Still in the middle of watching this video, but had to comment. I’m a mom of girls your age and I’ve been heartbroken since you lost your precious mum. Every video I want to wrap my arms around you, as I would want some mum to do for my girls when I’m gone. Anyway I just want to thank you for sharing that bit of your heart in this one, I’m sure all the mums watching feel as I do. Feeling your pain and sadness and praying for the days to get just a bit easier for you. I hope that sharing these tender thoughts helps you in some way and that you can feel the love we viewers send you, especially in these moments. 💕
Thank you so much for your incredibly kind and heartfelt message. It truly means the world to me, and I’m deeply touched by your words. Sharing those tender moments does help, and knowing that there are wonderful people like you out there, sending love and understanding, brings so much comfort. Thank you for your prayers and support-it's moments like this that remind me how special this community is. Sending love back to you and your girls. 💕
It was always Cardinal birds for my mom. Now every time I hear or see one I like to think that it's mom sending a message that she's thinking of me too. 😊
I know your mom is so proud of you. I also think your sign is a sign. Best wishes to you. Take your time, do what you need to do to heal, enjoy the family you have, and keep lovin' those kitties.
Hi Catherine, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved Mam. I lost my own Mom 3 weeks ago.💔 I am planting a little memory corner in my garden of my Mom's favourite flowers and plants. She loved her garden. Mind yourself ❤
What a lovely sign from your mama. I lost my Dad many years ago and I carry him with me everyday. Every now and then something happens to show me he is with me, just as your Mom is with you 🩷
Thank you for sharing that with me. It’s such a comfort to hear how others feel their loved ones close, even after they're gone. Those little signs are so special, aren’t they? It's a beautiful reminder that they’re still watching over us. Sending love your way as you carry your dad with you each day x
I think it's so very special that you will plant a small garden on your mom's grave. I feel like it's a perpetual sign of hope amidst the sadness. What a wonderful idea. Love the sign you found with her name. You are in my thoughts often.♥♥
That's so lovely that you can garden on your mother's grave. Here in Delaware we aren't allowed to dig on graves or plant things. Which makes me sad, I'd love to do something for my parents graves. If you do a small garden I do hope you'll share it with us. Many blessings for you dear Catherine.
Oh I definitely believe in signs our loved ones are always with us. I have a memorial garden I made in my yard for my mom and now have one for my husband too that I lost not long ago. Every time I work in those beds I feel them with me and feel at peace. It’s amazing how much comfort our gardens can bring us💗
I think that the "soil thoughts " came to you because gardening and beautiful flowers bring you joy and happiness. Making a garden there will be a special way to honor her memory ❤️. Wishing you peace and comfort in your heart and soul. God bless xoxo
First you make me cry with your story about the sign and then you have laughing my ass off over the cat peeing on you. I know you don’t know it but we had such a nice visit today. I look forward to your videos so much. Take time and be happy.
How sweet to find that sign from your mum. I did not think of it as morbid if you were thinking of soil, it gave you joy and I’m sure your mum is smiling too. 😌 I love your table and chairs and it’s full of history within your home. Nothing that that a table cloth cannot cover when you have folks for dinner or tea. Love your hair. The table looking lovely. Lucky find of the 5 lb chair. ❤ Score on the Alan Tichmart books. Love seeing him work in the gardens.
Thank you so much for your kind words! Finding that sign really felt like a sweet moment, and I like to think my mum is smiling too. 😊 I’m so glad you like the table and chairs-they’ve certainly seen some history in my home! A tablecloth definitely works wonders when hosting, you’re so right. The €5 chair was such a lucky find, and those Alan Titchmarsh books are a real treasure! I love watching him in the garden as well. ❤
Nobody can tell you what to feel or think when you lose a loved one, especially your mum. I remember when we took our mother off life support, I immediately cut some of her hair and some of my sisters got angry with me. A few years after, they told me they wish they had taken some hair too cause they saw how every now and then I would touch her hair and it helped me with the grieving process. So no that wasn’t morbid. Sending prayers to you and your family. 🙏🙏🙏
My mom passed away about 25 years ago now when I was 30 but she’s buried about 2 hours away so planting wasn’t an option really. My sister and I included a few favorite things in her casket for her though. Camel cigarettes, a Tab, her favorite drink and her favorite little bathtub pics of us. She said seeing us so sweet in a bubble bath like that kept her from killing us during our teen years. 😂 you do whatever you need to do to make this time easier.
