My wife and I drove up to Candlestick from LA. I thought we were alone and crazy to drive 400 miles to see the games in person but after
meeting people at the park and then showing up at a SoCal 49'er fan club meeting we found that a BUNCH of nine'r fans lived in our area
and that we were not all that crazy because we met several people that did the same thing !
After a while we had a caravan of cars going to the games from southern California because we were not the only fans that love this team.
Stuck with them thru the good times and bad but always faithful and now I feel this group of players are on the cusp of greatness again.

I agree, 75 Seasons, 100 Seasons... 25 years later.
Feels that way for me too but on a slightly more personal level. 94 season was when I first got into football and fell in love with San Francisco. Have always been my team but as the years went on and the dynasty faded, so did my enthusiasm. I also do not live in California so the fact the local networks hardly ever show the niners doesn't help either but now with this season its like a 360. Their coming back and melding into that powerhouse team and I feel a renewed surge of excitement and joy as I did when I was 10 yrs old. Kindof like a long-term relationship that has gone stagnant and the spark has come back. The 49ers stole my heart 25 years ago and have kept it since as they shall for the rest of my days 😊

Bari Owens yup, and those two were dominate forces!! I don't people realize our defense is looking fucking nice. We have probably one of the best D lines in our division as far talent. Those guys have potential to be the best defensive line in football! Now we got Richard Sherman to take all these young guys under his wing, our coverage is going to be extremely better. We linebackers that can lay the boom and cover. Forget the offense for a minute, our defense is low key nasty!!!

Us 9ers fan have endured some rough years after our last Super Bowl ; Jeff Garica , Jim Drunkinmiller , Troy Smith and some I won't even say . We now have a coach, general manager and a defense that can take us to another Super Bowl.
Legendary Bill Walsh. Everyone laughed when he invented the west coast offense. Short slants n yards after catch. Bill came up with that. Genius. Not to mention all the great coaches before they were coaches, were all under Bill.

Bruh, watching Shanahan explain a play and the calls they use, I get why it took Matty Ice a few years to succeed in that. DAMN, that is some next level lingo. I know lots of teams use a ton of lingo, but from what I have heard, Shanahan's system is particularly complex.
