Mine came in the mail today I guess one year after this video was made. And at the time of me writing this, they cleaned up a lot of the duplicates. Thus, the actual amount of games is estimated to be around 61,000 as of now.
Got the X2-PRO last week for 100. Bluetoothed a PS4 DS to it, job done. Well worth the money just for all the ROMs alone, backed up to an external drive to play on my laptop.
Mr. Immortal, I was looking for more info on this product. I'm still iffy tbh. What I just wanted to say was that your love for the video game medium and it's history is infectious. Love the videos throughout the years. Very glad you keep making these!
One of the upsides of the these things is that there is a save anytime feature for some of the long older games that had no password or battery such as kid chameleon for genesis
My first console was the Mattel Intellivision. I've kept it up and well-cared for, even until now. For a lot of people the controller was a deal-breaker, but knowing no comparison I loved it. I practiced and played it so much I cound make that controller disc dance. My two favorite games were Night Stalker and Tron Deadly Discs...
Yeah, I got Intellivision when it first came out. Wore the shit out of those controllers. The Football game alone was insane compared to anything else. You had offensive and defensive formations to choose from, you can pick your receiver as well. Way ahead of its time. My favorite 1-player games were Tron Deadly Discs and Dungeons and Dragons. Night Stalker was really good too. Oh, and Lock N Chase was the shit.
I’ve had something similar, but it only had 10,000 games, the reality is after you’ve gone through all the nostalgia games, truth is there are only about 200 that are any good.so after 1month it becomes the console you only get out when you have the boys round for beer and joints !
Sensible world of soccer, Syndicate, Gianni Sisters, superfrog, Defender of the crown great memories of my first gaming devices c64 with cassettes and Amiga 500, that were great times 😊
My feelings towards emulation have adjusted over the years. Unfortunately at some point and time, all of our systems and games will not work. I'm sure there is many ways to be able to keep them going or repair them but at some point, for most folks, they won't work anymore. I love the official classic systems that have come out as it's a way to feed that collector in me but with something like this and having what seems to be as close to unlimited amount of games to play and preserved, it's not a bad alternative and a lot kinder on the wallet. Looking at the current prices of retro video games and it not slowing down, it may be a great alternative for folks to play something they haven't ever been able for the numerous reasons we all can relate to. Other than the classic systems, I haven't really ventured into this world. I'm glad when I'm ready, it's an option that won't cost an astronomical amount. The Saturn, dreamcast and 64 seem to have the toughest time being emulated. I know there's options out there that come close but it seems really difficult to perfect. 🤟🔥🎃
Considering you can find many working Atari 2600 out there i think most systems could work until we die. There is also hardware emulation with FPGA where you built a chip that behaves like the original hardware. So you don't have to care much about the hardware. As about games, cartridge and disk can last until the end of our lives but we already have the roms for most old games that we can put in other cartridges.
@@SIPEROTH Well another point I want to bring up, is a lot of ROM cartridge based systems have less moving parts than more recent systems that use CD/DVDs meaning there are less things that can break or stop working.
Thanks for yet another great video . This is a must buy for me, for just the Atari 8 bit alone . You just made my Birthday and Christmas. Thanks again .
At 7:15 you spoke about the 3DO and alone in the dark, but the footage you showed was actually from Another World on the Amiga. Just letting you know. Apart from that, nice video 👍🏻
Even with duplicates, snd some 3D games struggling such as Panzer Dragoon.. These are about $100. For people like me. I've moved on from collecting/investing time and money in retro. But I still love to play what i grew up with at home and arcades.. Not to shabby....
I need to grab one of these someday, already for Turbografx games alone, plus other gems, I've seen countless vids of cool games I wanna play and they're never available on anything except that mini console.
Reminds me of those DS pirate carts you could buy that promised 300 games and there were perhaps 2 or 3 actual DS games then hundreds of duplicates of NES games to fill the remainder of the cart up.
That's great emulation quality for one of these repurposed TV boxes. Android 9 gives away when the chip is from. Seems they're finally getting to chips that can run 3d games. Issues with n64 and saturn are expected until we get to flagship level chips
WOW! What can I say! Over 100,000 games! That's incredible although I've seen and played a lot of these classics I have fond memories of the Castlevania series as well as the Berserk/Frenzy games this one incredible unit definitely a stocking stuffer for any classic gamer😜🎄🌟Thanks for the video and Happy Holidays🎄🌟
Hey great video. Quick question. I am quite interested in the ZX Spectrum and ZX 81 games. I have the previos generation but can't seem to get anything to work on the Sinclair or Atari ST side of things Seems to be something to do with the emulation and keyboard interface. Can you connect a PC keyboard to the console to allow these games to work. I would be very interested to know your experiences and if you can operate these emulators.
Best system I love it. Haters are white entitled spoon in the mouth white little rich kids. And I loath you. I love this system. Games growing up I would die for. Haters of this are white kids who got everything
This looks almost too good to be true. If the rumours are true then I might consider purchasing this device if: - it has a UK 3-pin power adaptor - you can play it on a clapped-out Acer Aspire E15 Start laptop that is increasingly on life support - the Mega Drive/Genesis games list including the EA releases, in particular NHL 94 - there is scope for 4 players to allow for playing NHL 94 - the instruction manual, such as it is, follows proper English grammar - it can play Donkey Kong. That is a supreme requirement for my personal satisfaction quotient, it doesn't matter which system it's on If any one of these conditions are met, then don't be too surprised if the next sound you hear is me typing out "Super Console X2" in the Amazon search bar. In the meantime, thanks for letting me informed about this potentially gamebreaking piece of machinery.
I feel emulation shouldn’t be frowned upon, but rather encouraged. I don’t believe in pirating, but more so, I also don’t believe in scalping and ripping people off. I feel whoever owns these IPs like let’s say Nintendo for example, hate that people found a way, but they also abandoned older, iconic hardware and have not continued printing carts to older consoles. To me, since they’ve abandoned hardware, then I feel emulation is fair game. If I want to go play Tetris on NES, I can’t go buy it, that’s why emulation is a way to go
Hi, , I just wanted to ask a question. I purchased the Bearway Super Console X2 256 GB with over 100,000 games on Amazon. My question is Bearway the same as the Kinhank version or is it better? Is there any differences?
Which would you recommend between this one or super console x pro. Wanted to get one for my kids for Christmas and could you make a video showing n64 game list
Super Console X2? I have seen other videos of this box and perfect it's not. What good it's buying some cheap system if it's full of problems like faulty emulation in higher end systems, cheap controllers, etc. Them Chinese are flooding the market with their cheap crap! I'll buy none of it no way I'm giving them my business. Anyway good review and cool video John!👍 Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving Day 'bro!🦃
Thx for the video. Do you know what is the difference between the X2 and the X2 Pro? And has anybody a clue if the 64GB version is enough for the PS1, SNES, N64 Games? There is no information which game is on which version. Thx in advance:)
Hi John ! is it possible to take off the frame of the console to which the game belongs while playing and make the screen without this frame? Is there anything in the settings that takes it away? Thank you very much in advance for your reply. I look forward to it
I have over 70 game systems and games on my PC and only have about 60,000 games there must be a lot of repeat games on this or like same games but different versions like Japanese, USA and so on??

