I am a Swedish national and went pass Saudi immigration without any hassle. On the other side, I saw hundreds of Pakistani, Bangali etc who were waiting in line. It made me sad to witness such discrimination and I did NOT enjoy the privilege being an EU national.

But I am so thankful to my parents and Alhumdulillah I feel so lucky because before and during my birth, for a couple of years my parents were living in USA before coming back to Pakistan. I was 1.5 years at the time. And now after graduating I am renewing my American passport.

I went through the same experience. I was traveling back to Germany from Pakistan and intentionally took a 36-hour layover to visit my friend and explore Doha city and its lavish airport. Although I have a friend there who was willing to accommodate me, I still had to book a hotel through Discover Qatar. I ended up waiting in line for nearly two hours, and when I finally reached the counter, they told me to first get my visa validated at counter number "20" as you mentioned. So, I had to wait in line again for another two hours. By that point, all my energy and excitement had drained. I looked around at people from other nationalities, and they were passing through the airport in no time. It was so frustrating to see how easy it was for them, while I had to go through all these extra steps..

A few months ago, I was going to Germany on a student visa from Saudi Arabia and when I handed my passport to the people at Riyadh airport, the girl looked at me, then my passport, then the visa on the passport, and then asked me, "Frankfurt?" I said yes that's where I am going. She called her manager and the manager took my passport while I was waiting in line. He went to the back of the counter and pulled out a magnifying glass and checked every corner of the visa paper, then made some calls to God knows who. They kept me waiting for a good 10-15 minutes before finally believing that yes, it is a legit visa. But before letting me go, they still took a picture of my passport because even after all that scrutiny, they still couldn't trust that my visa was legit. :D
Traveling pretty much anywhere on a Pakistani passport is a nightmare. What do we expect from other airports when even the staff at our own airports don't treat us with respect?

The same thing happened to me while traveling to Africa. First, the narcotics officers stopped me over my multivitamins, arguing that I couldn’t carry them since a 15-day supply is allowed, while I was carrying a three-month supply. I explained that I was going on a work visa, so I needed a three-month supply, but they weren’t convinced. Then the FIA stopped me, and despite having all my documents, they kept me waiting, hinting that some money would solve the problem. They mentioned that a certain officer was coming to check things, and meanwhile, everyone kept asking about my flight time to drag out the process as much as possible and humiliate me. It feels like everyone is corrupt, as if no one cares about doing the right thing.

More money brings more problems. If you say this to someone in Pakistan who stands in line at 7:00 a.m. outside a NADRA office just to avoid a longer wait, they'd probably laugh. That’s life - no matter how big or small the problem, you just have to face it and stay calm. When I first came back to Pakistan, I hated dealing with all of this, but now I’m used to it.

@Hamzakilife2004 I’m sure even someone like Ambani has his own issues and problems. As human beings, we often find ourselves unsatisfied and prone to complaining.
Whether you’re a respected scholar who preaches patience yet complains when held accountable for carrying 1000kg of luggage, or a billionaire socialite with her own issues who causes death of two human beings while driving under the influence - everyone faces their own struggles.
To each person, their problems feel significant, and it seems we’re rarely content.

Thanks, Junaid Akram brother, for sharing your experience. Unfortunately, this situation arises because some Pakistanis engage in actions that cause immigration and customs in other countries to look at us with suspicion. Working at Hamad International Airport, I see firsthand what some Pakistanis bring into Qatar, and it’s disheartening. I won’t go into specifics in public, but these actions affect how we’re treated abroad.
I’m also glad to hear you didn’t have to go through a full-body scan, as I know that’s often required for Pakistanis. We all need to be mindful of how our actions reflect on everyone. Thanks again for highlighting this important issue.

I can't believe how lucky I feel. I feel sad for my fellow friendswith whomt I studieh. I am 21 right now I still have to choose a field of study because none of the universities in the US are accepting my university credits because they say that Pakistan is unreliable (I was in a fast university doing cyber security). Hence I started as a freshman and have to choose my major in the Fall of 2025 if you have any recommendations please comment below. ( I can't do cyber security because none of the colleges/universities consider it as a bachelor's degree rather they consider it as an Associates degree (2 years degree) which does not have a lot of value in my Parents eyes.

I was lucky to get my Australian passport in late 20's. I can feel the frustration. I was in Europe year before last although started my trip from London where I didn't come across an immigration officer due smart gate for Australians and then train to Germany when I was flying out of Germany, officer asked me if I am living in Germany because she couldn't find stamp of arrival in Germany as all I needed was exit from UK. Imagine having a Pakistani passport in that situation.
Moral of the story is : get to any country with legal way and work on your passport whether you are young student or professional. The Pakistan needs a lot more time to turn around its image.

You came from a country which is obsessed with the rules of Allah that has the most deplorable society in the entire world where people are killed in the name of religion for blasphemy. Majority of Europeans are now strictly leaning towards irreligiosity but just look at their society and prosperity. I have a question for those who have a second passport, whether that be an EU, Canadian or a British one.
    context:
I am a 22 year old from Pakistan. I earn very handsomely for someone fresh out of university Alhamdulillah. I plan to go for studies overseas with an eventual goal of getting a second passport and change my life for better, Inshallah.
    premise:
The process to get a second passport takes more than 5 years for EU (germany) and UK, and 3-4 years for Canada, right?
    Question:
Is the wait worth it and justified? considering you have to spend such a long time just to become an avg national/citizen of that country. you must leave everything behind specially your relationships (friends and family) and possibly delay extending your family (marriage).
I dont mind the hardship of the process such as adjusting to a new environment and doing everything on your own as I had to do it for my bachelor as well (i am from a small interior city), and eventually one gets the hang of things when one is part of such an environment.
What I am concerned about is the justification of emotional cost, and long term results.
Please guide me with valid reasoning, as I think such a question is common for anyone going for similar pursuit.

Then, he proceeded to pull every Pakistani passenger from the line without any clear reason. We all had to approach this person, who thoroughly checked each of our documents. Just before the plane was ready to depart, he finally let us go. It felt like he did it intentionally, as if to show everyone how they treat Pakistanis. Strike when the iron's red. I can completely related and comprehend your frustration Juniad bhai since I have also been facing this "BEYKAR KA CHUTIYAPA" whenever I travel.

At 47, you'd regret not taking a british passport at 41. Never too late. Just go for it. Everythings online so you can still do what you do from the Uk.

Stop exaggerating things and playing RR to get views. If you had opportunity to get 2nd passport go and get.
I was 23 when I made my first international trip(to China). I had fresh passport, no airport sifarashq, no elite class background yet I completed my trip comfortably.
Me and my brothers have made more than 30 international trips to 14 different countries till now. But never faced anything like you are portraying.
The reason of such treatment at the airport is People of Pakistan not Pakistan. How many have set good examples while living abroad? But there are countless bad examples our people have made. This airport treatment is byproduct of these bad examples.
So first teach people how to be good example then criticize.
