Same. Had it for like 6 months and im already having really bad stick drift. Insane if you think about the price tag. Really regret my purchase at this point

That tiny stick to engage the button under the trigger has to be a joke, lol! 9 months after getting mine it broke just like what you showed here. Thank you, you're video was hugely helpful!

Man I had the same issue with my trigger after only 2 months. Terrible design. I decided to fix it myself following your video instead of sending it to Scuf with the warranty. I bet my epoxy will last longer than their cheap replacement😂 Thank you sir

Hey! My R2 Trigger broke after 6 and half Months, completely dead while I was shooting on Apex Legends (P2020 / Mozambique fast shot kill this trigger).
Warranty on broken trigger is only 6 Months so they asked me 75€ for a repair (they send you a new one).
The new one lasted 2 months, and now R2 is broke again.
I play very light.. like max 2h a day. Thanks for the Video! Next time I won't send it back for a crazy load of money!!

I have EXACTLY the same issue as you. L2 trigger with the same crack. I also realized why the L2 was affected but not the R2. The L2 plastic hammer that hits the momentary button is on the outer side of the controller. R2 is on the inner side (battery side). Squeezing down on the trigger puts more stress on the outer sides just by the nature of how the controller is held. I think a long-term solution would be mirrored design to orient the hammer (the broken plastic part) on the inner side for both triggers. Not sure if Scuf would use a metal spring. Cost and time would increase. Just update the plastic hammer to have a trust under the arch. Boom, easy peezy.
Btw, I just fixed mine, but in a different way. Gorilla super glued the crack to hold it in place. Then plastic welded a trust under the hammer's arch. Took 5 mins.
I think you are correct with the asymetrical design. I've done alot of these repairs and most of them are R2 where they are pressed thousands of times during a long gaming session time and time again. I think just having the plastic beefed up would correct the issue. Really easy to ammend the mound.
@@UberMicroRepairs update: mine broke again. Plastic is plastic and welding existing one surely affected the integrity of its original strength. Going Metal like you. In the meantime, bought myself a PS Edge controller and I have to say that it’s pretty bad ass compared to my Reflex FPS

good video but you really don't need to de-solder anything, you can remove the trigger module by pulling the small ribbon cable and save yourself the hassle of soldering.
I used to use scuff products when I was on PS4. They break often and are expensive. I moved on to the Astro Controller then to the Xbox series 2 after going PC.

My L2 just went. So pissed. I had the Scuf Impact for 5 years no problems.
I meet the same problem after 3 months usage… I’m in China so it’s inconvenient to mail it back to the state for maintenance insurance..

Dude. I spent too much money on the reflex fps pro and yesterday after only a few months the R2 instant trigger has stopped functioning properly. It's the same problem... I'm so disappointed in scuf. They've printed this little 5 cent part and charged me 50 dollars for "instant triggers." Yeah, instantly breakable triggers. I don't know how to use a solder iron, otherwise I'd already have disassembled it. I don't know if there's a way you could help me, I live in the Eastern US. I'm not sure what to do. I might have to acquiring a soldering iron and teach myself a new skill. Either way this is a huge pain in my ass and I spent about $430 for this controller kit. I'm ashamed of myself.

Hi, Sorry to hear the issue. Maybe check the dead zones in the game... Go into the options and default all controll options? Let me know if there is any difference.

Nice video! I think this also happened with mine. Cant use the trigger on my FPS anymore. The controller is about 7 months old and wasnt used too much. My boyfriends controller (Reflex) also had an issue with the trigger he was able to fix it quite easy after Scuff denied warranty because his is also about 7 months. These were our first and last scuf controllers!! Were so disappointed. Is there a away to generate as much attention as possible to get scuf to move??

@@UberMicroRepairs I have instant triggers on my reflex, had it for about 8 months. Bought it for like $300+, about 3 months in R2 stopped working, got a free repair got it back in a week or so. Few months go by right before thanksgiving my L2 stopped working. I asked for a refund but they said it was passed the date yadda yadda yadda. Sent it back to them and i asked for just the basic triggers to be put back in, they said no problem. Just got it back about 3 days ago and now my left analog stick drifts both left and right, as long as the right. This thing is not worth the money let me tell ya.
can you pull the pin out to remove this part of that part of the trigger without removing the entire trigger?