One of the biggest reason why is some of the games are not working is because they are using a really cheap SD card. Which is most likely corrupted. And who the hell is going to test 107.000. either it's dad or they are being deceptive. Making you think it's got that many games on it but actually it's only got around 10 to 15000 that actually work

Most of them are crap, and won't really even work. You know these Chinese pirates didn't test 100,000 games. They probably didn't even test all the emulators. But, for $70, if you get a day of fun out of it, it's worth it.

I wish they would pre install the game genie codes with these systems. Some of those Nes games are hard as hell

Wow it's my birthday today, and you just showed blue max! This is a game I played as a kid on my dad's home atari. Made me well up ❤️
The fact they added hacks, openbor and atomiswave is pretty cool regardless of the device itself, they covered alot.
Are the games pre-loaded?
The menu is really nice

These are my favorite reviews on your channel. You should do some specials where you see how many realigned or localized games you can find!
At 7:15 you spoke about the 3DO and alone in the dark, but the footage you showed was actually from Another World on the Amiga. Just letting you know. Apart from that, nice video 👍🏻
Does it have a complete collection of the Commodore Amiga games? Does it also have Dragons Lair and Space Ace?

You aren't purchasing the license to play any of these games. The only difference between this and piracy is that some chinese dude is making $50.
Seems it should come with the emus already setup.
3:35 Holy crap, I totally forgot about the old Pocket Pikachu! Good times. Made my mom drive all over the city to find one back in the day lol
Looks very similar to RetroPie. Interesting device.
Was looking into buying this, glad you let us know about Saturn not working ! Appreciate it
The xbox series x is great for saturn
Dude. There's so many on amazon, IDK what one to get. Do you have a model you recommend?
I think this is the KinHank Super Console X2 Pro. I got mine off of Amazon for $110 😄👍... oh and that is the 256GB model
Been looking for a good box with more games. Thx John! Great video.
John! Got mine in the mail today. I am a happy camper. Got it on Amazon. Much better that the DX Pandora.
Definitely you keep it positive John!😜

Glad to see I was wrong.

Is there somewhere I can just grab the files? I already have a bragging rights PC but that collection seems pretty neat.
I’m totally gonna order one!!!!!!!
Awesome review Mr Hancock!!!!!!
Good stuff, John. I always find these devices interesting. Thanks for the video.
What is the difference between this model and the X3 plus? It appears the the x3 plus is better but is it missing something that this X2 has?
Great review. Thanks John.

I had a Colecovision back in the day. Wish I still did.
It’s selling for 30 dollars now it’s a no brainer at that price.it’s a convenient and cheap way to play retro games
An interesting video showing what games you can play. As a non gamer I would have liked to have seen a review of the TV function.
Well that's okay. As a non Gamer you can try watch paint dry and grass growing
Most of the games you showed (that are not from 3D era) I played on either Amiga or Commodore 64.
The 3D0 wasn't that obscure. Good review.

Yes, a pc keyboard and mouse required for some of the computer emulation.
107,000 games? Instead of the X2, they should have named it the Super Console BLH, with the BLH standing for 'Backlog Hell.' Lol.
Lol
Bounce around and play games for 30 seconds each: the console.

Fairly straightforward, but menus per emulator might need a few tweaks. Some skills help when using a device to be honest.

What did you have to "tweak" to get Nintendo64 to work?

Can u use another type of Bluetooth controller besides the ones that come with the console?

Better performance than a Pi4? Looking for something different to hookup to my Arcade1up cabinet.
Hmm honestly don’t know.
MisterFPGA is what you are looking for then, emulates actual console/computers/arcade boards on a hardware level not software. Not cheap though.
I seriously doubt it outperforms a pie 4, given the price
