Are you trying to say that the NGRAVE ZERO HARDWARE WALLET is the Old School Nokia 3310 of Crypto Hardware Wallets? Lol. The Nokia 3310s were practically INDESTRUCTIBLE back in the day. If you dropped the cell phone from a 2-Story Home, the phone would still work.
I have to disagree with your assessment of Trezor. I don’t accept their rationale for not introducing SOLANA support. It’s basically anchored to ETH and it’s pile of tokens.
The Ngrave is great for security but struggles for coin support. One that’s interesting is the Arculus wallet - precisely because it doesn’t require batteries.
Beginner here 👋! How can I safely store my crypto while managing risk and still grow my investment? If I’m starting with $8K-$10K, what’s the best strategy to balance profit and security? Would a hardware wallet like Ledger or Trezor be ideal, or is self-custody better for beginners? Any advice would be awesome!
With so many wallet options, the hardest part is figuring out the balance between convenience and security. Personally, I’ve been leaning toward hardware wallets like Trezor-peace of mind is priceless when you’re holding a significant amount of crypto! What’s everyone else using for a mix of safety and quick access?
Ledger LIED to their customers when they said it would be "physically impossible" for the seed phrase to leave the Secure Element chip, and then releasing a service that would "extract" the seed phrase from the chip and send it to third parties... the key thing with that situation is that Ledger lied and made it clear it cannot be trusted.
Yes, Ledger lied and fumbled the PR and compromised some of their devices ... Also Ledger - the company has been hacked (their device has no known hacks or exploits). Yet with the "back door" added by Ledger and a lack of trust - why would anyone buy anything from them? Security is not optional.
Firstly, there is no absolutely secure hardware wallet, as all have the potential to be hacked, with the difference lying in the time it takes to breach them. In terms of the number of chips, Keystone may be the most secure, with hackers potentially taking a dozen years or more to hack it lol.