When my little sister passed, mom and I chose the plot with the perfect elm tree. We can't plant on graves. We do take garden flowers and a grave blanket for Christmas. It makes a lovely mulch against the cold wind here in Omaha, Nebraska. We have lovely grass when the blanket is removed in Spring. I used to make them myself from evergreen clippings. Your backless chair could be turned into a stool/side table/cat perch. The spindles could be a wind chime....Love your videos.
Some of our historic cemeteries here in Tennessee in the US have programs for volunteers to tend to graves that have a ring around them to plant flowers in. It’s really lovely. I’ve helped out in the past and it’s so nice seeing people tend to them. That garden sign is such a treasure. I can only imagine what a wonderful and emotional moment it was finding it.
It's wonderful that you saw the garden sign with your mums name on it. My eyes welled up. I do believe you were meant to find it ❤ The solid chair is beautiful. I'm looking forward to seeing the transformation. The table looks incredible after a good sand & wax treatment. Bon is very inquisitive 😊 We've had a mild, warm day today. The grass has had what may be the final cut for the year. The leaves are plentiful as the garden is surrounded by huge trees. The slugs appear in the evenings to munch at my lavender. They seem so much bigger this year. Sending you all good wishes 🙏 ❤️ xx
Thank you so much for your lovely words! I truly believe that finding the garden sign was meant to be; it felt like a warm hug from my mum. It sounds like your garden is thriving, even with the slugs enjoying your lavender! Those big trees must create such a beautiful atmosphere, especially this time of year. Wishing you all the best as you enjoy the last of the warm days! 🌿❤️ xx
I watch Alan's new series on HGTV, I know his older TV shows as well. I love Charly Dimmock who worked with him and still has her own TV show. They are all a source of inspiration like you, dear Catherine. The sign with your mum's name is so wonderful. I feel with you so deeply.❤
I love the highlights in your hair Catherine. Lucky you to have found the garden sign with your mother's name. The table top looks fresh and clean. Take care and sending ❤ thank you for the video.
Thank you so much! I’m really happy with how the hair turned out. It felt like such a lovely sign to find that garden piece with my mum’s name-it made the day feel extra special. I’m glad you liked the table refresh as well! Sending lots of love right back to you, and thank you for watching! ❤
That sign was absolutely your mom getting your attention. The flower idea is so wonderful I wish I could do that for my dad's grave, but alas, they only want grass. Your table is giving me ideas, but for some wood walls I have in my home.
You might already have decided on the chair, but I would suggest sawing the shattered pieces of the spindles off. Then get a thin wooden dowel, drill down in the spindle a ways and glue the dowel on place of the shattered end. Should be sturdy enough if you drill down a bit and the other two is in good condition 💕
Hi Catherine, I believe the Frances garden sign was a message from your Mam. So lovely for you to find it. Your table turned out lovely, I know you said it needed a 2nd coat but I thought it looked finished. Beautiful flower arrangement on the table too. Love the chair, great find. Have a lovely weekend, take care 💜
Hi Catherine just to say we put snow drop bulbs on my mum's grave as she had a January birthday, also wild primroses. We do of course put cut flowers for the rest of the year. Thinking of you, take care 😊
My mom’s name is Frances as well and she passed away in 12/2021. It’s like it was just yesterday. Thank you for sharing your treasures. You give me so much inspiration. Thank you for sharing ❤️.
I'm so sorry to hear about your mum. I can understand how fresh those feelings can still be. Thank you for your kind words-I'm so glad my videos inspire you. Sending you lots of love as you hold onto your precious memories. ❤️
How special that you can plan a wee garden for your mam’s grave, even if it takes a bit of time before you’re actually able to plant. Gardens are such a lovely way to remember - I take holly in every Christmas from the trees my late husband planted and I think of it as him still giving me flowers, the way he always did when he was alive.
