But I do love that dynamic between characters in fiction stories. Two rivals hellbent (or one of them) on killing each other, that they'll ally with each other if it means they'll get to kill each other in the end.
lmfao, I think that since his death in mc7, Soldats didn't exist yet, or in MC8-9 the only ones involved with them were Sanford anf Deimos, nice detail
either he's mocking the one eye or he's flexing on the other 1337 agent, he just flipped his friend off his feet and air juggled him with 9mm. The point is telling the 1337 to look at what he did to his homie outta spite or intimidation.
The double entendre of the words ‘I’ll keep bringing them back’ with the sound of Deimos being killed is incredible. It’s been not even a second since Doc revived one operative, and he’s already on his way to the next.
@@trainman5675No lie? I know there's a deep lore and all, but the sheer amount of stuff this fandom deduced (I'm like 80 percent sure you're referring to the Arena mode of Project Nexus) from what amounts to blink-and-you'll-miss-it moments is at once touching and scary. And I just come here for the ruthless bloodshed.
@plasmusdogmatic4348 I wish I was kidding! In the arena mode of the project nexus steam game. The player character is a character from..one of the first ever madness animations (marshmallow madness) who has to keep retelling there story to satiate reality. And doc is likely one of the few who even knows this is happening
You can see on Doc's terminal that it mentions "6" and "7" as being two "Divergent" or "Dissonant" aspects of the most recent Hank S-3LF. The fact that only one of these divergent halves is Recovered by Deimos may explain MAG Hank's initial mental stuntedness even though his physical body is fully intact. It seems that upon gaining possession of the Keystone Fragment the integrity of Hank's S-3LF is restored and he fully regains his mental faculties. Hank's S-3LF may have split due to him refusing to be revived by Tricky at the beginning of Consternation, so the PID caused an imperfect resurrection.
The 7 hank might be PN hank actually, another commenter explains it better than me tbh, but basically the 7 hank has the same injuries as the "punished" hank outfit
Wait that’s perfect It’d make sense, considering S3LFs are stated to be Personality facets anyway, and by the fact that MC6 and MC7 hank aren’t all that different, they just display themselves a little differently. (Their illusion to the "Do what comes natural - KILL- DIE" is pretty noteworthy imo. I feel like they aren’t two separate people, but really just two sides of the same coin…or er, two sides of whatever object has 4 sides.)
I love how hanks first instinct when he’s reborn is to immediately go back to committing mass genocide. but then again, gotta respect a man with a mission.
10:28 Is honestly my favourite example of their difference in body language and character. MC6 Hank is pointing to Tricky, basically saying _”When I’m done with this one you’re next bitch.”_ While MC7 Hank is trembling with anger towards Tricky, completely laser-focused onto him.
Wait a second so this means that the hank we currently got is actually the one from the past?, Like, MC7 was the one we had and then we he died the one that came back was actually MC6?
@@poyomano5792 holy, so, theoreticly, we currently DONT have the Hank we should have rn, we got a Hank that did not go trought the same story our Hank has, and also has a slightly different personality I mean this isnt the worst but it's like a clone has Taken the place of the Hank we should have if we are cronologically talking
Two things I noticed: -When Tricky first enters his new psycho form, he only has one foot, just like the grunts in the older episodes. -When Antipathy Hank is fighting Consternation Hank, Antipathy Hank uses a severed head as a weapon just like in Madness 6.
Antipathy hank also seems to struggle with the more advanced soldiers from time to time. I feel this makes sense since Hank seems to get more powerful with each resurrection, so a version of Hank from a few revives back might not be able to match the enhanced agents and soldats. This raises a question for me, though... Are there other versions of hank out there from further back in the series that can do the Max Payne/Matrix bullet time?
