The RTX 5090 Is Wild - Nvidia Blackwell Leaked Specs
More information on Nvidia's RTX 50 Blackwell GPUs was just leaked, this time in the form of the RTX 5090 or possibly RTX 5090 Ti. With this new information its safe to say that the RTX 5000 GPUs will bring a very substantial performance increase. The only question is whether these GPUs will be affordable..

the high end GPUs have been gaining performance like hell 3090, 4090 and 5090 but mid/low tier gpus have been lagging...
I agree
mainly because they keep jacking up the price of the new high end so much it becomes equivalent to the ultra high end of the previous gen instead of the regular high end
@@Fr00stee damn, we need competition. I hope amd´s gpu over delivers. 7900xtx performance at 50% of the price would be the dream.
This is why competition is so important. Battlemage and RDNA 4 should launch later this year and are said to be very competitive in the midrange segment. I don't think drivers would be nearly as big of a problem for Battlemage as they were for Alchemist. If Battlemage can deliver a massive performance increase over Alchemist with good drivers at reasonable prices, I think there is a good chance Intel will gain quite a bit of market share in the discrete GPU market. The flagship RDNA 4 GPU is rumoured to offer 7900 XT levels of raster performance and 4080 RT performance at half the price, which would be fairly impressive. If RDNA 4 and Battlemage can deliver powerful midrange GPUs at reasonable prices, then hopefully, it will convince Nvidia to pack significantly more processing power into their entry level and midrange GPUs. Competition can make that happen, and it benefits us consumers. It's the key to a healthy industry.
Just like phones, every time they release them, they add an extra 100 dollars here and there. People buy them, so nvidia focus profit only on the high end. How nvidia tricked everyone into buying a Titan card by giving it a 90 class on it. No amount of competition will stop nvidia by creating technology that makes their cards better. While dropping it in the future. People say nvidia takes risk, but the truth is they create problems. They sell you a fix eventually, and people keep buying only their brand. It's the apple effect, and it's creates monopolies.
A card no one can afford is to be much faster than the existing card no one can afford. So yay!
That's fine, gunna sell my organs to get the 50 series

We hear this every time a new GPU is being released, it's 50-70% faster than the last one, but under real world usage, it usually ends up being around 15-20% faster at best
Idk about that. At 4k the 90 series did have a massive gain compared to last gen. It's all about focusing that power.

Make it $500+ and I will get some legal papers for this bet to happen
I’m hoping the 5080 will either be on par with the 4090, or slightly better.
Probably £1200 -1300 for pricing.
very likely, but I think 1k will be where 4080 Supers are now as I think Nvidia got competitively burned by AMD on the 4080 original pricing. the 80s are going to be aimed at you've got a really good job earnings and no family to swallow up the savings.
Below those 70s and lower well wages are not going up, there is a cost-of-living crisis due to governments wanting net zero, so prices will remain as they are as the market is bearing that expense.
5090 is going to be fools money maybe even over 2k as home gamers are not the market group they are aiming for. Think of the 90s as the fastest race car OTR you can buy and those are not targeted at regular mum, dad or for the kid at Christmas purchases.
@@tommyrotton9468i’ll be fuming if the 5080 is slower than the 4090, it will be a powerplay by nvidia to entice people to pay the difference for the 90 series since that’s what they will be beefing the specs on.
5090 should cost 3k euro if it 79% faster😂🎉

High end PC gaming is becoming more and more unaffordable.
and so are high end tv's... Why should gamers only be the ones to buy cheap stuff as the high end?
Blame your central banks for eroding your currencies. Computing has gotten cheaper. It's your money that is losing its purchasing power.
RTX 5090, at the price of, you guessed it! $5090 (before tax)
Reporting a $1700 card leaks seems ponitless