That sign with your mums name on is so sweet. My mums middle name was Frances. She was Joy Frances. I always put a Joy decoration on my Christmas tree, so she’s with me at Christmas.❤❤❤❤
I loved that story about finding the little sign with your Mam's name, and how you were assessing the soil on her grave! Got a little teary! If there's a heaven, she would surely be looking down and smiling with pride at you! I also had a bit of a moment realising for all the bad rap that social media gets, there can be a genuine sense of connection and people who really care. I feel very moved when I read all the comments on your videos. Sending so much love and prayers to you and your family. ❤
Most of my household consists of second hand items. Some from shops and some from family. I think of them as treasures. Many are one of a kind! Your projects inspire me to refresh and wallpaper with birds is on my mind lately. Keep up the great work. ❤
Catherine, im soo sorry to hear about your mum. I'm sending you soo much love, healing energeis, peace, comfort and blessings. Maybe also plant something your mum liked. Sending you soo much healing energies. xx
Catherine thank you so much for visiting the Wall Garden. Beautiful peaceful garden. Now that is a good thrift store. A place to explore and find a good treasure. Love the garden sign with your Mothers name. Frances how sweet. It will be nice to have tulip bulbs and maybe iris and perennial plants that thrive without a lot of water. Lucky find on the beautiful kitchen chair. Check out foam sanding pads for your sander. They make pads for every model. Table top is so pretty. Love it. Have a wonderful week. Talk to your bees about their upcoming event in the Honey showing contest. lol. ( it may be time for spray water bottle training for your teenage kittens) Just a spritz of water to remind them not to jump on the stove top or counter, table etc to keep them safe. It did not take but a few reminders. Cats are smart. Mine wanted to scratch her claws on the dining room table legs. Not happening. She has a cat tree, scratching post and a cardboard scratcher with catmint .
I have a old desk cut down to a coffee table, recently had it redone, sanded and changed the colour again. Can't fault good solid heavy wood. What a lovely way to celebrate your mum 💕💕💕
Jay from the channel Flippingdrawers(as well as many furniture flippers) use the Surfprep sander. It has a vacuum, is dust free, and has unique foam pads to hug curves in wood. He uses a knock-off version and swears it's better and cheaper than the original. I think it would be an excellent tool to have.
Oh Cathrine! I love getting signs from my loved ones ! I have lost 4 members of family in past few years and really enjoy getting messages from beyond. Your mom was with you, no doubt. Gives me the goosebumps every time. So happy to be hanging out with you. For anyone in Calgary Alberta, Canada- Reader rock garden is a lovely hidden gem. Has a special place in my heart, since it is where my husband proposed.
Thank you for sharing that! Those signs really do bring so much comfort, don't they? I'm so sorry for your losses, but it's beautiful that you feel those messages from beyond. Reader Rock Garden sounds like such a special place, and how lovely that it’s tied to such a sweet memory of your husband proposing. Sending lots of love to you, have a lovely weekend x
Such wonderful fnding the plaque with your mum's name. I'm glad you took it with you. My mum wanted to be layed to rest in the same plot as my dad and her parents once she was cremeated, so we set her over my dad's heart, the weather in my home country is very extreme, very cold winters and very hot summers, so we planted type of succulent that has beutiful white flowers in spring and summer, but is frost and draught resistent. You know that when you hear magpies chatter outside your window, it calls in prosperity and good fortune. Autumn gardens, nature's flamboyant farewell before settling for winter's rest. I live in Hounslow in greater London, my favourite hidden garden is the Italian fountain in Twickenham and my favourite nature walk is in Crane Park, starting with the gunpowder tower takes you all the way to Richmond. Favourite places to trift and rummage are Witton High Street, plenty of charity shops, and Twickenham, too. Also, the vintage market in Chiswick 😊
Thank you so much for sharing that beautiful story, and I’m glad you liked the plaque! It’s so lovely to hear about your mum’s resting place and how you’ve made it special for her. Those gardens sound magical- they sound right up my alley! Sending lots of love 💕
I love that you shared your story about your mom. It is so fitting and gives us a glimpse of a healthy way to help process grief. I'm also delighted to hear that you can actually plant on your mom's grave. In my area there are so many rules and sometimes you aren't allowed to even leave a bouquet of real flowers.