“ Do what comes natural “ is what chilled me the most, Tricky knows he messed up Hank in a pretty bad way and keeps egging him on being a natural born killer. Also having Tricky also somewhat imprint a fraction of his insanity into Hank like some sort of six sense is pretty fucking great writing, “ Look out, Idiot “ god Krinkels your good
@@vivimos_en_una_sociedad7758 Jebus didn't leave a note for Hank, though. Tricky left the "just do what comes natural" note, as we can tell from the "-T" at the end indicating who wrote it. I don’t think that was Tricky telling him to look out, I believe that was 2bdamned because he has done something like this before in Dedmos rebuilt. He told Deimos to not bring hell back with him in a poster, hence him saying “Goddamn it Deimos” When he brought the rock man back

Bringing back Antipathy Hank was a nostalgia arrow on the knee for me. My first MC animation ever was MC 6 and that version of Hank is just gold for me
So basically when Doc said “I’ll keep bringing them back” he means that for every instance of hank dying, a new hank is created (and resurrected)? Is this Hankception? Quite literally Madness. Fun Fact: The numbers that show up when Doc chooses Antipathy Hank (RUNERRCHK((0110)) (RUNERRCHK((0111)) are both in binary code (0110 is 6 and 0111 is 7 corresponding to both Antipathy and Consternation Hank) I suppose this has something to do with the Retainers as they are sort of angels that keep things in “balance” (which is stated by the Newgrounds description) which would indicate multiple existences of PURGATORY. This combined with the fact that there are 4 spaces for hank. I believe that the Hank that *looks* like he is from MC7 isn’t actually him, but the one from Project Nexus (Krinkels himself has confirmed that it is canon) as he sustains similar wounds from *Spoiler* : After Deimos and Sanford kill him and you attain Hank’s “Punished” outfit. Since purgatory just so happens to be a place of punishment, I think you can paint the picture here. But hey, thats just a theory.
1:41 really liked this neat little detail here when hank kept pointing his gun at tricky's corpse, knowing it would probably come back to life at any time
With Tricky being able to will himself into random grunts and the fact that it's hell I doubt Hank wants to take his chances. Plus, it's hell. What can you expect except pain and suffering?
8:00 Notice here how it says "Finding A Hank" instead of just "Finding Hank". This implies to me that after his death at the hands of Jesus, Hank has become ingrained into the system of Nevada at such a base level, the whole thing will keep churning Hanks out by the dozens. The way the Hank was taken at 11:00 may shed some light on the mysterious figures from number 11 as well.
So those red demon things at the intro to 11 could be versions of Hank, left behind. With the Halo given to Tricky after 10, I guess Doc found a way for them to work in unison to stop Tricky from fucking up Nevada even further.
We actually know one of them for sure is Jebus. One of the red ones was vomiting the same way Jebus was and there was the same amount of holes as there was Jebus deaths. Everyone said the other was Deimos but I don't know at this point.
@@thatoneantoid51 got back to this episode, was checking comments and just saw this one. If one of them is Jebus and seems to try to save the other one, could that be the Sheriff?
Another fun fact: at 5:20, the ATP Engineer shots and destroys the tablet the grunt was using (which I assume was what MC6 Hank was looking for) so Hank just unloaded the gun on him lol Is honestly facinating how much detail goes into this animations and how after watching them multiple times you can still appreciate things that you may not have seen before
Oh zamn, I never noticed that, THAT was why. Really, Krinkels' attention to detail be so good that most of the audience can't even pay attention to the attention.

8:59 My favorite part about this scene is that you can *FEEL* the terror of knowing that after Tricky's done chain-sawing that retainer, he's coming for hank next.
Tricky gets impaled by 8 spikes, then leaves, only the spikes didn't hurt Tricky... Just SUPREMELY pissed him off. Returns to fuck up the Retainer with a fucking chainsaw, and the Retainer, shaking his fists and creating more spikes, but it looks like it was too late. Tricky's scream when he showed up as well was so amazing Then after Hank dispatches some dudes, you think Tricky is gonna fuck him up but next you see Hank somehow got his hands on the chainsaw and is decimating the Tricky demon skull with it. @@shaym.9737 This shows that you cannot kill what was once a funny, immature clown now turned into a freakish abomination that ruled his own hell now. However, when Retainer tries to kill Anti-Hank, Tricky saved Anti-Hank from his defective "minion" and later disappears to where he dragged Retainer. And then he gets impaled by 8 spikes. And eventually he made a fatal *mistake!* Tricky was ULTIMATELY pissed off now, he brutally sliced & mutilated his entire body off with a chainsaw!!! After Retainer died, you can hear a creepy gurgle from the monster clown. Which means, he's coming for Consternation Hank. He knows he broke free! There exist more than one Hank, Antipathy Hank and Consternation Hank are two different Hanks, Doc must've tapped into some of the Machines power if he's continuously brings back Hank, but after 7 that Hank was too injured to fight so he swapped them out so Antipathy could recover, then he had the duo retrieve Consternations corpse so he could magnify Antipathy and give Consternation a break. He's hot swapping them.
As another person theorized, I think hell is outside of time, and Hank went into hell at two different points in time, which caused him to meet himself
I love how Krinkels animated the two Hanks. They have different personalities and it's shown in how they behave. I swear he's the best at conveying body language in animation.