The plastic arm that clicks the button snapped completely off of my scuf reflex fps. Would you suggest super or hot glue for a quick fix?
Just had the same issue with my scuf, same exact model, on the L2 button. Never had these issues with stock controllers...what the hell..
SCUF re-house stock controllers and add these functions... It's the SUCF parts that fail!

I'm sure there is. This is the way I do it. Thing is SCUF won't sell the parts so some creativity is needed.

Sweet video bud! That one appears to be a different version than mine.. i have an 020 and the yellow wire from the adaptive trigger assembly came disconnected.. not sure what it is for?? Do i need it for L1 and L2?

How much for audio port and stick drift repairs?
I spent 250 😅 on a. Impact. With mouse triggers. Within a few months, the r1 was acting up. 😂 I didn't even press r1 that much as I used the r2 to shoot. Theres stick drift on the right thumb. I can easily remove them but the stick themselves wont fix the issue. Now the l2 is acting up. I have to hard pressed it move/force to the left or right to get it to work. Anyone knows if i can get the mouse triggers online since i know scuff wont sell me the parts.

I have a 2.3k ohms Stick, but will it work with 2.3k ohms?
2.3k will always work, however it will give incorrect end travle. If you are a compeatative gamer you will notice the differance. We always put in the correct resistance as burned into firmware by factory.

If you buy a stock Xbox, PS4, PS5, SCUF. Battle Beaver, AIM or almost any controller with a carbon track resistor potentiomiter (pot/s) you maybe subject to "stick drift" at some point in the devices life. None of the companys seeamingly do ANYTING to proactivly mitigate the stick drift issue. You will / may get it with any controller you buy. It is a inherent issue with the fundimental design of the analog module! We at Uber Micro manipulate the pots so the premature wear is reduced. We cannot gaurentee it will never happen just offer a longevity option (not a gaurenetee by any means) with any analog modues we replace, but a best effort is made to reduce the "stick drift". All controllers are classed a consumible item by the manufature. Any stock factory fresh (or manipulated / modified one) controller
WILL wear out at some point. How they wear out is down to hundreds of factors. We try to reduce that as best as we can. This all depends on the end user treatment.

Wait how did u calibrated the sticks what part inside the potentiometer did u moved to get the dot to the center. I’m having the issue of my right stick moving heavy to the left side I already changed the potentiometer to a 2.3ohm one which is the required for ps5 controllers

so what are you doing with the tweezers with the sticks with the software up? my sons scuf has its left stick input drifts to hard left without any input. thinking something is messed with the mechanical part but trying not to have to replace the sticks yet. wondering if there is a way to fix that prior to replacing them. it was only 3 months old when this started but he was at college and now warranty has expired.
What’s your price to send in my reflex fps and fully replace the left trigger, I’d prefer the arm that hits the mouse clicker to be metal, my plastic one didn’t just bend, it fully tore apart so I am in need of a new trigger. Thank you

Hey I thinking about buying the scuf ps5 fps anyone know if it's good. My history with elite controllers is 3 xbox elite 2 all of them had bamper issues and the main reasons I want to switch is because the Xbox elite pull rate is very do anyone know if u can fill the overclock plz write u r thoughts on the scuf and if u feel or have an overclock controller (I would still like to get the Xbox elite)
The SCUF controllers use bog standard PS4 / PS5 main boards so if you are using them on a PC with DS4Windows you can up rate the polling. I don't think you can do that on M$ controllers. IMO, No matter what controller you go for it's a lottery weather you will be unfortunate to get stick drift / bumper issues. In my experience of repairing SCUF controllers on a daily basis. I would hard pass on them 100% (polished turds look in the SCUF sub reddit for horror stories!!!) Go with a company that is local to you because stick drift issue is bad and a warranty claim may be needed. With the way we calibrate the sticks and years of experience we do add "a little" secret sauce to the repair to give you longevity. However, controllers are considered and "consumable" item. They will and do wear out! I would recommend companies like Battle Beaver or AIM for some nice neat mob work. However they do not mitigate stick drift.