I love the sign and your ideas you have for your mom's resting spot. I think building a little garden is perfect. Sending you much love and strength. As for your table, I love the warmth of the wood showing through. I remember when you left the table leg warmer than the top. I am glad that you are going to leave the top the same. The cats are a handful but totally cute! I am a dog person but I lost my Archie last Oct. He was the sweetest Maltese. He sadly passed shortly after his 17th birthday. He was healthy and limber his whole life but suddenly a few months before we had to let him go, he barely ate and things went down hill fast. Boy did I cry for months. I was his person until the end. Pets have a way of making their way to your heart!
The little garden of spring bulbs for your mums grave is a beautiful idea. I also believe in signs and seeing a lot since my dad passed away. It helps me feel a bit brighter when I see a little sign. I'm also reading a book called Signs By Laura Lynne Jackson, which is such a comforting and gentle read for anyone recently bereaved - you might like it too ❤ Thanks for the table diy, I'm planning on doing the same soon as I have a similar table. This has given me a clue on how to go about doing it 😊x
Love the thrifting finds, and the garden message from your Mom for you. ❤ If you decide not to paint the chair, you could sand, then use a paint brush to apply bleach. It takes the orange right out of the wood. Then stain, seal with wax, or whatever you choose. Your style is wonderful. 😊
Awwww Catherine I'm sure your wee Mam had a giggle at you about the soil. I love getting little things happening that I feel my wee mum & Dad are letting me know they will always be near . Loving how the table turned out ❤ Patricia xx.
What a lovely little sign, a gift from above maybe. You are going to create a mini garden for your mum, how wonderful xx Roses do well in clay. You did a great job on your table. Love to you Catherine and have a great weekend everyone 💋
I was just wondering to myself how you were coping with the loss of your Mam. I know you're making video content but we all put on a face for the day job even when we're hurting and just at that you spoke about finding a sign that was a sign from your Mam. I had a lump in my throat for you, Catherine. What an unexpected and special find. I love your table, I especially love the base. My kitchen table wasn't second hand but it is getting close to 40 years old so it's got some battle scars for sure. Like yours, it's solid wood. I've refurbished it a few times but these days I just throw an oilcloth over it which is much easier! As a fellow cat slave, I feel your pain. The last incident was when my little darling bolted her dinner then promptly regurgitated it on top of my bed. Charming. As I always tell her, it's lucky she's bonny!
Those Alan Titmarsh books are brilliant picked them up too in second hand shop great lil bargain. Such a lovely thought the sign for your Mam ❤ Your cats have grown up so fast they are gorgeous 😸
Love the vlog. I just love to see your cats playing you up.lol It brought a tear to my eye, when you spoke about your mother. Take care. I wish every happiness for you.x
What a lovely vlog, so calming and gentle as always so thank you for that. I think the sign, it is your mum not being too far away it is lovely. My mum and her sister (my auntie) were so close and they have now both passed away. One day my sister came to visit, and my husband & I took her to a tea room near where we live. The tea room, had tables much like your table, and they all had names on them. Two tables that were next to each other, were Joan and Vera, my mum and auntie's name, we saw that as a sign they were close nearby. We all love to find those little moments that make us feel our loved ones are near. Frances is my middle name and it struck a cord with me as it was my grandmothers name also and it made me think of her, isn't that lovely? I suggest you buy a heat resistant table protector cover for when you want to use it for your craft work. I know you always put a plastic sheet over it but that obviously will not protect against heat or dents. The table protector will do both. Usually bought from a roll and cut to size, you could buy some and cut to shape to protect your table, when not in use just roll it up and store it away. It is usually quite a reasonable price and most good fabric shops sell it or Amazon and other online site sell it also. It gets easier as time goes by, and little moments like finding the sign usually help. Loved this Vlog, thank you again xx
Lovely video Catherine...I am a spiritual person ...a sign..oh yes I would like to think you coming across that little name plate was your mum just letting you know she was with you on your little trip out ...that's a wonderful comfort...those little signs mean so much...your table top looks fantastic & your fur babies at times can create extra chores I know, but we wouldn't be without them..I know I definitely wouldn't be without mine...xx
Those flowers in the walled garden are beautiful You were destined to go there and find a plaque with your mums name on it bless you your mum will be forever with you in your heart Happy planting for your mum
Hi Catherine, love you vlog tonight! I was so touched and very moved when you found that little plack named after you dear Mum. I go every week to maintain my Mum & Dads grave. My Mums parents are also buried at the same church where where my parents are and I’m currently in the process of trying to tidy up my grandparents grave so I can also put some plants in. I can honestly say I understand how you feel. It’s been two years for my Mum and five years since my Dad passed. The pain is still there and not a day goes by where I’m not thinking about them both.
