    Loving the maps. Great episode once again guys. Awesome to see wild dogs, they are under severe habitat pressure.

    If an off road vehicle doesn't have pin stripes, you've not been properly off road. Stunning views & beautiful sunsets/sunrises. Thanks for another fantastic video.

    The Caprivi strip, Katima Mulilo, Rundu area is a beautifull part of Namibia. I love the absolute silence at night, you only hear jackal and a specific owl, and yes sunrise and sunsets are stunning. Thanks for this one guys keep well.

    Glad you took the time to go there. Each country has parks that are really meant for overlanders such as yourself, and this is Namibia's top one.

    The scratches.... I used to be in a 70s rock band called Atomic Rooster.. devils answer was the biggest hit single... I particularly like the line in the song.. 🎶 come back tomorrow show the scars on your face. Its a clue to the answer we all chase

    Howdy Landies! Wow what a drive! And that is why more people don’t go there! I have heard about the sand and the featureless terrain so unless you are hunting the camera folks don’t go…plenty of game though as you saw! Thanks for sharing!

      @@TheLandyExpedition Thanks guys! Have wondered at the deep sand and our heavy camper, but somehow I don't think we are heavier than your 110. Still have to watch when the mistress comes home!

    The intake manifold will never get hot enough to cook anything. Try the outlet side. Cooked things that way in Botswana.

    Hi, loved the video and am planning on doing a similar trip soon. Is the Landrover your personal vehicle or did you rent it? If it is a rental would it be possible for you to disclose the cost to rent it? Thank you!

    3rd low is roughtly the same as 1st high (0.18:1 different, 8.34:1, 1st high & 8.16:1, 3rd low) better to be in low box on sand and if getting to limiter, you're really in the wrong gear as lost all torque of the engine so just wasting fuel and actually loosing potential momentum.

    • @TheLandyExpedition
      @TheLandyExpedition  ปีที่แล้ว

      Very good point. Limiter never good, learning on the job 😀

    What tyre pressure did you run in the sand please and what pressure would you normally run at?

    • @TheLandyExpedition
      @TheLandyExpedition  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think I would drop down to a bar in sand but you can go lower if you get stuck. Then generally I’ll run at 2.7 ish… really depends a lot as the roads vary

    • @chillipaste2183
      @chillipaste2183 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      About 1 bar is ok fir Khaudum. 0.8 bar if you're in the dunes. But for everything else I am always on 1.8 bar! Tar roads included. Going above 2.5 bar is looking for trouble! Been living here for 54 years....

  • @neilfourie1676

    • @TheLandyExpedition
      @TheLandyExpedition  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s a really tough question. I think we might do a video on this.. we are fortunate enough to still be getting some income from Chloe’s work but it’s a really good question. How much are you comfortable going away with. So like I say I think we might do a vid on this and explain our finances etc.
