Colourful, chic and characterful, creative renter Katherine talks about her love of collecting art and shows us her Portuguese-inspired downstairs toilet where she applied 420 vinyl stickers to the wall tiles! Plus, she shares some useful tips on storage solutions if you’re renting and using tapestries to transform bland walls.

If you do, do every other tile not every one.
A wonderful home filled wth interesting art and colour. A mile away from the awful grey interiors one sees in Australian homes, especially the new ones. It’s almost as if people are afraid of colour. I have pictures and paintings and framed photos in my loo and a really saucy postcard which shows a cat lying over the fish bowl and a goldfish giving him a nice time. Strangely, no one has ever commented on it!!!!
I've watched hundreds of home tours and as on the Homeworthy channel this one always stands out as one of the very best
Brava Katherine. I will never understand why people don't feel like making your rental property a home is worth it. You've done an outstanding job. So much of what you done can be taken with you in principle and the rest that can't is worth the joy it brings. I don't agree that you are wasteful with your money, you are so open about how strategic you've had to be. A beautiful result 💛💛💛
I personally wouldnt put money into a rental, unless I'm getting a discount off rent. I wouldn't put my money into something that's not mine

Even if I didn't like her home (BUT I DO!) I could listen to Katherine talk about it for hours. Or about anything, really. One of the best, calm, modulated voices around.

Room by room yes it's lovely and I like the colours, but overall there's a lack of harmony and a feeling of mess..just my opinion of course. The lady did a lot of good things to improve her rental home though, that's the positive conclusion
