No, this video isn't sponsored.
Are you trying to say that the NGRAVE ZERO HARDWARE WALLET is the Old School Nokia 3310 of Crypto Hardware Wallets? Lol. The Nokia 3310s were practically INDESTRUCTIBLE back in the day. If you dropped the cell phone from a 2-Story Home, the phone would still work.
I have to disagree with your assessment of Trezor. I don’t accept their rationale for not introducing SOLANA support. It’s basically anchored to ETH and it’s pile of tokens.
The Ngrave is great for security but struggles for coin support. One that’s interesting is the Arculus wallet - precisely because it doesn’t require batteries.
Thanks Guy. Been waiting for this one.
lol just throw ur ledger away, the best-selling wallet dosen't mean it's the best wallet and there are tons of cons that ledger didn't improve and one more thing, it is expensive af
I really love these guides; Always top notch! Just commenting for the algorithm of my favorite Crypto YT-channel.
I don't know where I would be without you and your content guy. Thanks to you and your team for everything yall do.
Like gold & silver, if you don't hold it you don't own it. Secondly, Bitcoin is the only crypto currency, all others are securities.
High quality presentation as always!
Ledger LIED to their customers when they said it would be "physically impossible" for the seed phrase to leave the Secure Element chip, and then releasing a service that would "extract" the seed phrase from the chip and send it to third parties... the key thing with that situation is that Ledger lied and made it clear it cannot be trusted.
Yes, Ledger lied and fumbled the PR and compromised some of their devices ...
Also Ledger - the company has been hacked (their device has no known hacks or exploits). Yet with the "back door" added by Ledger and a lack of trust - why would anyone buy anything from them?
Security is not optional.
Goddamn man you don’t have to use it
@@morrisseysghostTrue. I just think he's pointing out that in order for a hardware wallet to be truly secure. It needs to be trustless.
@@morrisseysghostif back door options exist. Theirs risk of government theft. Like in Canada during the protests
There is no way to link an address to an identity. @@mr.brooks1508
thanks man !! I know a lot of us need this one cheers from NC
Great content as always keep up the great work
Thanks champ. It was helpful.
Excellent video, thanks!
Great info. Well researched as always
fake news son! a wise man/woman knows that 'DIY' is always the best method for doing anything! you need to stop following here-say and hype trends lol
ps, read my comment and donate :) cheers
Finally a no hype informative video that actually helps
Great information! Thanks for putting it out there.
Hope you've switched to the new QFS by making your purchase on xlm and xrp which will be the new currency as paper money will be outdated and will be of no use during the reset??
Very clear always
Thx Guy!
Great video. Many thanks
Nice video as usual Guy!
What's your opinion on Safepal?
Right on time boss. I had an issue with ledger. Customer support is deaf and dumb. Trust sounds good. Long time Guy. Appreciate!!!!!??
Thank you!!
Thank you my friend!
great info guy
Thank you for the info...BUT it was cheaper on the Ledger page instead of the CB link. I ordered the Orange one from the Ledger page and it on special for $79.99 CAD.
Thanks for your research and your work and the video! Great! 👍
Ps: love your clear speaking english 🙏🌟 Good to learn for a newbie in it 😉
Great review. The safe is the one I'll be going for but I'm perplexed it doesn't let you store inj ...yet.
Great video, could you also make a video on top best exchanges for uk customers thank you
It's important to note that EAL7+ on engrave zero is for software only, while its hardware is EAL5+. And the reason for light detection is to achieve true RNG, so it cannot be predicted
Interesting...
There is a BTC only - hardware wallet - air-gapped that looks interesting - and it has several redundant chips (or vendors) - in case - for some odd reason the chip vendors are not 100% above board. Looks interesting - it is pricy - yet its main limitation is BTC only. Could be handy, depending!
Imagine any needing someone’s physical fingerprint touch while behind a computer on the other side of the world..
It’s a no brained
Ngrave is by far the best. Private keys are stored offline, 24 word seed phrases, zero outside wireless connectivity.
Excellent content. Well-balanced and informative. Will take a close look at the Ledger and Trezor wallets.
Good info thanks 🙏
You never disappoint
Carry on brother
Lot of love from india 🇮🇳 ❤
thoughts on using desktop vs mobile? can't explain why but I'm reluctant to use my phone. prob because I do more surfing / using links etc there. or because I've left somewhere random - or completely lost - more than one phone lol
I don't trust banks with my money, and I don't trust exchanges with my cryptos. Not your keys, not your coins. 😉
I love the way you explain it.
i just bought my new trezor t , Thank you
Very Important Question. an Answer would be more than highly appreciated. Is ledger still trustworthy, even after being bought by FTX, this worries me and I haven't used the ledger device I bought a while ago.
I use Exodus, and this wallet is excellent, plus the customer service is really good.
Great info. Can you please share your analysis on Tangem wallets?
Does trust wallet require kyc for the on and off ramps? (Is a fiat offramp available? Only on ramp was mentioned). Thanks!
Has Coin Bureau done a video regarding Estate planning with Crypto in mind AND hard wallets? For example, if a biometric feature is used as part of 2FA and the original owner is dead, then will the beneficiary in a will or trust be able to open the hardware wallet or not?