Hi Catherine, your mum's grave will look lovely when you've planted it. I have daffodils bulbs around my mum and dad plaques in the cemetery. Which look pretty the spring unfortunately I can't plant anything more as space is a issue. The little sign you picked up is lovely such a kind lady in the market. Alan's books was a good find. I love your table too . The cats have grown so much . Have a nice weekend lovely xxx ❤️
My mother and two younger brothers are in Nass graveyard. im living in wexford, so it's a bit of a drive. I had the grave cement gravel on top and have 5 pots. I do have spring bulbs and summer bulbs in them . For me, it's just much easier to keep. As i only get up once a month now. I keep two 5 litter bottles of water behind the headstone, so when anyone drops in , they can water the pots. Hope your keeping well
Your viewers are all so concerned for you Catherine. My heart broke for you when I saw the sign with your mum’s name. You’re brave and strong and I’m sure life will be good to you coz her spirit’s in you. Take care 💞💞
That’s a sweet sign you found in memory of your mom.❤ Also, the garden idea on her grave site. Your a dear daughter. Hope your doing well and thank you for another inspiring video! 😊. God bless you.
Thank you so much for your kind words! It means a lot to me. I really appreciate your support and hope you enjoy the video. Wishing you all the best! God bless you too! ❤️😊
What a lovely video, just enjoyable to watch … I wish I was close to the shop I’d love a mooch around 😂. It’s like fate- finding the sign, just a reminder of your dear mother (watching over) would it be nice in your green house - & when your having a cup of tea after your hard work - it’s just a little (subconscious nod )in a way 🕯️😘sorry it’s just me & my daft sentimental thought. The table looks good, did you notice the needlework wooden case- always think they look good & so practical- ideal for you. Have a lovely relaxing time reading your new books 📚take care 🙏🏻💐😁 😊
That’s so sweet 🥹 thanks for that! I do hope you have some similar shops near you for a mooch too, can’t beat it 😍 always some treasure to be found! Thanks for stopping by xx
Sure do 🤣thing is I’m sure I could sell them items 🤣you can’t help liking things, I like random things - you can’t help liking things you like but it’s so varied & obviously if it’s a bargain that’s even better😊.
My sisters and l lost our dad in 2001 and our mum in 2002 and when I was in the garden years back I saw a robin they say that’s a sign loved ones are there, lovely video
I looked it up. The hardcover books were published in 2002 and the paperback in 2007, and they are still being sold on Amazon. Such a lovely surprise finding your Mum's name. She was, she is, watching over you. 💕🤗
Hi, Catherine, I would put a nice tablecloth on the table. Not always but sometimes. If you don't have one, certainly you can find one for a round table in a second hand shop.
Hello sweet Catherine!! Hope you're doing better.. I am sure that the "signs" we come across in life are never by accident.. it is a way to get in touch with what we cannot reach.. have faith and be on alert for them, they are everywhere! I am wishing you, as the time goes by, to remember your mum with a smile and a warm heart! Also..I would like to suggest something about your broken chair.. you can use it at another room, the bedroom for example, where noone will sit, but you can display some seasonal decorations on it, place some books or use it as a clothes stand.. just a thought I had.. Take care! Wishing you all the best!! Greetings from Greece, Konstantina ❤
Yes there are Signs I think Catherine I've had quite a few moments like that after my Husband died he definitely keeps things going, I was never one for that before but I certainly am now 😊 it gives comfort xxx
Hi Catherine loved what you had to share those flowers were beautiful your table turned out looking new again looking forward to your next video give the playful pretty cats a hug for have fun be safe ❤❤❤
I have a Craftsman orbital sander. I love it! They also make a detail sander. It's shaped like a triangle, so the tip is good for small areas. Both sanders are available in battery and corded versions.
