As a beekeeper, I feel compelled to give some info: Most allergies are from tree pollen, and most of those trees are wind pollinated, not bee pollinated. So bee pollen will not help with most allergies. It might be good for other issues, and of course local honey which is raw and unfiltered is full of interesting stuff which is good for you (although of course it is basically mostly sugar). Honey is naturally anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral. I encourage all to support local honey producers.
Zee, cool! However meanwhile, we all can do a lot to improve the situation for our native bees (which don’t provide honey for us, but do provide vast ecosystem services)! Here’s a few suggestions: Don’t use pesticides; don’t rake up leaves or keep your garden too tidy (provide habitat); leave out a shallow dish filled with water (add stones for landing pads); and plant flowers that are native to your area! This will attract lots of native insects that are just as fascinating as European honeybees. 🙂
Any idea how you naturally immunise yourself from tree pollen then in that case? Do we eat the leaves? I think weed pollen is the one that gets me the most to be honest, that stuff is nasty.
Many allergies are from tree pollen but not all. Bees do collect pollen from some trees that are wind pollinated, oak and maple for instance but not for pine generally. It really depends on where u are and what their early spring pollen sources are. I am also a beekeeper.

I’m hesitant with bee pollen because you don’t really know what plants the pollen is coming from. Bees will take pollen from plants that can be bad or even poisonous for humans. Plus it seems to me like depending on where the bees are, they may be collecting pollen from plants being sprayed with pesticides, and the pollen will be collecting that
@@varvela1 you are right. Beekeepers who don't have enough self grown forage to support their hives have zero control where their honey and pollen comes from and it could easily be contaminated. A lot of bees die because they bring back pesticide residue into the hives on their feet then groom each other and ingest it. I raise my own honey and flowers so I know what I am eating

No. I am a beekeeper and I developed venom allergies to bee stings. You need venom therapy from a good allergy clinic. Look up UPMC Falk clinic in Pittsburgh for their rapid desensitization protocol and see if u can find something similar where u are. Their protocol is excellent. Not all places have the same desensitization programs. This one is really good. I am fine now but I still have an epi pen just in case. Despite the allergy, I was always able to eat or use honey. Venom is different.
@@iss8504 It is possible to be allergic to both venom and honey. But I have only ever met one person who had both - she gets hives with honey and anaphalaxis with stings. Carbs are not your enemy. Our ancestors have consumed bee products for millions of years.
@@RoxyCherryRozy i know 😊but im referring to a keto plan which is about cutting carbs and thats why i'm wondering about the amount of bee pollen allowed while following the ketogenic diet
I have a drop or two of honey daily, in my coffee or my water bottle. Doesn’t seem to affect my Keto eating.

I don't follow a keto diet, and for me personally honey is one of the reasons why. I eat lots of local raw honey and I swear it has been doing nothing but good on my body, and has helped me out a lot.
How much do you consume?
@@markmaxwell4890 Around a tablespoon a day.
What does it help you with?

Thank you for the support!
I've been plant based, mostly raw for over 8 years, but I am considering taking bee pollon for the copper
Take a spoon and put half bee pollen. Spread the bee pollen so it covers the whole spoon. Put a whisper of bee honey over the bee pollen. The honey will hold the pollen together. Put it in your mouth and swallow. Take a cup of your favorite tea and take a sip. The tea will with the mix of pollen and honey. Enjoy your health😁

Thanks 🐝
1-2 heaping tsp a day is considered a therapeutic dose you'll just have to experiment with it it cannot hurt you
If you plan to use Bee 🐝 pollen for allergies, make sure to use “local” raised BP in the area you live!
I just got some today from a farmer selling honey I’m going to use it in my oat meal sprinkle it over my salad and looking for other ways to use it ,thank you .

other things you can do to treat it is fix the gut flora
Raw honey and royal jelly are the best one can get. Good carbs. Can you make a video on ancient wheat (einkorn)? It has less gluten than modern wheat and more nutrients
I've often wondered what Dr. Berg thinks of sprouted grain bread like Ezekiel brand.
@@susannay.3437 I think its great. I've read how our ancestors actually first used ancient wheat bread BEFORE dairy, kind of crazy but its true. Both are good, raw dairy preferable to supermarket pasteurized ones.
Thank you dr berg we are so greatful for you
Glad to help!
How do you know this? The nutrition label doesn't list much of anything. Where is the proof?

A recipe for health. Half tbsp of bee pollen with a whisper of honey covering the bee pollen. Scoop it in your mouth and swallow with a nice cup of pomegranate tea. Yummy 😁
Is it effective for treating fibromyalgia?
Anybody who had some gut reaction after bee pollen? I get really bad pain +- 15 minutes after consuming it...
I’m hesitant with bee pollen because you don’t really know what plants the pollen is coming from. Bees will take pollen from plants that can be bad or even poisonous for humans. Plus it seems to me like depending on where the bees are, they may be collecting pollen from plants being sprayed with pesticides, and the pollen will be collecting that
How much did you took ? You have to start with some granules... And masticate until become liquid in your mouth... Or is unusefull..😉
@@iss8504 thanks for the info! I also have a local source of honey that I really trust, but if I lived in a city I definitely wouldn’t be buying grocery store pollen or ordering it online. Unfortunately you just have no idea what you’re getting.
Every time I consume bee pollen, without fail, I get this odd, very deep discomfort in my stomach. I’ve tried multiple sources and brands. Not a stomach ache, but an uncomfortable feeling deep in my stomach that’s hard to describe. I assume it’s an allergy, but I do fine with raw honey. Any idea what’s going on here?
Bee pollen can be grand and mix in honey
Make a vid on serrapeptase
Dr. Eric Berg are these substances also in good organic honey too?
Is it keto friendly?
Is it keto friendly 🤭 I found out that the g. Index high a little bit?!!
You need 1 teaspoon a day!
Carbs are healthy. Honey and fruits.
@@RoxyCherryRozy fruits and honey are not allowed in keto. Fructose is bad, that's the pathway to fatty liver.

Dr. Berg I’m doing keto OMAD and was wondering if I could/should take bee pollen? I take a lot of your supplements already, nutritional yeast, digestive enzymes, gallbladder formula, sea kelp, vitamin C, estrogen, vitamin D3&K2, cruciferous superfood, wheatgrass powder, electrolytes powder, cod liver oil, friendly bacteria probiotics and adrenal cortisol LOL - so I wasn’t sure it is really necessary🤔

Could you please do a video on Royal Jelly
Serious question, would bee pollin help someone whos allergic to bee stings?
I would seriously avoid this if you are allergic to bee stings or Honey.
Really odd coincidence really. (Just thought I'd mention that as my last comment made it sound like the two were common together, when they aren't).
I tried bee pollen for hayfever but it didn’t work for me - it I ended up reacting to the bee pollen itself, lol. But then this was years ago, I doubt it was organic and I have no idea about the source.
Anon reread the comments. There is important info at the top of comment section.
Interesting video! I didn't know about polen properties, although it's also high in sugar, but I guess the benefits overcome the cons isn't it?
Hu, dr berg, what is the difference between bee pollen and royal jelly? Are those basically the same thing (same benefits and nutrients)? Thank you
Can you do a video about Royal Jelly? Would be interested in finding out the optimal dose.
