I absolutely love her quirkiness and warm personality. The garden and home express her true sense of self and confidence in her choices on purpose ... that comes with wisdom and maturity. Bravo
Oh my goodness, what a wonderfully delightful personality she has! She was an absolute pleasure to watch and listen to. And I love her philosophy on curating a home, which she has done in such stunning fashion. I will be rewatching this over and over to listen to all her advice about flowers and gardens. Thank you so much for this tour!!
I say this a lot but this is my all time favourite! I have been thinking about removing some of my artwork and gallery walls but I love how she said "just hang what you want"! YES!
Yes!!! My thoughts, exactly! Found myself smiling throughout by her fun and charming personality. One of the most interesting narrations presented on Homeworthy…so down to earth and authentic. Love this episode…thank you!!!
One of the best Homeworthy episodes. While not British she has the British way of being unpretentious, quietly confident, with a home that's evolved over time so not obviously "decorated," and someone at peace with who she is. Like the Rebecca Vizard video, well worth watching multiple times. Bravo!
Just stopped the video to say what a delight it is watching her, she is very good in front of a camera and so generous with the details. She is very English and a bit American. With that name I thought she would be an off putting jolly hockey sticks, being American saves her. She is talking garden and art from start. I am enjoying this. So the underlay on table is called a silence cloth. I have heard it called a silencer, also called a non slip or a Molten. For obvious reasons.
Love the home and family history of how she ended up here raising 4 children. The use of color and art is so fun. The garden is a peaceful destination. But that amazing mix of pattern and color and ceramics and flowers and glasses... on the tablescape is absolutely gorgeous!!!
When I started housekeeping I had to be eclectic because there wasn’t money to buy new. As the years rolled on I realized it WAS my style. It’s your home! Do what you like!
I agree, your home is your home, not a perfect designer's home in a magazine, so you can put whatever you want. If it makes you happy, fine. I just think about the dust and how much time you need to clean all that up....anyway....love the garden!!!
I think, this is one of the more long videos from Homeworthy. Well worth watching through! Her home is certainly maximalist - but, with so much tasteful layering, colors, and class!
I love when Butter was making the table & offered her philosophy about things not needing to be “perfect” all of the time. We are inundated with so many picture-perfect Instagram scenes and while the sources of such images are the first to say, “this isn’t how it always looks!”, it nonetheless puts a very insidious pressure on people to always perform.
Ok….she is my absolute FAVORITE….so much personality and charm….I want to be her best friend…such fun!!!! Thankyou for showing us your gorgeous home….I just LOVE LOVE LOVE all the color….hugs carolyn from Columbus Georgia……her kitchen is to die for….I want to rip out my cabinets….she just makes everything so pretty and so classy!!!!…… The saying BUTTER MAKES IT SO MUCH BETTER…..is so true….I just want to be just like her!!!!
Well this is my TENTH time watching and I just love her even more every time….we’ll in Georgia we all say BUTTER MAKES IT SO MUCH BETTER…..she really does…such a classy girl…I want to be just like her but I am too old….I am 71 but still work in my garden every day…..she is my hero…love her to pieces. Hugs carolyn from Columbus Georgia
I forgot to ask you…how many hours do you have to pull up those NASTY ugly weeds…I spent hours and hours pulling up weeds..I am71 and it is KILLING my crooked back please share your secrets…Thankyou darling hugs carolyn
Mrs. Butter Wakefield is just like her name’s a home filled with butter field of joyful items that are meaningful to herself and to those people like me that admired quality things and sentimental things. I’m not too maximalist but like and enjoy watching homes that remind me of my grandmothers home designs in the Caribbean and the richest of her designs is a pallet for those of us who are in love with home designs. Some people cannot understand that designers tend to collect extraordinary items for their homes in multiple ways and when people such as Mrs.Butter who has the fortunate to have worked in the top stores how could she not impact and pack her home with item that are meaningful. Kudos to her. Thank you also for HomeWorthy for showcasing this American Maximalist designer.
I am kind of a warm minimalist. My home is uncluttered, mostly neutral but w some orange shell fabric and blue and white stripped dining chair covers. The walls are bare save for a few Chinese scrolls. Few things match but they all work..some are expensive and some are yard sale finds. Like Monet, "I must have flowers, always, always. I enjoyed seeing her maximalist home and she was lovely...but I could never live there!
The entire time, I felt I was watching Emma Thompson. Something about the mouth. But also gesticulation. As regards the house, I think I could just sit there for hours taking it all in. VERY layered, very cozy, very interesting. Lovely.
Oh what a treat! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Thank you so so so so very mich for shining the light on this fabulous woman and her absolutely fabulous house & garden! Will watch this one on repeat!
