    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    🤔 What is a Dex? 🤔
    A Dex is a platform where you can exchange two different cryptocurrency without the need for a centralised entity. They are non custodial and trustless.
    These Dexs are also built as decentralised applications or dApps. This means that in order to interact with them you will have to use a web 3.0 wallet on your browser. These include the likes of Metamask, Trust wallet, Coinbase wallet etc.
    You always remain in control of your keys. You and you alone can determine exactly what you want to do with your crypto.
    Another benefit of these decentralised exchanges is that they are anonymous. You don't have to submit any KYC..
    One more benefit of these decentralised exchanges is the opportunity to earn income yourself. You can do this by providing liquidity to their trading pools.
    1️⃣ Uniswap 1️⃣
    It it a decentralised exchange that has done away with the concept of order books entirely. It is what is termed an Automated Market Maker. When you want to trade on Uniswap, you will enter the amount that you would like to trade and Uniswap will provide a rate.
    This exchange is facilitated through the use of global liquidity pools for ERC20 assets.
    At Uniswap, you can also provide liquidity to the pools that other traders can use in order to faciliate the transactions. As a liquidity provider at Uniswap, you will get a share of those liqudity provider fees that they charge all of their traders.
    If you are supplying liquidity to a pool on uniswap then you run the risk of "impermanent" loss. This is basically a term that is used to describe the opportunity cost you could incur due to a relative change in the composition of your pooled funds.
    2️⃣ Curve Finance 2️⃣
    Curve Finance is a Decentralised Exchange that makes use of liquidity pools. However, it facilitates high liquidity with minimal slippage for stablecoins. This is possible through the use of what are termed 'Bonding curves'.
    There is Dex function on the homepage where you can quickly exchange your stablecoins and wrapped Bitcoin assets.
    Much like at Uniswap, when you supply liquidity to a pool, you are providing users with an opportunity to swap their tokens one for another. However, an interesting thing to note about doing so on Curve is that you don't have too much risk from impermenant loss
    If you head on over to the Curve Finance homepage then you will see all of the liquidity pools at the moment to which you can join.
    Curve has also just released their own Governance token (CRV). These CRV rewards are distributed to all of those that are supplying liquidity.
    3️⃣ Balancer 3️⃣
    Balancer is a dex and crypto asset management platform. It acts as an automated portfolio manager, liquidity provider, and price sensor.
    One of the main benefits of Balancer is the way that they approach that problem of impermenant loss.
    Users can deposit any asset that they desire and still earn liquidity trading fees on it. They can also adjust their allocations to suit their own individual needs.
    Balancer has their own BAL governance tokens that they have also been distributing as a reward for providing liquidity.
    Balancer also has an advanced decentralised exchange which allows you to swap these assets with minimal slippage. They use smart order routing in order to find the best pairs to execute your order through.
      LOL!!!
      It always seem like this for many people too. When I was getting too confused. I bought some Bitcoin, did research about some altcoins , bought and stake them. Few of them are $AWC(Atomic Wallet Coin), $ALGO, $XTZ.....I am staking all on Atomic Wallet and they're all bringing return.
      I haven't gone into DeFi because I need to understand. You can make do with staking on Atomic Wallet but DYOR. Visit atomicwallet.io to download wallet and see different coins you can research on but make sure to see $AWC most importantly.
      DeFi is what happens in WallStreet but bringing it to the masses. There is a learning curve, but really all these things already exist in the conventional finance world you just never heard about it because you needed to be a banker or hedge fund manager to do or know about these things
    Last minute of thoughtful warnings/ considerations made me stick to Binance Only. Thought it is centralized exchange, but being a retail investor I cant afford to lose money while these DEXs attain to reach a more stable version. Also ETH gas cost just makes certain that these DEXs are currently for big players only.
    Guy, I've only recently been investing into this crypto world, what an eye opener..!! however with your well explained videos I've managed to take onboard some of the potential gains and already have a portfolio of Cardano, XRP, Vechain, Pokadot and Kyber Network. I've just ordered a Ledge Nano X for cold storage and signed up to PI for free tokens. I've also managed to set up a Yoroi wallet for staking. All this in a matter of 2-3 weeks... but I would be stuck without your Vids and not forgetting I've signed up to the news letter. Many Thanks Dave..
    Note: Still not sure about investing in ETH 2.0 due to all the bugs as other competitors or due to my inexperience am I missing something.