It won't take that long. We will have that in the mid to late '30s.
+ performance... for sure. Less money? forget it, more for sure
It probably gets cut down to 50% boost and 4 vram more instead of 8. They might release 5090ti super or something for 70% boost.
Back when the RTX 50 Series was rumoured to be on TSMC 3N, these were the leaked specs for all the chips.
GB202 216 SMs
GB203 120 SMs
GB205 90 SMs
GB206 54 SMs
GB207 36 SMs
That's an enormous increase in the number of SMs, and I would expect that alone to deliver a massive performance increase. TSMC 3nm die sizes are said to be 45% smaller than TSMC 5nm, which would allow for substantial improvements for Blackwell's silicon. This is not even referring to a custom TSMC 3N node, which will further boost the performance, power efficiency, and transistor density. TSMC 3nm, especially a custom 3N node, would be a big upgrade over the custom TSMC 4N node that RTX 40 uses. Hopefully, they will use a 3nm node for the RTX 50 Series. It's still a possibility since nothing has been confirmed yet.
If we cannot afford it or its just too expensive for people that wants the best they can buy it but choose not to break the bank then its not worth talking about it just saying.
We all know or very little doubt (it means we almost sure and has barely doubting) that the 5090 msrp won't be user friendly even if it happens to cost 1600$ like the 4090 initially was.
After we saw how much money they really need to be satisfied from this AI chips that shown I won't be surprised to see in this gen or after unaffordable gpus and don't think im being negative here its just seems to be the reality that we live atm i always wants cheaper gpus but as i said after i saw what they priced this data center gpus like i won't be surprised if they gonna increase the price drastically because that's how greedy they are and here i can guarantee you that even this ai chip that they showed at computex performs way less than his cost even tho its very powerful gpu and im not underestimating his capabilities its just that how they behave today they sell you cheap quality product for premium price.
@@gamingcomputers7485 Like I have said before, the skyrocketing demand for these data centre chips isn't going to last forever. When AI becomes more mainstream and it's more widely accessible across consumer and business segments, that's when the world will hopefully become less reliant on Nvidia's stupid, overpriced data centre chips. The demand plummeting for their AI chips means their revenue for their data centre segment will go down significantly, and then hopefully, their gaming business can gain momentum and become the top market again. I am not saying the demand will completely die down for data centre chips. There would still be fairly high demand for them. It's just won't be as stupidly high as it is now. Having this high demand for data centre chips also comes with its own risks, which could hurt demand in the long run.

In your opinion, will this 50 series be future proof enough for GTA 6
I'm expecting the PS6 to be around as fast as the 5080, and GTA VI is launching on the PS5, so yes
I'm hoping my 4090 will handle GTA6 & CRYSIS4. Bought a 4TB NVMe PCI4 drive just for those 2 games.

Nvidia has released cards every two years for the past 10 years, and a refresh (TI series) about a year after that. I expect it to come end of Sept/ early Nov. They drop at the same time almost every year. Not to say that can't or won't change, but they like to keep things on schedule so investors can be happy.

Something tell me RTX 5080 will be based with GB202 GPU but with only 1 chiplet enabled (instead of 2), in that case we will have 96SM, 16GB GDDR7 (256 bits) Graphic Card.

What’s the use of such high end gpu’s where mid tier people like us can’t even enjoy a decent game with their base gpu’s
into high end gaming and able to afford high end are 2 very different things and rarely do the 2 meet......i would say most want high end but can only afford mid range- lower mid range...
I am honestly scared of RTX 5000 series, Nvidia will have an absolute monopoly of highest end cards from like 5080 upwards, 4090 itself is an excellent example of what monopoly does to the price imo
Should I buy rtx 4060 or wait for rtx 5060 ?
Nvidia will not give us the full die. The full die was built and reserved for a professional GPU.
Next up, i expect GB202 to be used for the RTX 5080. It makes too much sense given all the rumors. Nvidia is completely focused on the professional tier, which is the GB202, and the RTX 5090 and 5080 are covering the dies that didn’t make the cut. After Nvidia is done supplying the pro cards, then they will turn their focus to the rest of the stack.
Double the price of 4090 = 5090
I was a little bummed recently by gap between the likely base 5090 and theoretical 5090ti.. But then again, if we're looking at a conservative 50%+ increase over 4090, then that's pretty sweet... As long as they don't price it any closer to the moon than it already is. I suppose if I can get one for $1600, I might cave in. Give or take what the 80 looks like. Or the info on hand about RDNA 5 by then. For now, I'm still doing perfectly fine with my 3090.
1600 sounds fine but I'm expecting them to go over 2k. why? Just cause they can, and lots of people will still buy it at that price point ;(