If only 2% of Crypto users use hard wallets, I bet even an extremely smaller number have ever thought about how they would address passing on their Crypto after death.
Well done Guy excellent video again ❤
Thank you so much 😀
Thanks 😊
Hope you've switched to the new QFS by making your purchase on xlm and xrp which will be the new currency as paper money will be outdated and will be of no use during the reset??
Thank you Guy. Another great presentation. Much appreciated.
A hard wallet is the best place to store your crypto. In fact, after the presale of the most anticipated crypto project, ASI, I will store it there and hold it until I'm super rich.
I am from America. I am really happy to see your work to expose people like this on web and make awareness among people. I had already shared this ADRIAN NOTCH to all my foreign friends and ask them to share to others. Thank you again please keep the good work. Thank you again.
New to this, bought some crypto on wirex, so am I correct its best to move from there to a wallet, then when I want to sell can move back or to another exchange or shop around for best commission. Also moving in & out of wallets is it free & moving from exchange is also free. Thanks
Most hardware wallets are a PITA and often one can not trust the vendor ...
Looking at you,
Yes, you,
Ledger!
thanks MR G
I APPRECIATE YOU SOOOOOO MUCH!!!
I don't like Hardware Wallets. At least if they work with a Single Private Key.
I prefered using Multisig - tho i'm now switching to more versatile and universal MPC (TSS).
Heard about that... which one?
@coinBureau Guy can you do an new video detailing the top exchanges and the fees etc??
Excellent
great video.
love the tshirt, where can i get one?
Itll be great if Trezor puts the secure element chip in the Trezor T model.
nah they just release updated models...they aint silly.
And what's with Ellipal Titan, Keystone Pro, SecuX or D'Cent wallets?
I better start acting like a millionaire cus that’s definitely the goal thx for the update Nick
Crypto user could top 1B by the end of 2023 as nations continue to adopt Bitcoin buy the dip, and HODL for long term. Bitcoin always comes back.
great education vid. which hardware wallet do you think is the safest?
Firstly, there is no absolutely secure hardware wallet, as all have the potential to be hacked, with the difference lying in the time it takes to breach them. In terms of the number of chips, Keystone may be the most secure, with hackers potentially taking a dozen years or more to hack it lol.
For Bitcoin only, how does Electrum compare to the software wallets in the video?
Hey man appreciate the content. Could you answer this question I'm constantly getting asked to connect my walleyt to qfs I just don't understand, Or is it a scam? I have a ledger nano Cold storage But I'm constantly being asked to connect it.
And i'm seeing it all the time on other platforms
It’s an option, you do not have to do it. But if you want to view the items in your wallet on that plot platform, then you must connect, how else could you view it?
Thank you!
Hope you've switched to the new QFS by making your purchase on xlm and xrp which will be the new currency as paper money will be outdated and will be of no use during the reset??
What's your opinion on Coldcard devices?
Hi Guy, another great video update.
Would b great if you could update the UK the best methods of onboarding and off boarding back into GBP - with the latest legislation updates I am concerned and sure I’m not the only one - I hope u can help, all the best
Easy coinbase as very highly regulated which means fiat is easy to trade
@@WayneJohnsonZastil And Kraken as well. You can do bank transfers to Kraken, and faster payment withdrawals. Not that I ever withdraw having lost all my crypto in a boating accident.
Guy have you ever consider do a bitcoin only hardware wallet guide?
Great video as always!
Question: if you get hacked or become a victim to a phishing scam, can the perpetrator gain access to your personal computer including bank or brokerage account information? Thank you!
With a Tezor is it possible to stake your avax? I see ledger mention this on their website but Trezor do not
@coinbureau only Ledger makes Bluetooth cold wallet? Or the other two companies also have Bluetooth options? Please, let me know
Thank for recommending Trevor t safe 3'I ordered mines in November 5th still waiting for shipment
someone needs to do a montage of all the times Guy has said "this is a video you can't afford to miss"
He is kind of right about it as long as you get some valuable info out of it. 😁
I know i do.
That would be a montage that you cannot afford to miss
Would that be all of them??? 😅
Thank You Sir🎉🎉
For this Informative video.
But question is why you didn't cover SAFEPAL HARDWARE WALLET. Is it safe or not as it's cheap as compared to Ledger.???????
Can you do a review on tangem wallets
Why Tangem hard wallet wasn’t mentioned which is superior to all the wallets you covered, no seed phrases no nonsense!
There is no link to the Trezor safe 3 on your link. Is there a discount available for that one?
Hey guy, ever tried Keystone Hardware wallet?
Nice info, i appreciate your concern this will help a lot especially to the young bitcoin investors who have no or lesser knowledge on how bitcoin market works
Is there any way to invest in hardware wallet technology?
Good video
Should I have a hardware wallet just for bitcoin and another for everything else? Someone suggested this approach.
Questions can you move your assets from let's say coinbase wallet or trust wallet to the hard wallet?
Only exodus has a partnership with trezor
I have coin base never have problem last 5 years
BC Vault and Tangem are both better than anything mentioned in this video.