      Eth is still currently the king of Smart Contracts in terms of Size, Projects and Programming. Moving to Eth v2 is just a process and don't be dettered by the issues they are ironed out in the Testnet. They are developing and finding all the issues before release, which is more than what a lot of other projects do - take Yam for example.
    Hey Guy, I've been following for a few months, I really appreciate the newsletter. I have a question regarding portfolio management, as it was something mentioned in today's newsletter but not expanded upon. Q: what tools are you using to manage your portfolio in real time, if any? Are the ratio's measured against the BTC value or the fiat value of the portfolio? Do the assets in your portfolio exist as; *complex* trading positions (*anything other than hodling the underlying asset) / pooled liquidity / staked tokens? If yes, would you consider creating a video series specifically on the subject of diversifying asset allocation whilst managing portfolio ratios.
    Thanks for reading! James
    Great that you mention the risk associated with impermanent loss, though I would've probably added just a tad more information about the graph you show and WHY the proportion of your two tokens has an influence on the value of your position.
    In addition, you mention that impermanent loss is not a risk when providing liquidity between two stable coins, which is true, but I wanted to ask: impermanent loss would still be relevant on curve when supplying liquidity for an sBTC pool right? You mentioned that this is what you were doing.
    It is not clear to me how liquidity providers earn fees. For instance, Uniswap, do you get the LP fees when you remove the liquidity or does it show up in your wallet periodically? Is there a way to check how much you have earned in LP fees without removing liquidity? Also because of impermanent loss, if the fees are bundled together with the initial deposited principal how does one even know the ROI of providing liquidity?
    Very Informative video Guy, Thanks. Which is safer Staking (for example at Aave or pooling at Balance)? Also, this question has been on my mind regarding DEXes and Defi....Even-though they are not being regulated, but what if their website gets shut down by Gov or authorities? after all it's a domain name!!
    Penny for your thought.
    • @CoinBureau
      @CoinBureau  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1
      Hi Ali. Honestly I would consider staking at Aave. This is just because balancer is quite new and they did have their Statera pool attacked a few months ago. Regarding the Dex's, they can always seize a domain on the front end but the actual trading infrastructure (smart contracts) are on a blockchain. They cannot be taken down. So they can just set up a new front end on a new domain. Eventually though, they should progress to IPFS which cannot be shut down at all.
      @@CoinBureau Thanks for the reply..it makes sense now. As to lending out coin, I was asking in general...Staking vs. Pooling....I guess staking is less complicated and safer.
      Also, I heard there is a way that we can stake our coins keeping the coin on our ledger and give away "the right of use"? Is it true?
      Hello
      Start mining Pi, the cryptocurrency will be launched this year, and once it does, you won't be able to mine anymore. You don't need graphics cards you only need your phone, which is cloud mining. It doesn't consume battery. It's on coinmarketcap in the untracked listing. On the marketplace, there are already transactions for a value of $100 approx and when you just download the app you mine at 0.25 pis/hour. Use my code as an invitation.
      Code: Chutsky
      Download the app Pi network.
      Pi is a relatively new cryptocurrency...isn’t it always better to get in early? Just push a button on the app once every 24-hours...and next thing you know you are mining Pi.
      Pi doesn’t have value, but hopefully, as more and more people join...it will be worth something. I mean, bitcoin started without value...now look at it.
    Can you define a 3.0 wallet? Name some? Ledger? I feel like ledger doesn’t cover obscure new defi tokens. Jaxx? Exodus? Any help?
    Wouldn't using coinbase as a vehicle to transfer your crypto to the DEX defeat the purpose of privacy?
    Hey don't forget about SpaceSwap. I think it is in the same row like Uniswap vs. Curve vs. Balancer
    Curve is my favorite because of the UI. But I don't even use stable coins lol, maybe I'll buy some though just to participate in the dex.
    Project serum is about to raise the bar by miles and is lunching within a week, brought to you mainly by FTX and is truly decentralized on all layers unlike some of these picks. Guy you gotta check out Serum and do a video on it, it's a DEX on steroids!
    You must add that the fees aka eth mining fees will evaporate any real profit. Not to talk of slippage and hanging transactions. My question is are there no good dexs that can handle non erc20 tokens pls do a video on that thanks
      That's a tough question. The answer comes down to loads of research and weighing pros and cons. You could also go 50/50. No telling. This is all so experimental, something will stick though.