What I expect every 2 years... a few "leakers" having multiple guesses at when the next gpu will be announced/ showcased, then they will contradict themselves and offer different specs and good/ bad comparisons to current gpu's. Someone should collect all of their tweets and when a gpu is released show how many guesses were wrong.
What I expect from Nvidia... The bare minimum they think they can give but with all the heavy work done by the latest fastest Gddr and DLS 4 or 5 or 6 etc... Also the gpu will be excessively and unnecessarily oversized and 10% more power hungry.
If Nvidia actually released a gpu that was not deliberately restricted by cache or bandwidth or vram, it would be so good, that they'd have another problem like the gtx 1080 outperforming the next gen... Nvidia would have to make gen releases every 4 years and although they're a very very wealthy company, they're not about to wait an extra 2 years by releasing gpu's that are at peak potential when they can do the very least and still sell cards...
But this time it is different, over the years game requirements have been a big catalyst to upgrading but over the last few years, the number of Epic, amazing games being released that would make people want to upgrade hardware so they can play is abysmal (with a few incredible exceptions) we don't need to upgrade any more (at present).
Since AMD has announced it is leaving the high end GPU market temporarily I suspect NVIDIA is likely going to try a jack up the prices of their highend GPUs but I think AMD is going to create some really good Mid Tier GPUs that are going to allows to use the money saved into buying better Monitors and peripherals this generation instead of paying for a premium GPU priced like a Titan hopefully causing NVIDIA to snap back to reality or they're going to put all their cards on the AI boom and leave the GPU game to AMD and Intel.
Time to sell my 4090
Correct otherwise it will drop to under $1,000 when 5000 series launches
will rtx 5060 be 70% faster than 4060? and don't get your hopes up -_-
i wouldn't expect more than a 30 - 40% increase in FPS (real world usage), but im just talkin outta my as* so...
So the jump from Rtx 3090 to 5090 (each card 70% faster) would result in 3x performance in fps, right?
Lots of variable in your question but I have a 3090. I opted to NOT get a 4090 because real world was about 20-30% increase for the games I looked at. If the 5090 comes out and is 70% better than what I have now, I'll upgrade. Which of course is also going to require a new system build. Current PSU/CPU/MOBO would not workout.
@@Unknown-pc9yq I would expect a 30 - 40% fps increase from the 4090 to 5090
Is the 5090 going to melt power connectors? Rtx 4090 still catching fire after connector revisions
Yep and Nivdia is like too BAd. Screw them.
I gave up on high end pc's I don't like gaming in a sauna
I think 4K and AI features are overrated anyways. But it is cool to see how DLSS is getting better.
70% of the graphics power isn't even going to be used with current games lol you will probably be able to run a smooth 150 fps maybe even more on the newest unreal engine 5 games turned to max graphics
VR...2*4k or more :-)
So a triple A game running RT at 60fps at 4k is going to now run around 78fps ie 30% faster
its 70% expensive
One question now, can all current motherboards support this new generation of graphics cards? Because they are GDDR7, the new generation of graphics cards
the 5060 is going to be X4 pcie gen 5 with 96bit bandwidth .
the answer is. NO
@@Rayu25Demon What motherboard do you currently recommend that is suitable for the new generation?
Upgrading to 5k series won't do much, waste of money when you can play everything on max setting w a 4060 Ti /4070 for years to come. You can build a PS5 like performance PC for 700-800$ and that's really all you need for gaming, add another 200$ ish and you have a solid rig for at lest 3-5 years. Buying the newest is almost never worth it, just a cash grab really, people like to buy new things to feel better for a little while, then it becomes normal, then conviently the next gen comes and people need it to get that dopamine hit again and the cycle repeats.
Cyberpunk,alan wake2,starfield should i go on?
Sure, if you're fine with playing everything in 1080P and have worse graphics than the console version of the game
Amd has the tech it’s not about the sms that can it’s about sells why compete with them when that will lose so keep on the back end for consumer price hello lol
