I just ordered the Snodes and also ordered 2.5 and 1.25 pound PlateMates, so that should give them 2.5 pound increments (more than the Nuobells) and alleviate that issue. Very excited to start using them after having the original Bowflex adjustable dumbbells for close to 20 years.
All cast iron makes a lot more sense to go with for durability, but the 5lb increment is a solid benefit. Seems like only time will tell which of these holds up better. 🤔
@@2n1ce of course. But as you said, these cast iron’s are more durable and will last much longer. You can always just do more reps in the meantime. I’m also struggling to make a decision between these two. The one thing I hate about the Snode is how massive the stand is for this thing, don’t have that much space to work with lol
out of both dumbells, which one feels more sturdy/makes less noise when moving it about. It seems like snode sounds better and doesnt make any noise in the video.
I'm way more careful with the nuobells than I am with the snodes, but they "sound" similar. If you lift heavier (50lbs+) go with the snodes. If you're looking to replace a bunch of smaller weights, go with the nuobells.
Yeah there’s a little bit of give for sure. Don’t feel that with the snodes at all. Might just be preference though and may never actually end up being an issue.

That’s awesome, solid choice. Let me know how you like them.

You can always buy 2.5 lb magnetic attachments for the sides of the dumbbells
@@clayhanseth1227 True, but that adds to the cost.

They’re really not that much bigger than the actual dumbbells if that helps.
@clayhanseth1227 I have nuobells I'd get snode dropped one handle was screwed up

everytime i look at these reviews people say nuobell is faster but Snode he changed weight way faster.
The snode is pretty fast, but they go up in 10lb increments vs 5lb increments of the nuobell.
Powerblock polyurethanes
Nuobell all day long
Both solid dumbbells.
Biggest issue with that twisting handle is that you can feel it twist stories when pressing heavier weight. Never a good feeling

Nuobells have so much small plastic pieces inside 1 small broken piece THERE WORTHLESS. buy snode
I haven't had any issues with my nuobells but like I said in a previous comment, I'm much less careful with the snodes.
Nuobells have replacement parts. Snodes don’t have any replacements if the plates crack. Just fyi
They brake after you drop them once. Luckily snodes never brake.
Interesting. Have you reached out to snode to confirm?
Not sure if they break so easily, but it does seem like you need to be more careful with them.
