    Greetings ~
~ Literally, about a few days after purchasing my 2018 TACO, I removed the back seats, leaving the rear cargo storage areas.
~ This was done out of necessity and for storage of my wheelchair.
~ in the process, working together with a friend, we made a rail system, so that my chair would be placed securely while I was driving and it works great.
~ The system gave me 2 different options for transferring the chair from the TACO and making it much easier (for me) to do with fewer steps.
~ This also makes it easier for those friends, to transfer the chair to/from the TACO, without making it a hassel for them or for them to - "take down" - the chair and learning a new method as its pretty straight-forward.
~ its been about several months since then and its working like a charm without any issues.

Enjoy your videos. I have access cab 2015. Thought I was hearing to much noise behind the driver and passenger seat (used phone app for cab sounds/decibles). Pulled all and used sound deadening material. Found no sound deading material (OEM) behind front seats or rear wall. Sealed all with deadening material (added a bit of wt). Tape used on any open holes that weren't threaded. All threaded bolts in place especially if leads to out side. Improved 2-3 decibels. Still hear a bit of noise (? if I should build a cover below cab that covers the gap between cab and bed....may get rid of lower road noise). I also created a rear deck instead of returning jump seats (which allows access to toyota storage) but gives me two levels of storage with large flat area (good for cooler). Also cut holes in deck for large (34-64 oz) Hydro flasks (to prevent rolling around in back). I do pull the deck on occasion and replace jump seats (half hour conversion with 15 bolts).

No but it's really easy. Just remove the bolts holding the seat to the floor/bracket, then disconnect any airbag plugs beneath the seat. It's easiest to fit through the door opening when the seatback is folded forward as far as it will go.

To be honest they are more closer to 5 to 6k to replace those seats. When we had the fires up here in Northern Ca., we had people that had taken their seats out of their trucks or suv's and van's for one reason or another and had stored them in the garage. When the houses went up in flames the seat where in the garage and the seats went bye bye. What kills me is that Toyota doesn't sell the seats as an whole assembly, we have to piece it together and it adds up. I've had to do several price quotes for insurance company's for the cost of replacement seats and that wasn't fun! Don't let anything happen to those babies!