El software de prueba (probador de controlador de Windows) no es lo suficientemente bueno para ver si la calibración es correcta. En mi opinión, no es una buena reparación. Solo reemplazando las ollas en lugar de reemplazar todo el módulo analógico. ¡La prueba no estuvo bien!
SCUF controllers are junk these days I paid 300 dollars for that exact controller and mine done the same thing and the R3 button acts up they only offer a 60 day warranty which is a joke lol

Hello I figured you would be the perfect person to reach out to about my reflex pro issue. Currently when I press the left stick with any serious amount of thumb pressure it does my right stick action. For example, I will be trying to sprint in the game and it will make me crouch which is on my right stick. This has been frustrating since I already sent the controller back once
That is a weird one. Only thing I can think of is the PCB is tilting when pressing the left stick. Or there is someting shorting out with the pressure. I'm afraid I'd need to look at it to help further.

Is it possible to install hall effect thumbsticks on a ps5 controller?
Not really without designing a new PCB. That only analogs that use that are the new Steam Deck analogs. But trying to interface them would be difficult.
Sent mine back twice already with broken fps triggers. An insane amount of people r having this issue. I asked them to switch them out for regular haptic. Weel see what they say

My mic isn’t working anymore 🤦♂️ and when I press L1 or L2 the controller disconnects. Idk if I have A faulty L1 or L2 ribbon. I’ve put the extremerate mods onto my stock controller so idk how to break it down but I’m scared to try with the skuf.

Hey I have a problem with my scuff reflex for ps5. The headphone Jack (the black piece that your 3.5mm jack cable inserts into) is loose and shifts around causing me to not be able to plug my mic in. I tried taking it to a shop to replace that piece but they said scuffs is different and it’s connected to the motherboard. Would I have to send it all the way back to scuff to replace? I’m not trying to wait 😭
SCUF use standard xbox / Sony controllers.. So the audio Jack's are exactly the same.

Just repaired one of these due to a non-working trigger, luckily it was an improperly installed flex cable that came loose.

Sounds like bad stick drift TBH. Can also effect triggers sometimes.
My 3 pence if I can, please:
1. I had a scuff, repaired the analogue for the customer and after replacing, I've been told that it's useless for this customer. The reaction is different than was originally. I've used 10k potentiometers, the original one was as well 10k. So, the only difference was in the joysticks.
2. Any type of gluing of the plastic where super glue is not working, we can use a baking soda + super glue. This is creating really hard and well made connection. There's plenty of tutorials on the YT.
I don't recall if I've got that SCUF repair on my YT channel, too many videos :), sorry. But, this was a PRO player using only wired connection and I can't verify if he was talking truth cause he meant to bring it, and never did.
Super glue and backing soda is a good method but not with ABS plactic. ABS is a greasy plastic and requirs acetone or MEK (methyl ethyl ketone) for plastic welding. I only used super glue to keep the part inplace while I repaird it, a place holder if you will. I used epoxy and a spring metal backing with hot glue as a rubber buffer. I have since though of many more methods of attempting this repair all of wich have longivity in mind for the customer. More videos will follow. 3D printed parts ect...
@@UberMicroRepairs thank you :), I never had a problem with ABS, maybe I was lucky with PVC, or other type. :) But yes, other methods like 3d printing are many times good as well. Only if have an opportunity to design and have printer.
Just by the way, I bought a 4k resin printer several months ago and till date I did not learn how to design on my own :D. Never have time to do it, probably after the new year will go back to learning :). So, hope you'll have some videos on it as well :).

I took mine apart and everything looks fine on the inside I fixed my drift stick by replacing one of the things that causes it but know my L2 and L1 buttons don’t respond at all they feel normal but just don’t work at all.Do you know anyway I can fix this?
Mine just broke last night…7 months after purchase. I love the feel of the controller because I have large hands but this is just getting to feel like a money grab at this point. Now with Corsair involved it might get worse.
Hey so my scuf reflex fps left trigger still clicks but it is not responsive what should i do?
Could be the switch going faulty or a wire coming adrift.
I fixed it the left trigger plug in was disconnected from the motherboard on the controller
