Lightly spray "Static Guard" spray on the glass to prevent the sticking. It works! This is such a beautiful and creative idea! I would have loved this as a child! I grew up in an area with no snow and always fantasized about what it would be like. I now live in an area that gets plenty of snow and am over it, lol. I just think this is such a genius idea! You're so clever and I never get tired of your ideas.

Oh, Mary, your extra videos are such a God-sent! I contracted Covid-19 and is house, and at the moment still bed bound for 2 weeks. What a wonderful way to spend some of my isolation hours. 😊

I am a card maker and when I want to use embossing powder, I rub my card with what is called an "anti static" bag which helps the powder to not stick to places where I don't want it. The bag is just a little cotton bag filled with corn starch. Maybe that would help if you rubbed the glass with that. Dryer sheets have a bit of stickiness about them so that may be why they didn't help a bunch. Hope that helps! I love your videos and this project is just awesome!

Your project takes me back to when I was 7 & my grandma gave me a small snow globe that had a tree inside & lit like a nightlight. To stop the static, you can remove the styrofoam balls into a bowl or box & spray them with static guard. Let dry. spray a 2nd time & let dry completely. That should work.

That was absolutely adorable! Reminds me of my battery operated snow lanterns I have that are lighted and the snow (glitter) falls continually. They make me SO happy! But yours looks even more cozy. I LOVE IT!

There is a spray you can put on you eyeglass lenses to prevent fogging when you wear a mask or whatever. That may work though it’s not its intended use. This is one of the cutest things I’ve seen in a while.

That’s beautiful lace. A friend had her daughters room painted and the painter painted the room using lace as a stencil, it was so beautiful.And speaking of beautiful your snow box turned out to be beautiful (in spite of the fact that I’m not a fan of snow at all).

Mary I love the snow globe and your short videos! Could you take out the styrofoam snow and rub it with dryer sheets in a bowl or shake it in a bag with the dryer sheets to try to cut the static? Just an idea...I think there are antistatic sprays as well.

It's darling and creative. I don't know how you do it. I used to have an extremely hyper overdrive creativity and couldn't sleep. I'd create in my mind the project in detail in my mind. I'd design and redesign. Then the next day or two I'd make it. Then on to the next project.
I'm pretty happy my eyesight lets me enjoy other things, it's gotten bad. I enjoy watching others making different things. And I can sleep at night. Sounds strange to be grateful for my eyes going bad but that's how God works. He said rest and garden. You design it and I will make it grow.

VERY NICE ! Another way to make snow globe: Almost any jar, Glass jar/upside down jar with lid, glycerin, glitter, plastic or ceramic figurines, synethetic evergreen tips, Sand inside jar lid and glue the figurines using Clear drying epoxy, Fill the jar almost to the top with distilled water, add a pinch of glitter, and a dash of glycerin to keep the glitter from falling too quickly. Dont add too much or the glitter will stick to the bottom of the jar when flipped. Turn the jar over and back again and let it snow!
