Well my wltoys 12428 servo failed finally so I went full bore and replaced all the electronics radio esc and servo!This video shows what I have done, I used a redcat racing 2.4 radio and a twin hammers esc and some metal gear servos. Thanks for watching and please sub and like.
Help!! I ran out of battery and I used a 3S for few minutes.. I think I blew the ESC.. I need to change the ESC?? Please help!!
Hi what you are going to have to do is order a replacement esc receiver unit and take the burnt out one out and install the new one. Thanks
If a chage the ESC from hobbywing quickrun I need to chamge the receiver amd control?? If so can I pair the old remote?
@@spearapnea4708 Hi if you look at my later videos I show what I did with mine, if you get a esc you will meed a new radio and a new normal 3 wire servo and get it mounted in the buggy. Thanks
Does _anyone_ have a tutorial or guide to swapping an ESC/receiver combo out for separate modules? I'm new to the hobby and want to make sure I'm doing it right/it can be done.

Very impressive Steve! Those replacements you've made sure seem to do the job - love the way you came up with your own solutions and made it all fit - proper RC DIY - let's hope it gives other folk the confidence to have a go at modding their own rigs :-)

Dude, can you help me out, I wanna replace my esc so it can handle a 3s. Thought the stock one could but nope.
Hi you would need to replace all the electronics with normal RC type for 3s running, radio, and esc , and a servo, a quickrun 1060 esc and a cheap flysky 2.4 radio should work.

@@Turppa21 Hi you would need a new radio, ESC, and a servo I would use the redcat servo from the gen 7 or 8 its smaller and will fit better and mock it up to fit like i did with mine you can stick tape it down or use that shoe goo glue to hold it down in place.

For the same price you can get those 20kg red servos and they are great, that china servo with the purple sticker is horrible I had two burn up on the first run of each lol.
😉👍 Yep I swapped this servo out already and put a metal gear servo in that came out of a kyosho fox and it is 100 times better now.
@@ShenRC yeah those ones with the purple sticker are strong but for some reason they kept burning up on me, they would get really hot and just fry and it is the worst smell ever lol.

How you put the servo plugs on the lights
Hi I just hooked them up to a extra receiver servo type connector the plus and minus and plugged it in the receiver in a extra port.
Did you tape or solder the wires

@@or3442 Hi you can even use a JST plug also you just have to match the plus and minus the same in the plug as like the ones plugged into your receiver are now.