I have been patiently waiting for this gem to go on air and am absolutel, utterly delighted to have been allowed a precious glimpse into the fabulous world of Butter Wakefield. I adooooooore her style, her sensibility, her design approach both in the house and the fabulous garden. Also: lets talk about her quirky outfit and jewellery which is so befitting and authentic. I am a huge fan of her and her work. Thank you HOMEWORTHY for sharing this wonderful woman and her wonderful world with us!
I've watched numerous Home worthy episodes and this home is by far my favourite . Absolutely love it. It's similar to my kitchen but a thousand times nicer❤. We even have the same flowers in the garden. Love the quirky aesthetic, the colours and every surface is a dream with the beautiful plates and ornaments. Adorable ❤
Another home so gorgeous and so relatable. I love palaces, castles, cottages, and all sized apartments (especially under 2000 square feet). And my name is Alisa and I love it.
"I like collecting artworks from artists that are alive and well." What a wonderful example of how art should be collected and how it can find a place in every home. So good!
She is like a ray of light that can not be contained but leads you into the energy of beauty itself. Great sense of self, of color and design. But most importantly, she appreciates the beauty others create. Very beautiful experience visiting this home!
I am so delighted to see Butter Wakefield's home. I have been enjoying the few times that I have seen her on various videos. She is so talented and inspiring. Thanks for including her❤
One of the easiest hostesses to listen to! Her name - Butter!! Charming… very herself(no pretense) . Adore her layered maximalist home! The colors she uses wow me!
7:22am USA I watched Butter last night also. The house is my favorite and Butter is the best host. She is interesting and then she adds extra interest by setting her table and teaching how to prepare flowers so they last after cutting. There is so much detail. ❤
I LOVE HER MAXIMALIST, HER COLOR COMBINATION, THE COZYNESS!! A lady with a big personality and a great sense of beauty. I wish she was my neighbour, I´m sure we could have a lot of interesting chats. I feel I can live very happily in that house.
The prettiest table setting I've ever seen. Beautiful plates, candles, flowers....just perfect. Thank you, Butter, for teaching us how to start a wildflower meadow - exactly what I plan to create.🎉
I love Butter's style and attitude to making the absolute most of the space you have. So many beautiful things to delight the eye in the house and the senses in the garden.
More is more work. Just imagine someone's tea, red wine, or gravy seeping through all those layers of tablecloths. More clutter collects more dust so everyone can cosily cough through the winters.
@@l.anthony1 I was actually thinking that it must be an awful lot of effort to keep this place clean. I love the decor, but I would hate cleaning it :D
"Layered" is right, Butter, resulting in a lot of glow and texture - a remarkable and intimate "garden" reproduced interiorly, in the man-made. There's beautiful "light "in this place - something independent, vibrant , relishing the ancient , asserting the positive. Wonderful place.
Thoroughly delightful, from her sparkling personality to her vivid tablescape. All in keeping with her incredible min town garden. A true delight to watch.
What an exquisite home. It's magical and she's beyond charming. I could listen to her talk for hours. Can we please, please, please see the conservatory in the future? More of Butter and her lovely home pretty please.
I absolutely adore all her collections but I cannot imagine keeping everything dust free…or worse, grease free for the many things over the stove. Everything looks pristine here!
I love this house but as a very casual housekeeper and maximalist my house is coated in dust, cat hair and spiderwebs. I hate the cleaning bit but love this house!
This was one of my favorite episodes. Butter was such a great tour guide of her home and garden. The fabric choices were amazing and her layering techniques for the table and elsewhere were inspirational.
🌿💗 Homes ARE really reflections of the owners. I absolutely love it when I adore the decor and choices just as much as the dweller. The congruency is so pleasant to watch. She is the epitome of experiencing in the real world, one’s personality. 💗🌿
Again thank you Homeworthy and to Ms Butter. I was cooking while watching the video (one of ‘my me time’ is to rest with a cup of tea and watch Homeworthy ❤️) so I’d missed a lot but the little I saw was jaw dropping. I felt so at ease knowing how she worked at Christie?!!! And then in an interior design co. wow! She knows ton about art and interior design and wise enough (she really learnt what is art and ID) she created her own world the mirror of her character and soul. Saving this video 🎉
She's lovely, and her house suits her so beautifully. She has personality, charm, class, kindness and beauty. And talent! Thank you, this is a wonderful video
Stunning is the perfect word for this beautiful home!! The color delights the eye in every room!! Butter is so lovely and I am thankful she shared her stylish and cozy decor...loving it all and will have to watch many more times to get it all in...thank you HW!!!!
