@@Tacomaholic I used Noico 80 mil on my roof and behind rear seat pretty happy with it. Amazing how much it killed all that noise with the rain. I will probably do the same on the doors. Next will be the floor which I might not do if the doors help a lot. Really dreading removing everything to get to floor.
I'm running the same stuff. Love it! I've done behind my rear seats, the floor behind the underseat storage bins, and the 4 doors are next. Will eventually do the roof and entire floor too.
@@Tacomaholic Yes, it is great stuff. I have 2008 that I bought new and with less then 90k on it. I used it mainly as a work truck for when I work for CalFire since everyone didn't enjoy the experience as much as me. Noise was always the issue with the love ones. Me I never cared because I always had music blasting. Now I am trying to use it more as my vehicle of choice for family adventures since the Jeep is to small for the bigger kids now. I so want the tech and transmission of a new Tacoma but with the 4.0. Until that happens I am stuck with a gen 2 making it better.
Thank you for taking the time to upload this it’s very well done I have to do the front pair on mine especially because the panel slopes up toward the front above the glass seal and I’m removing and replacing the window tint that the previous owner definitely didn’t have done by a pro
Thanks Tacomaholic. I got a mix match of Kenwood, kicker, and the Subaru tweets. going to be installing them this weekend with the stock deck. This is exactly what I was looking for, not trying to win any stereo competitions, just increase the base quality. keep up the good work and I always look forward to your next videos. FYI, love the secondary air intake video, I did that one too. 3 years in, no problems. 2015 , 2nd gen, v6 taco.
Thank you for this video. Just replaced my 07 with a 2015. Needed to clean some Pepsi or Coke spillage from the speaker section of the door panel. Success today! Thank you. Love the channel and your passion for everything Tacoma.
What seat covers are those or is that factory leather? I have a 2006 in need of some protection. My cloth has torn or wore through in a couple of places.
I watched the speaker install first which was great. This video showed how easy it is to get the panels removed. I have a 2022 and I'm wondering on the removal of mine if its close to the process of yours? We'll see.
While you have the door panel off...any suggestions for putting some lights behind the door lock and window buttons? Would like to see those easier at night. Nothing too bright, obviously. Thanks.
Since you're doing a speaker replacement it is a opportune moment to install a little Dynamat to help reduce the vibrations from your fancy new speakers! Doors tend to rattle a when it gets extra Bassy. Nice removal video dude!
Hello! Hello!! ... do you know anything about the crank manual windows on the Gen2 Taco? had to get an aftermarket driver window (2o11 single cab 4wd) after some vandal broke it... now EveryTime it is Hot and the Sun shines on that driver door the cranking mechanism creaks creaks when rolling window down. it Is obnoxiously Annoying! ... it does Not do this when its cooler out and in the shade. maybe it needs some specialty greasing of the tracks inside of there or i just do not know! thanks tacomaholic!
I may be jumping the gun, but do you know if I'd be able to just swap the stock speakers with 6.5" Kicker CS speakers? No amp or anything else added. Would that be an improvement?
I'll be doing that in my next vid but with Rockford Fosgate speakers. I did a quick test with only swapping one of my rear door 6.5" speakers and was amazed at the difference. Can't wait to hear the entire thing. Stay tuned.
Hey just put some sound deadener looking at your tutorial! But I broke the plastic door fasteners underneath the side view mirrors. You wouldn’t happen to know the part number would you?
Someone mentioned on a previous comment about using keyboard compressed air on that plastic butyl glue....MONEY!!! turn the can upside down and freeze the glue, presto...the plastic comes right off and you can tuck it up in a bundle up by the handle. when finished with sound materials and speaks-goes right back in place!
Remove the 3 white clips from the rear door for that trim piece before you re-install it. THEY WILL get pushed in and YOU WILL lose them. Put them on the trim piece (not the door) and then re-install.
i have an 09 tacoma double cab and i’ve had a problem with the rear door. i have to manually unlock it and lock it. it gets annoying after a while specially when you’re carrying gear. if anyone has had this or knows how to fix lmk! thx. and very informing video!
Well at least you know it's not your key fob then. Check all the wires running from the lock in the door to make sure they aren't damaged. After that the relays that the wires are running to.
You should've had a female model do it for you like in tacotunes videos! Lol that's where I learned how originally. Still great video btw. Also I lost all 3 clips on the driver front when removing the lil triangular piece by the mirror. 🤬 Kuntrykid

This tutorial should help many people, even with other makes and models of cars, as the process is similar. Good job.

Actually a full seat swap! th-cam.com/video/neGUEcuWveI/w-d-xo.html
Oops just checked and I was still running the plain factory seats here.

I bet the process is very similar if not identical.
this was incredibly helpful, THANK YOU. you saved my neighbors having to hear me growling in frustration : )
Ha ha nice! My neighbors have heard just about everything at this point.

Yessir, that's coming soon as well. Curious to see how it sounds without the sound deadening first though.
Love your channel, anything I need to know about upgrades or how to I find it here,ty sir!!!
Thanks for watching!

Greetings! Ugh that sucks. Sadly I don't have any experience with the manual crank windows. Did you replace with OEM parts?
@@Tacomaholic no it was aftermarket glass, emergency from glass shop because it was also raining that night/ morning it was broken in the street

the link for the sound deadning is broken how mucg material will i need for a double cab also? 2014
Here's an updated link: amzn.to/2G8ddW4 ... and the 10 sq ft should be plenty for just the doors.
Oh yeah!!! The Taco is getting some BOOM😀
Lol nothing crazy but should be a HUGE upgrade of the crappy stock speakers.
Now to upgrade the deck with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto 👍🏼
I see you painted your tie downs at the front end of the bed. What did you use to paint those?
Just some Rustoleum rattle can. Here's a link to that specific color though: amzn.to/2NsYQ00

Hey buddy! These white ones? amzn.to/3eKeDSs
Tacomaholic those too lol. But the grey circle shaped ones where you push the middle for the fastener to pop out. I broke two of them getting it out.
@@andrewlee8082 did u end up finding the tabs? I broke mine in the process too
@@monse839 part number is A0016-B2
@@andrewlee8082 thank you!

Thanks Ray! Yeah I'll do an update vid on that soon.
Is that a Mountain Hatch Tailgate or some other brand?
Mobtown Offroad, love it. Here's the vid I did for it: th-cam.com/video/HW--APcneuQ/w-d-xo.html

Just what I needed.
For some reason the driver's side front door harness for the window/lock buttons was a PITA for me to remove. Hopefully yours won't be as bad.
Very informative! Thank you Semper Fi

That is one busy looking truck. Good lord.
Did you find Molley panels to replace your rear door panels?
No I was removing my door panels to do a speaker upgrade and add sound deadening material.
