiring work! Who doesn't like a low cost, high value project with perfect instruction on how to achieve a work of art? Kudos, brother!
Oh,I just love all your scrolly bits around the top of the window. We both seem to "fly by the seat of our pants" when it comes to creativity. I never have followed all those "rules". It always turns out fine that way.
The project is beyond awesome, but the video is a true work of art. The time it must take you to imagine, create, animate, edit and finish the completed video must be incredible! I think I'm in love with you! Greetings from Milwaukee.......
what a lovely and unique shed. i hope you build yourself a greenhouse someday. i can't imagine how clever and stylish it would be.
My first thought was "Gah! Live termites!", but the rest of the process was gold. What a gorgeous little structure! Love it! You are a true artist!
This couldn't be further from my personal style, yet seeing a project that's both eclectic yet cohesive coming together with recycled materials and pure creativity was soo satisfying. This was lovely to watch. Thank you!
Astonishing, uplifting and inspiring - the mind, heart and hands of a master.
I dont see commercials as some do. But im WILLING to see commercials to support your efforts.
Warmest regards
Jennie
I am always absolutely blown away by every single one of your projects and this one is no exception! Always end the videos feeling so inspired (and maybe a little bit jealous of your beautiful shed, garden, house, etc. haha) The curtain design was amazing, I've always been obsessed with ornate carnival style visuals, so this made me so happy to see! Beautiful work~
Such a lovely and creative solution! I especially appreciate how you used the wood that was destined for the landfill. Excellent work! I look forward to your next chapter!
😊❤😊 very artistic! Style mixes are cool. It's like the 3 blind men feeling different parts of the elephant, except you're not blind and you bring the elephant to life no matter what part you go after!
I’m so happy that you posted a new video, I love your style buen trabajo keep the videos coming I didn’t wanted this video to end, that’s how great your videos are. Gracias
Thank you so much! I bought a generic shed, and a crew of Amish men assembled it in three hours. It was fascinating to watch such a tightly synchronized build. Now, it's neutral taupe with a "weathered wood " asphalt shingled roof. It needs some colorful touches, which I will do this year. This video is FULL of good inspiration.
Wow, what a stunning transformation! The colors and details are so beautifully done-it’s inspiring how much personality and creativity you’ve brought to such a simple structure. Truly a masterpiece! 🌸🎨✨I always look forward to seeing your latest videos!
I want to see a whole neighborhood done like this, it’s that cool!
You are sooooo creative and artistic. Shoulda known you wouldn’t settle for an average garden shed. It’s beautiful… bravo!
27:04 Thank you for sharing the reality of life leaving a project behind and having to come back and complete intentionally
I adore your new shed!!! I love how colorful and unique it is. I completely agree that modern day tools should have made our buildings even more beautiful. I miss the old attention to detail that carpenters and workers gave. I can't wait to see more of your art. :)
your videos are always such a joy to watch! Low stakes projects like these are amazing in removing any inhibitions and hang-ups that a "proper" project would come with. i'm really impressed by the end result, it's such a perfect celebration of creativity and experimentation!
WOW!!!!!!!!!!! Great design and colors, love it
I salute you. How marvelous and creative you are. From your new follower. Bravo.
I'm in awe of your visual library in architecture you use to share your inspiration for each element of your shed's shed. Bravo
I understand this is primarily a garden channel, but I found you via the last shed transformation. These, and the house decor vids you've done, are my favourites!
Art-main theme I have gathered is art of living a beautiful life in thoughtful and joyful relation to self and world.
Excellent. I really enjoy you re creating your sheds. So shabby sheek. You still have to deal with the side door into your Victrian shed. Looking forward to that. WELL DONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I admire the way you flex your imagination. Your shed is wonderful. A true fantasy garden. Thank you.
I could listen to you and Keith Morrison read the phone book for hours.
Love your project, I have no words! What a craftsman you are!
Keep doing you❤
I never knew a shed could look so beautiful, wow just a beautiful creative design and the most original I've ever seen.
Listening to the comments, seeing sketches incorporated into the video and how you cut the pieces made things much simpler to understand. It's a very inspiring thing and I encourage everyone who has a renovation project to watch the video before starting.
Wonderful as always!!💚💚
Omg your remind me of my dad! He would take any piece of scrap and create a door or a shelf he needed. He was so creative, just like you. This "shed" is a work of art! The curtain is pure perfection! Tfs❤❤❤
Absolutely........FABULOUS!!!!!! Thanks for sharing Siloe!!!
The world needs more decorative opera curtain styled siding shingles.❤brilliant work as always
I can't even begin to express how amazed and inspired I am by your creativity. Thank you so much for sharing it with us 🖤⚘️
Not only the shed, but the video itself is a work of art! You are so unbelievably talented!
Absolutely Fantastic, an Artistic Masterpiece made out of scraps of wood and rotten plywood , I as a Carpenter would throw away, " Fantastico "
Just found you with this video. Instant follow. My partner is going to be mad when I show her this video as an excuse for hoarding all of these wood scraps.
The designs are whimsical and beautiful in the best way possible 💛
It's so over the top I love it. There needs to be more designers like you.
I love your creativity. I use to have an abundance of it when I was younger but not so much anymore. I enjoy watching you create .
I’m so pleased you’re back with your historically inspired design and gardening. I enjoyed these few new videos.
You are a multi talented individual and it's a pleasure to learn from you. This video came at a perfect time as I am currently working on my shed upgrades. Thanks for the year round inspiration!
This is SO MUCH FUN! Love that you draw inspiration from my favorite city in the world, Venezia ❤❤❤
Amazing piece from a Master Artist. Using your imagination, and the past. 🎨
what's so spectacular is that you can build something so beautiful all from heavily used materials!
I love seeing how the finished product of my mind would look. You are so much braver than I've ever been! A total delight to watch! Thank you ❤
Aww love ❤ ❤ believing too much in the potential of the downtrodden is not easy but worth it… your little optimism and empathy for the structure worked out so beautifully. 💕