She is delightful! Wish she had her own show. It kinda made me sad she doesn’t have her husband anymore. There seems to have been a lot of love at one point. Her garden is spectacular and she pronounces so many words with an English accent, truly delightful lady💚🌸
Oh my goodness - your video captived me from the very start. I normally sew, crochet or paint while watching anything... let me tell you that I could not move my eyes away from the screen. Loved every minute of your tour and learned so much. Thank you for sharing your warm demeanour and candidness! You have an amazingly eclectic, interesting, delightful home , garden and personality! Thank you once again 🥰🌿🌷🐝🌸🪴🦋🌻🐞
How wonderful to have a guided tour of Butter Wakefields home and garden it made me feel that my home is beautiful in the English you can have everything in your home colour ,art lamps cushion everything to create a dream home
It was moving kind of slow but I stayed to the end. 😂 And I learned something new! How to condition wildflowers. As a floral designer, we always held them w/disdain, opting for the more cultivated. We regarded them as weed flowers & turned up our noses at the quickly rotted stems & dank water. But trends change & I’m glad to know what to do w/them.
Well, I think her (ex) husband bought it and she’s been in it for 18yrs now. So it’s not a recent purchase. 18yrs ago things were different. But like every where, inflation, economy, paying for everyone else who doesn’t pay into tax’s, paying for immigration etc, etc, etc….Owning a home in most places, including America, is almost completely out of the question. Especially if you are just leaving your parents home or college. Forget it. There’s NO way to afford it. Housing Prices, interest rates, insurance rates, property tax’s are all out of control. Unless you were able to make money over the years and save, or have had a long successful career or happen to have more wealthily parents to help. There’s very little chance the average person will be able own a home. Even with a good paying job. Unless things start to change drastically. Absolutely Stunning , both the house and garden,. The lady is very knowledgeable when it comes to plants with a lovely personality that comes through . ❤ she's a real inspiration.
I love THE KINDNESS OF HER HEART 💖 her love for plant is such an expression of her love for life and beauty. Love love the color and how much attention to detail is expressed in the way she gardens and decorates BEAUTIFUL🤩🤩🤩
I had to watch “Butter’s” home tour a second time. She is so interesting and fun to listen to. I love Butter’s color combinations. The garden with the meadow was inspiring. One of my favorite shows. Thanks for posting this. 🥰
I absolutely loved this one! Not only does she have a beautiful home, she taught us all lessons in gardening and decorating. What a lovely woman. I wish we could be friends! Haha
What a delightful woman, I feel like I’ve had therapy. Surely some tv executive has seen this and so can understand this woman should be brought to the masses on her own lifestyle show! ❤❤❤🎉🎉 bravo !❤🎉🎉
I absolutely love her quirkiness and warm personality. The garden and home express her true sense of self and confidence in her choices on purpose ... that comes with wisdom and maturity. Bravo
I bet her ex thinks differently.

I agree wholeheartedly. Aspirational and inspirational 😊
Love it, so much character and maximalism. A beautiful balance of nature and home treasures. 😅
Absolutely delightful. So much better than a stark monochrome home. Exudes warmth and joy. The human eye sees in colour. ❤
Yes!😊
I say this a lot but this is my all time favourite! I have been thinking about removing some of my artwork and gallery walls but I love how she said "just hang what you want"! YES!

I've loved Butter Wakefield since I watched her on Gardeners World a few years ago. Her garden is everything ❤
She is as bright as a rainbow 🌈, what a lady 💐🌼🌸🌺🌻🪻🌹
Beautiful home. Love all of the colors and floral decor. 32 years is amazingly for 1 homeowner
Oh, I love this! It is timeless, beautiful and looks effortless. Butter, you are style incarnate. Fabulous!
I’d love a weekly video from Butter! She, herself is pure joy!

Sue Jones and Butter show richness & layering ... that truly offer inspiration ... love more like these!

I LOVE her philosophy of decorating,it’s your home……do what you want 💚💙💜
❤️Absolutely Love This❤️
I had to watch “Butter’s” home tour a second time. She is so interesting and fun to listen to. I love Butter’s color combinations. The garden with the meadow was inspiring. One of my favorite shows. Thanks for posting this. 🥰
A joy to watch!
I absolutely loved this one! Not only does she have a beautiful home, she taught us all lessons in gardening and decorating. What a lovely woman. I wish we could be friends! Haha
Good design -- inside and outside -- is clearly her bread and butter.
What a delightful woman, I feel like I’ve had therapy.
Surely some tv executive has seen this and so can understand this woman should be brought to the masses on her own lifestyle show! ❤❤❤🎉🎉 bravo !❤🎉🎉