What a beautiful video! My favorite thrift is anywhere with my friends. We are actually taking a thrift trip next week for a few days. Greetings from Wind Lake, WI USA.
I couldn’t help grinning with you Catherine when you said you were looking at the soil thinking 🤔 “Mulch” 😆 lovely plaque you found , was meant to be, my Grandma’s name was Frances, I never got to meet her she passed 2yrs before I was born, but apparently we were very similar and would of got on like a house on fire 😊 Bonn is a true rascal! But a a love a mischievous cat😁 I like the warmer tone of the table, and the chair you found is full of character. I am so hopeful for you to have honey next year. I am sure you Mam is watching over you and sending comfort where she can ❤ Hugs, Suze. 🤗 x
I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother, but I think it's a lovely idea. Planting a garden on her grave and I do believe in; signs❤ your table looks very nice.
Oh my god Catherine I laughed so hard when you were talking about checking out the soil at your Mums plot. Nothing morbid about that at all, getting on with the business of life is healthy. Take care, Gabby
Still in the middle of watching this video, but had to comment. I’m a mom of girls your age and I’ve been heartbroken since you lost your precious mum. What lovely comments
I love this comment .as a mum myself now but lost my dad when i was 18 i feel the same way about wanting to wrap my arms around Catherine.
Such a lovely nod to your Mam, i’m sure you’ll make a grand job of making her space look beautiful - sending you lots of love chick ❤
What a lovely comment ❤ and so say all of us too, such a wonderful community on here ❤❤
100% believe that our loved ones send us signs that they are watching over us❤️🤗
It was always Cardinal birds for my mom. Now every time I hear or see one I like to think that it's mom sending a message that she's thinking of me too. 😊
Mines a feather from my Dad😃
Yes I always have since I was a small child and it seems to bring comfort.
Mine is a coin found on the street. Friends left a trail of pennies at our wedding reception. Dad is never far ❤️
You were and still are a blessing to your mum. You make my mama heart smile!
I’m so sorry for your loss Patricia 💔 look after yourself ❤️ what a lovely way to honour your mum
@DaintyDiaries thanks Catherine you too ❤️
I'm so sorry for your loss. ❤❤❤
What a lovely sign from your mama. I lost my Dad many years ago and I carry him with me everyday. Every now and then something happens to show me he is with me, just as your Mom is with you 🩷
same 🙋🏻♀️💟✨
Thank you for sharing that with me.
Thanks so much Danielle 💕 that’s very kind of you xx
That's so lovely that you can garden on your mother's grave. Here in Delaware we aren't allowed to dig on graves or plant things. Which makes me sad, I'd love to do something for my parents graves. If you do a small garden I do hope you'll share it with us. Many blessings for you dear Catherine.
Oh I definitely believe in signs our loved ones are always with us. I have a memorial garden I made in my yard for my mom and now have one for my husband too that I lost not long ago. Every time I work in those beds I feel them with me and feel at peace. It’s amazing how much comfort our gardens can bring us💗
I’m so sorry for your loss 💔 it sounds like a beautiful memorial garden you’ve made! So much comfort ❤️
I think that the "soil thoughts " came to you because gardening and beautiful flowers bring you joy and happiness. Making a garden there will be a special way to honor her memory ❤️. Wishing you peace and comfort in your heart and soul. God bless xoxo
The sign is definitely a sign. Our loved ones know what we are up to. I get confirmation in my dreams. ❤💐
First you make me cry with your story about the sign and then you have laughing my ass off over the cat peeing on you. I know you don’t know it but we had such a nice visit today. I look forward to your videos so much. Take time and be happy.
The sign you found was your mom’s way of showing you that she is still with you.
How sweet to find that sign from your mum. I did not think of it as morbid if you were thinking of soil, it gave you joy and I’m sure your mum is smiling too. 😌
I love your table and chairs and it’s full of history within your home. Nothing that that a table cloth cannot cover when you have folks for dinner or tea.
Love your hair.
The table looking lovely. Lucky find of the 5 lb chair. ❤
Score on the Alan Tichmart books.
