Really like the idea of “vibes” movies because there are some movies that are basically art pieces to look at. Suspiria, Love Witch, Annihilation all come to mind.

IMO, The Cell (2000) is another one that's good for the vibes. It's creepy, but also absolutely gorgeous.

When you mentioned circle. YES. I loved Circle so much. It was a movie I got upset, excited, and angry too.
I went on a horror movie marathon and watched the movies I've been reluctant to watch (ex. Midsommar, Hereditary, , The Witch, etc.) Basically, A24 movies. I watched Men last night, and wow, the birthing scene was seriously unsettling. 😳 I loved the beginning of it, but I had no idea what to expect the more I watched it. Would probably watch again 🙃
I absolutely hated Men, especially the ending.

I love these lists! i tend to rewatch movies with similar vibes to each other a lot and finding more movies with these vibes helps broaden my movie taste.
I've been trying to sell people on Contracted for YEARS!!! So, underrated. The ending is chefs kiss!
For a movie that fits multiple moods I'd pick the underrated dystopian movie "Dark City" (1998).

For a movie that mixes feeling trapped and mind-bending, I cannot recommend the movie Coherence enough. SO GOOOOOOD.

Yes! Thank you for mentioning Suspiria 2018. This film is criminally underrated, and deserves to be seen. It creates a truly immersive world, and is a subtextual onion - the more you peel back the layers, the more there is to find beneath. Great to see it getting some love here.
Suspiria is about 20 minutes too long, it have some scary moments, but also have long boring lapses that don't add anything to the story.
@@rubenazul7421 I appreciate the fact that this may not be everyone's cup of tea, and that some may be bored - that's fine and everyone is entitled to their opinion. I emphatically don't agree with it though - the runtime is perfect from my perspective, and all scenes certainly contribute to the whole.

I thought I would just throw in a recommendation for everyone who’s into Kronenberg movies, even though it’s not directed by one of them. I’ve also never seen you talk about it so maybe that’s even a recommendation for you. “The Void” (2016) is a SciFi horror that starts really slow (so don’t give up on it) but the last half an hour or so is so crazy, it’s also a little Lovecraft vibes and if you like “The thing” you’ll love this one as well! Please give it a try, it’s honestly one of my favorite movies of all time.

Funny enough, i just watched Suspiria for the first time yesterday, in an old empty train back home and i can confirm that it was a vibe. I cannot stop thinking about what i saw and even subtle, the soundtrack hasnt left me. A really great movie.
I was the same, it stuck around in my head for weeks, and I couldn't stop thinking about it. I was lucky enough to see it at one of its few cinema screenings, which was a real experience.
Was certainly one of my more impacting watches in a while.
Fractured is genuinely one of my favourite movies, the twist is so good and I really enjoyed it!!

Great recommendations and the idea of basing them of off moods/vibes is great. We often decide what to watch based on our emotional state, so that makes total sense. Also just a side note: that subtle neon green eye Make-Up is amazing! Immediatley bought a green eyeliner to recreate the look :)

I watched antiviral when it came out in 2012, I was probably 11, and I remembered being so baffled and bored by it that I turned it off but I haven't stopped thinking about it since, and had absolutely no idea what it was called. So, thanks for reminding me of the name of this bizarre childhood memory!

- agoraphobia > claustrophobia. Sometimes open spaces or places with lots of people is worse. I know there’s a lot of movies about agoraphobia but not horror movies that I know of.
- love to hate: a movie that you feel passionate about in your dislike for it. Or it’s so bad it’s good
Mood ideas: body horror (when having a body feels gross), creatures/monsters (can't stand to look at human faces today), city horror.
Caves/descending into the ground is a horror setting I always am interested in and would love your recommendations on. From the top of my head I already know of The Descent
, As Above, So Below and some other pretty popular ones but would definitely love to have a list of lesser know movies with that setting

I watched Antiviral last year and asked myself "why would someone want to be sick on purposed"?. Then I remembered the challenge people were doing at the start of the pandemic where people were trying to give themselves covid -_-

My Sick in Bed movie is the V/H/S series. I watched all of them when I had Covid in October (when it happened to be my birthday week)

Suspiria is a great watch, very memorable for sure. Stunning visuals, but also besides horror it has a dramatic "substory" with a somber tone to it. I was very surprised by that.
