To me this video was like a mini-movie. Amazing character development in a music video. She’s a high powered executive but she’s caught up in risky behavior and the Angel of Death is trying to warn her. I love her power look and her amazing performance. She performed this live on SNL with stellar vocals - that would be my vote for the next reaction.

The video is loosely based on the movie, Looking For Mister Goodbar (1977). Christopher Walken could be a guardian angel or the grim reaper. This video is a piece of art. Directed by David Fincher, who went on to direct: Seven, Fight Club, Gone Girl, etc.

That was a beautiful reaction. From what I understand, he is her guardian angel, and he keeps protecting her from the harm she might cause to herself, and preventing other men from causing her harm. At the end of the video, he is distracted reading the paper, and loses sight of her. When he finally finds her, he knows it is too late, there's nothing he can do now. She brought home a dangerous man and she is about to be killed, so he gives her "the kiss of death". And she also kinds of feels something is not right, but decides it is probably nothing.

Definitely one of Madonna’s BEST videos! I love how her music and videos trigger so many different conversations and theories! ❤ I heard a few years back in a Madonna interview that she’d turned down the role of Catwoman in Batman Returns due to other commitments. Now watching it again, I wonder if that cat and the cat food scene 🤢 was any reference as giving major Selina Kyle vibes😂 Madonna unfortunately only performed this once on Saturday Night Live… the only other time I don’t want to spoil it for you 🤐 Can’t actually wait for The Girlie Show reaction… one of my fave tours ❤❤❤