There’s no right or wrong when it comes to grief ❤️
My mom passed away about 25 years ago now when I was 30 but she’s buried about 2 hours away so planting wasn’t an option really. My sister and I included a few favorite things in her casket for her though. Camel cigarettes, a Tab, her favorite drink and her favorite little bathtub pics of us. She said seeing us so sweet in a bubble bath like that kept her from killing us during our teen years. 😂 you do whatever you need to do to make this time easier.
Those "Pooh" dahlias are beautiful, and the shot you got with the bee was so nice!
It’s a shame that you can’t plant on the graves but the elm tree sounds like beautiful spot❤️
The highlights and low lights in your hair are beautiful
Some of our historic cemeteries here in Tennessee in the US have programs for volunteers to tend to graves that have a ring around them to plant flowers in. It’s really lovely. I’ve helped out in the past and it’s so nice seeing people tend to them. That garden sign is such a treasure. I can only imagine what a wonderful and emotional moment it was finding it.
That’s such a lovely idea 💕
It's wonderful that you saw the garden sign with your mums name on it. My eyes welled up. I do believe you were meant to find it ❤
The solid chair is beautiful. I'm looking forward to seeing the transformation. The table looks incredible after a good sand & wax treatment.
Bon is very inquisitive 😊
We've had a mild, warm day today.
Catherine, lovely sign and a nice way to remember your mam. We like the chair you found. 👍👍❤❤
Thank you so much! The sign feels like a special little reminder of her, and I'm so glad you liked the chair too! It was such a great find. 😊💕
All I want to say is don´t apologize for being sad. We love you ❤
Finding your mom’s name on the little garden sign was definitely a big hug from her! 🥰
Thanks Jo ❤️
Aww love that was definitely a sing from your ma letting you know she's with you always 💖
Hi Catherine just to say we put snow drop bulbs on my mum's grave as she had a January birthday, also wild primroses. We do of course put cut flowers for the rest of the year. Thinking of you, take care 😊
My name is Steven Lauder from Durham your craft ideas are great they have given me some ideas
Defo a beautiful sign from your mum x ❤
Here is a warm hug for you from South Africa - and how lovely that you are planning some of your gardening magic on your Mum's grave.....
Thank you sweetheart x
That sign with your mums name on is so sweet. My mums middle name was Frances. She was Joy Frances. I always put a Joy decoration on my Christmas tree, so she’s with me at Christmas.❤❤❤❤
That’s so sweet ❤️ such a nice touch to include her x
Love the new colour of the table. A sweet sign from mom😀
Catherine, im soo sorry to hear about your mum. I'm sending you soo much love, healing energeis, peace, comfort and blessings.
Maybe also plant something your mum liked. Sending you soo much healing energies. xx
Hugs and love to you, Catherine . There is no shame in matters of the ❤️ 😘🫂
Catherine thank you so much for visiting the Wall Garden.
I was so pleased to see you had a new video it gives me a lift I loved it xx
🤣🤣🤣 you are priceless! Most people would clear the table before unscrewing it😂… your approach is so you! Don’t ever change darling xx
I have a old desk cut down to a coffee table, recently had it redone, sanded and changed the colour again. Can't fault good solid heavy wood. What a lovely way to celebrate your mum 💕💕💕
That sounds beautiful! Solid wood pieces like that have so much character and can really bring warmth to a space. x
"Heavy clay soil..." oh, I do love your dear sweet tender heart.
That touched my heart as well.
I'm very lucky I live about 15mins drive from Wisley Gardens. I never tire of it there's always something new to see 😊
Jay from the channel Flippingdrawers(as well as many furniture flippers) use the Surfprep sander.
Awww there are signs all around us and I believe that was definitely a sign that your sweet mamma is with you ❤
Absolutely! It's comforting to think that our loved ones are always watching over us. Thank you for your kind words! ❤️
@DaintyDiaries I appreciate your reply and candour and sharing such sweet, vulnerable, and personal moments with us. Sending love your way 💕
I love that you shared your story about your mom.
