I feel bad for Emily, her mom is setting her up for failure. I have a stepsister who was raised like that (I hated her as a child, now I pity her). She has no work ethic or discipline and expects to get everything she wants right away. Her parents have to financially support her and buy her all the things she wants because she can’t hold down a job or finish school. I hope it doesn’t turn out like this for Emily.
The uncle is a coward and enables the horrendous behavior of his wife and daughter. I would be so low contact with them and definitely not have anything to do with the daughter.
If a person is that insufferable, why on earth would you keep inviting them to things? I'm sorry to say it, but it seems they should just cut the uncle loose if he can't get a handle on his wife. And why doesn't OP just block Karen and Emily and all their flying monkeys? People in these stories are so lacking in self-respect that it gives me secondhand embarrassment.
How to create a narcissist 101.

Op, how is that "non-confrontational" attitude working out for your family's mental and emotional health?🤨
It sounded like Uncle was a good Dad to brat. I kind of hope that she realizes that it's her Mom that makes all the good things go away. I was a huge brat growing up, usually tattletelling, I eventually grew out of it. I hope the brat realizes it before it's too late.
So let me get this straight: OP’s dad chastised her for being snarky, in writing, and that ruined the child’s event. Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t this OP’s party? In June? And the brat’s birthday is late November?
Seems to me that OP was doing damage control after HER event was ruined by the brat. And, of course, when I say “ruined” I mean “made slightly less awesome. People throw that word around, they stopped believing that “ruined” means it’s unsalvageable. If your entire family died on your birthday, that would be ruined.
If Emily genuinely apologized for it try to make friends w her that could help the bad stuff. U can keep her on the right track
Why tf is the “Yeah” so weird in text to speech

Stories like this make me glad I don't have a big extended family- faaaaark that
Every daughter ever in these is either named Emily or Lily 😂
