After a full day and I mean literally 12 hours of replacing map sensors, iac valves, cleaning, scratching my head I found your video if you see this ill send you 20 bucks thank man! Pm me or something I owe you a beer
i changed the IAC valve the air intake hose.took the throttle body out sprayed it frobt and back.and i still have the same problem only now it doesnt rev up and down as crazy.it seemes like it slowed down a bit
its not hard at all sounds difficult but its 2 nuts 2 bolts for throttle body then disconect the air intake and the 2 screws that hold the IACV onto the throttle body.
My Honda is normally idling at 8000 rpm’s it drops to 5/6000 then back to 8 when I am sitting still and not driving it. Was your vehicle recving high (past 8000) and then back to 8000 or was it like mine? Thanks, Mark
I have no idea how high it was getting. The tach quit years before this problem occurred. It could tell it was pretty high. It was also very rhythmic - like a sine wave.
Thanks for the complete description as I noticed my gasket is also sticking out to much. I will pull it part and flip it. Thanks again!
In the end, i also had to put a Honda IAC valve back on to get it to run right.
Ty for sharing the info! Greatly appreciated! 👍👊
