My understanding about the cause of Huntington's disease, is that some citosines in CAG triplets are transformed in thymines, creating stop codons TAG and if so, then it is possible that a diet including the amino acid selenocysteine could prevent or reduce the formation of truncated proteins that invade the nuclei of neurons, because selenocysteine sometimes is selected in stop codons and the rest of the Huntingtin would be assembled, with selenocysteine instead of an arginine.
