If you do a color conversion for a Fern Gully style of Needles Dance, count me in! Love that pattern but the colors are not what I expected after seeing you show the cover photo. Guess I'll just have to get that pattern now, lol. Thanks for showing all your kits. It was so fun to watch.
Lacy and laddy on the dark brown YES I mean they are creepy and on that fabric YEPPER. Love the video. I also think when flosstubers say omg I have all this to talk about we should get a before and after shot of all the stuff that they went though and talked about. I could just imagine how physically draining it could be to do a regular flosstube update but, to do a wip or stash parade wow. Have a great weekend.

You can take your patterns to a copy center and get them copied, to use as your working copy.

I love kitting things up, there’s that perfection of the fabric and all the floss and the anticipation (and maybe some perfectionism) of starting.
Love your eye for colour and fabric, also nothing wrong with making things brighter. I am eager for this years Spring Fling to get released.
I’ve been holding back on Birdmen because of fabric…I’m thinking of trying to dye something in a sort of terracotta colourway.
I’ve got quite a few pattern booklets from destashes that are probably my age or older and I like having them because it reminds me of older relatives homes.

I went to the library and made color working copies. I took a picture, emailed the picture to myself, then printed them from their computer. They charged me 50 cents a page. Office Depot or some other copy places let you make a working copy.

I just got back from STITCH-CON weekend A and I got to meet all your friends. They were at the table next to us. They were laughing and have a great time. I went over and introduced my self. I watch most of them. And Alexis I meet last year. You should have gone so much to do so much to buy and so many people to meet. I gave them all purse hanger to hang your floss rings off the table they thought it was genius I hope to meet you one day as well.

I bought “The Birdmen Cometh” right after seeing Amanda Mae of Ardith Designs stitching it. I love all the quirky designs. I couldn’t find a red fabric I liked and wound up dying my own, it turned out perfect. I was stitching on it while I watched ur flosstube. I love all ur projects and your flosstubes are so good! Have fun at the beach!
Have you thought about doing a water w/ small amount of bleach bath for the Ashes to Ashes to lighten the color? It seems like a great fabric. Maybe test what that would look like on a corner....I am new to your videos and really appreciate your floss tube while I stitch. Thanks!

I go to my local fedex store. They have great copiers and scanners. I’ve even managed to scan an upload many paper patterns into mark up. One pattern didn’t work well in Mark-Up so I uploaded the pdf into goodnotes. You can mark off as you go on that. It doesn’t have the nifty fund symbol feature but you can “highlight” and mark off as you go. I can’t remember if I had to pay for good notes or not. If I did the cost was minimal. Just a suggestion.
You can never have too many quakers. Modern Folk Embroidery has so many that I want to stitch.
I've always wanted to stitch Away We Ride, but convert it to a cottage witch vibe. I'm not good at converting thread colors though 😥

I have had the Witches Academy kitted for a while, so whenever you find your fabric you want to use lmk b/c I am always ready for a start a long. I have been meaning to start this one for a hot minute and it was on my Startgo WIPGO board in March but I didn't get to it. I dyed my own fabric for it b/c Fox and Rabbit just isn't in my budget usually :)
same here! It’s hard to get a hold of Fox and Rabbit, plus I often don’t have it in the budget. I love pulling from stash, but if my fabric doesn’t work I may dye my own 🥰

Hi Cameron! The winter garden pattern is so pretty, I don't think I have seen it before. The colors in it really speak to me! Maybe you can take Laddie an Lacey to a Staples or some local copy shop? I would imagine they could scan and print a working copy of the patterns for a decent price! I was wondering if/how you keep track of your stash of floss with them dispersed through kits. Do you have a system so that you don't double buy, especially for DMC?
I used to use an app to keep track of my DMC however it was hard to keep it updated. For bigger projects that I know I’ll be working on for a while, I have bags labeled with a range of DMC numbers for my extra skeins. So, I go through those first and then whatever I don’t have, I buy. It’s a more physical system, but I’d like to one day digitize it in Notion 😊
There are scanner apps for phones, there's a scanner built into my phone camera. What about mixing in a glow in the dark thread into Lacey and Laddie since they look so ghosty?

For your Laddie and Lacy situation, I've heard of people laminating their patterns or putting them in a plastic sleeve so they can use dry erase markers to track progress and such. That might be an option

I am working on Witch Training Academy and love love love it. I do think the fabric you have chosen is going to work out fine. Really. The called for fabric is a lot darker than in the photo. FYI I got my Seaweed from Traditional Stitches. They have all kinds of sizes.

Came to say the same thing. I think your grey will look great. I have both seaweed and fossil and they have a really similar depth of colour- am happy to take a side by side photo if you want. Love your intended projects especially that pink floral fox and rabbit sampler. You definitely need to brighten up the Needles Dance colours. I would never have guessed at those shades.

What I do when I have an old pattern that I don’t want to mark on, but is a paper pattern. Is I take a picture with my phone then I use GoodNotes and highlight the pattern with that.
So many great patterns! I'm planning on starting The Birdmen Cometh on the Summer Solstice. The pattern is giving me spicy summer vibes (#hotbirdsummer amirite?!) so I thought it would make a good summer start :D I plan to stitch this entirely in DMC - I'm curious to see how it'll turn out. It looks like there are a couple blends that I'm curious to see play out. If you find a good fabric you should join me 🪶🤘

For Laddie and Lacey why don't you digitize them into a program like the winstich (you can use the free demo) or floss cross and then you can convert it to a pdf (to print out and mark) or use it on pattern keeper or something? I do that all the time with paper patterns I don't want to mark up.

Do you have the Microsoft Office app? That's what I use to scan things, then I send them to myself in pdf form. You could use that for Laddie and Lacey.

Sometimes I just like to look thru all my patterns, then touch all my fabrics, and rearrange all my floss, then just put it all away. 🤷♀️ Just because I can I guess?