Thank you for sharing, that was definitely a sign from your mom, sending you hugs
The little garden of spring bulbs for your mums grave is a beautiful idea. I also believe in signs and seeing a lot since my dad passed away. It helps me feel a bit brighter when I see a little sign. I'm also reading a book called Signs By Laura Lynne Jackson, which is such a comforting and gentle read for anyone recently bereaved - you might like it too ❤
Thanks for the table diy, I'm planning on doing the same soon as I have a similar table. This has given me a clue on how to go about doing it 😊x
Signs are very comforting and that means the world ❤️
💖✨ that’s a wonderful tribute to landscape your mom‘s grave! I know how much you miss her 💖✨sending you so much love take care XOXO
Love the thrifting finds, and the garden message from your Mom for you. ❤
If you decide not to paint the chair, you could sand, then use a paint brush to apply bleach.
Alan Titchmarsh is the best❤ what a great set of books! I loved watching him when I was younger and his garden designs
Your table will look fab again can’t wait to see it when it’s finished and your chair. Love the flower arrangement. ❤
Love the garden sign, def a nod/wink from your mum ❤
Those Alan Titmarsh books are brilliant picked them up too in second hand shop great lil bargain. Such a lovely thought the sign for your Mam ❤
Your cats have grown up so fast they are gorgeous 😸
Bless you. You’re a joy to listen to, it’s a great thing to share your tips and so sorry for your loss. ❤
Aw thanks for your kind words x
Love the vlog.
I just love to see your cats playing you up.lol
It brought a tear to my eye, when you spoke about your mother.
Take care.
I wish every happiness for you.x
You were meant to find the garden sign with your mam’s name. So perfect Catherine. 💝🦩
So special ❤️
You were already thinking of tenderly caring for your mums grave . You are such a sweet soul . Tfs
Signs like that are a huge comfort that’s for sure ❤️
So good to see your beautiful smiley face 💕 sending you hugs and love x
Your table looks good sanded. Love your new chair
Those flowers in the walled garden are beautiful
You were destined to go there and find a plaque with your mums name on it bless you your mum will be forever with you in your heart
Happy planting for your mum
Nicely done, Thanks for inspiring us
Hi Catherine, love you vlog tonight!
I love your table and the thrift shopping!! So many things!!❤
Hope your keeping well
That’s very nice and you’ve made the most of the time too ❤️
Your viewers are all so concerned for you Catherine.
Such a wonderful thing to do on your mom’s grave. She’ll be dancing in heaven by the Soring!!! Great job on the table!!
Lovely video, Catherine, I really enjoyed thrifting 'with' you! Isn't it funny that us thrifters can even find joy vicariously 😂 x
Absolutely 😍 we love a bargain!!
Sweet girl, it’s your Mum. You can plant. We planted a rose bush as the top of my father-in-law years ago. ❤
I have a Craftsman orbital sander. I love it! They also make a detail sander. It's shaped like a triangle, so the tip is good for small areas. Both sanders are available in battery and corded versions.
I am so pleased that you found the garden sign. It is perfect! Laurie
What a beautiful video! My favorite thrift is anywhere with my friends. We are actually taking a thrift trip next week for a few days. Greetings from Wind Lake, WI USA.
Ooh this thrift trip sounds amazing 😍 so great that you can enjoy that together!! Have a great time ❤️
I couldn’t help grinning with you Catherine when you said you were looking at the soil thinking 🤔 “Mulch” 😆 lovely plaque you found , was meant to be, my Grandma’s name was Frances, I never got to meet her she passed 2yrs before I was born, but apparently we were very similar and would of got on like a house on fire 😊 Bonn is a true rascal!
What a great deal you got on those thrifted items😊💕 the beautiful gardens are so peaceful to walk around and enjoy. Poor little Ban xx😻
"Frances", what a lovely name. A flower garden where she is resting will be beautiful. Little steps, dear friend.
Oh my god Catherine I laughed so hard when you were talking about checking out the soil at your Mums plot. Nothing morbid about that at all, getting on with the business of life is healthy. Take care, Gabby
Love the colour of the table brings in depth 😅as mc Kenna would say. Heavenly message from your mam with the sign I think Catherine ❤
You seem to find all the pretty gardens to walk through. Lucky you!
Very lucky to have such beautiful spots around me ❤️
