Botswana - Namibia Road Trip 2024| Part 2| Kubu Island - Nata - Chobe National Park

Join us for part 2 of our 4 part travel series through Botswana and Namibia. You join us as we pack up at Khama Rhino Sanctuary and head up north towards the Makgadikgadi Pans where we will be spending a few nights at Kubu Island on the Sua Pan. After 2 magical nights we head further north and cross the pans as we head towards Nata Lodge, just outside of Nata. Then we drive up further north towards Kasane where we will stay for 3 nights at Thebe River Safari Lodge and explore the wonders of the Chobe River and the Chobe National Park.

We remember visiting Kubu island in the early 70's. Nobody knew that place then, recovery gear was one spares wheel, spade, no gps, no cellphone, one cooler box, fan belt 6 x jerry cans...what a blast. All camping was free then. Navigation was with map and compass.
