I needed to print in two colors and this video really help me. Thanks!
Just a note that I had to place the ChangeAtHieght.py in the plugins directory rather than the scripts for Cura 4.4.1
this is described on the thingiverse page

Thanks for sharing. You can also use prusaslicer with any printer not just prusa printers and it has excellent multi color support.

Interesting you picked this topic as I was just playing with two colours on my Ender 3 but by simply stopping it, changing filament and resuming. Not as accurate but it works.. Now to see how to do it using Simplify3d. As always....Thanks for sharing.. we will all learn together!! =)

Thank you Irv. I really enjoy the way you present in your videos. New to 3D printing myself. Started with an Ender 5 and loving it. Keep up learning with us. Regards from Denmark.

Very nice walkthrough. Love your videos but I was wondering if this would be the same on a MP10 300x300 monoprice printer. I am trying to set this up in Cura with no luck. It pauses but then I can’t get it to resume. Any help would be great.

Hey DrVax, I thought you might like to see a recent print I did on the Ender 5 using this method and plugin.
7 Colors. 6 swaps. Black, White, Blue, Yellow, Red, White, Silver .2 layers
    imgur.com/gallery/BfSX2GL
It was just under 9 hours.
1 issue I still have not figured out is that if I make the first layer like 2mm thick, and start the 2nd layer right at 2mm (Instead of buried a layer or 2 down), Cura still slices it as if the layer is sinks down, but fills it an too. So, as you will see in the first black layer pic, at .2 layers there were 10. But, for the top 3 or 4, it printed around where the letters would be, then filled in the gap. This takes way longer than if it had just printed the layer smooth like it was supposed to. In this case, the black layers took 4 hours. Wish I could figure that out.

Irv, why always Cura? Many of us used S3D

I own S3D but prefer to use free slicers for my videos. Many of my viewers will speed $200 $300 on a 3D printer so spending $150 on a slicer seems like a lot of money to them.