Hi, two questions:
- Which wallets have fingerprint scanner?
- Can I use a wallet to save other passwords?
Hmm not sure which to pick of the hardware wallets 🤔. I'm afraid to kinda travel with them since you dont know if some goverments wants to know how much you travel with crypto wise
My concern also, that is why I have been researching on tangen wallet, they are like credit cards, wish CB can make a review on wallets that are not that obvious, tangen is planning to release some wearables as well by November, sound interesting to me
@Laura-cd9df Yeah, also why I consider tangen. I believe he mentioned it in some video
That’s a non-issue, you don’t have to bring your specific device with you. All you need is your seed phrase and you can purchase a new device anywhere.
as it has been a few months since this was posted and I am actively looking to replace my BCVault are there any relevant updates to this (or is the ngrave still your strongest (with the exception of price) recommendation)?
I watch your content. It's very pleasant and entertaining. Thanks
Just wanted to make a technical correction in some of your wording that 12 word seed phrases are somehow less secure than 24 word phrases
They are not !!!
To guess a simple 12 word seed phrase, you'd have 2048^12 combinations to go through. Minus the checksum failures, you'd need 2^128 combinations. Do you know how big this number is? You'd need billions of years on modern computers to work through it.
In fact, to reverse your private key from your public key, you'd need to solve the Elliptic Curve Discreet Logarithm Problem. To solve it, you need to do 2^128 operations. The same number as guessing 12 word phrases.
So if some alien form billion years in the future has the power to crack your 12 word phrase, it might as well derive you private key from your public key.
And the moral of the fable - 12 word phrases are as secure as anything.
Simple math really. Don't waste your time and space with 24 word long texts.
Peace.
COINBASE Wallet gave me a 12-word seed phrase that I keep offline. Do you think COINBASE Wallet is safe?
New subscriber here.
am I able to store my BTC on my private key? and how do I generate public key from the private key?
lets say I can memorize the whole private address, and I want to do that instead of using any hardwallet to store
How about simply creating seed phrase and storing it offline? Isn't that also a form of cold storage?
or maybe having mobile with wallets and exchanges, only for crypto use, keeping it offline unless you want buy/sell/swap?
@@territmoderitmo9190that's a good idea, like only using WiFi on an old unused phone .
COINBASE Wallet generates a seed phrase that you keep offline.
@@Lulu-kt6gris that true??
I use the keystone pro, its very easy to use.
I just received mine and wondered why it's not on his list.
@timoteo950 probably doesn't get a kick back from people ordering from his links..
For me the keystone is the best, had it a good while now and its never failed me, its not usb so no chance of going corrupt.
It doesn't support some of the crypto I have so I use metamask with the keystone pro to sign transactions.
Couldn't be happier.
Tangem by miles. So easy to use.
Trust wallet can be turned into a cold wallet simply by going into settings and disabling the browser setting instant cold wallet
lol a cold wallet means the seed never see the internet, trust wallet show the seed on the phone also you have no display to control the transactions adress.
@@MrHero-ir9nx 🥱🥱 ladies and gentlemen I introduced to you the highly acclaimed world-renowned cold wallet expert like I said it can be a hot and cold wallet there are lots of cold wallets lots of different features if someone didn't want to spend the money they could use trust wallet as a cold wallet the two seconds it's exposed to the web is not going to matter 🫡🫡
@@MrHero-ir9nx
Is MetaMask good?
Will the ledger stax outperform the trezor model T?
Any thoughts on Ellipal cold storage
Do you recommend using a VPN when you are setting up the trezor safe 3 for the first time ?
Are there any advantages to linking my blockchain account to idme or not
Does the new trezor work on mobile phones? Because model T does not
Is arculus any good?
First time I bought the nano x, it was broken and didn’t charge correctly. The nano s plus doesn’t need a charger and is only on when connected via usb-c. Don’t go overboard on crypto products because crypto isn’t the kind of industry you need to go nuts on.
whats the best way to check if you have any malware on your device?
I was hoping for a tutorial on how to actually move my crypto from an exchange onto a hardware wallet without any risk of it vanishing into the ether…..I have tens of thousands of pounds at risk but I’m afraid of cocking things up and losing it all!
Brother there's tons of videos on TH-cam on how to do this. Just find the tutorial for whichever cold storage you have. You want detailed explanations of that. This is just a general video explaining options
Crypto Casey is a pretty good source for information on this
Yes, there is lots of videos so don’t be afraid. Our wallet is really safe maybe at first transfer just a small amount so you get familiar with how to do it. Cheers.
The most secure way to do this is to setup wallet for migration, it will create a strong bridge. Do u need assistance to set it up?
You shouldn't advertise how much money you have, Scammers are watching, ignore any personal messages offering help! CryptoDad TH-cam tutorials can be very informative.
I use Trezor and tangem. I've got an ngrave but I don't use it.
Are you happy with tangem? I travel a lot and I am thinking of that one because of the size and appearance
Tangem is my favorite hardware wallet and I own over a dozen different hardware wallets. It's very secure and easy to use.@@Laura-cd9df
@@Laura-cd9df Certainly convenient, easy to use and setup. I have 3 different wallets also.