One of the biggest body "languages" between the two hanks is that Metal Jaw Hank leans into gun wielding + more cautious to pick on strong enemies and that Damaged Hank is more hand-to-hand with melee + more bloodthirsty
@@noneofyourbusiness4133 by choice. There was nothing stopping Krinkels from giving the characters voices but deliberately chose not to; deciding to convey character and emotion through body language.
You can tell a characters emotions from the way they move and interact with the other guys around the them for example you I can tell the soldat in part one is pissed when hank points out that they only have one eye this is extended even more with certain characters hand movements such as them shaking when angry or nervous
It seems to be that time doesn’t work as it does in the real world here. So this canonically takes place right before Hank comes back as Mag Hank, with the most recent and skilled having to be found to be brought back. You can hear at the end the gunfire of Deimos being killed, after all.
It's been a bit, but I think the reason why the two Hanks were fighting was quite simple. They think if one Hank kills the other Hank in hell. It increases the chances of them getting recovered instead of the other Hank. Hank probably didn't realize that Doc was using a coin-flip program to choose so it really didn't matter either way. Either that, or Hank really wanted to kill himself
what I'm wondering is how did MC6 Hank end up there in the first place also curious that in this animation he DOESN'T have the head wound, missing tooth and cracked shades that he got from the train crash
@@AdmiralChimp i am of the opinion that mc6 hank is just so incomprehensibly angry at Trickey that his vision has turned red and he sees everything as a threat

This somehow completely reimagines the reunion of Sanford after Hank has been revived in MC9. It fits perfectly considering the hank that got revived was indeed the real one that met Sanford and Deimos in MC5. If MC7 Hank was revived instead, he wouldn’t have had the idea that Sanford was an ally of his, therefore, possibly not siding with him. These filler episodes are absolutely mind blowing!!! Well done at a filler story like always Krinkels!
@@Dispencerhere I think, personally, that the two hanks are from different points in the series, the "MC 6" one is from when the train crashed and Tricky killed Hank, and that one was put into MAG Hank, and the "MC 7" Hank was put into the MC 6 Hank when he was revived
Wait what the hell is the lore again. MC5 hank got help from Deimos and Sanford in the form of a katana. But how does MC7 hank not know about Sanford. Did Hank's memories get erased when he got revived or what?
@@skell6134 Yeah both of them should know about Deimos cuz they're the same person. I don't think Hank lost his memories when he was revived in those episodes.
So, here’s what I’ve gathered. Every time Hank has died his s-3lf is split and sent to the Other Place. A s-3lf is apparently one’s mind and identity put into a Nevadean/ grunt. Now that I know this, it makes sense as to why Hank looks and acts different each time he is resurrected. It’s basically his personality being multiplied and put into bodies, so things may change. In MC7, when Antipathy Hank is fighting Tricky, he gets his face chopped in half like Jotaro Kujo. He then dies, and when Tricky brings back Hank, he now looks and acts different. This is because it’s another variant of him, his s-3lf has once again been split and put in a body. More evidence to this is that the old Hank’s body vanishes upon his return. Now, in the Other Place, we can see that there are seemingly 2 Hanks and 2 Trickys. Now, this would be the simple conclusion, unless we take into account what happened with Antipathy Hank. This would mean that every time Hank has died and come back, his old version of himself is sent to the Other Place. Someone in the reply section down there (somewhere) said that this grunt at 4:18 may very well be Hank. And I can totally see that. He has the same bullet head wound from MC2 and what appears to be the Sheriff Tracker. In certain scenes, we can also see Tricky’s skin decay vary a little. This could mean that there are dozens of Hanks and Trickys in the Other Place, and the coinflip.exe command could’ve chosen any one of them. Coinflip.exe appears to be similar to a lucky spinny wheel thing. Due to the fact that it says “find a Hank” at the top, it probably just randomised which Hank would be brought back from the Other Place. As for the reason to why we only see 2-3 variations of Hank and Tricky (despite them both dying around 7 times each) may be because they are retained or killed. Allegedly, when you die in the Other Place your body will be decomposed, but your s-3lf remains. I struggle to comprehend this and believe that if you die you come back but with scars of your injuries (as we see on quite a few agents that Hank rips through). Although, I am not sure what happens when you are retained. The decomposing and s-3lf remaining may very well go for this. Towards the end, we get a message saying “I’ll keep taking them back” after Hank is resurrected. This may be the 2BDamned/Doc referring to all of Hank and the gang’s split s-3lves inside the Other Place (if s-3lf is like “self”, I figured s-3lves would be the plural, like, “themselves”). This would make a lot of sense, as he has brought back Deimos and now Hank. Because the tentacle impaled Antipathy Hank, that now means that Antipathy Hank is inside of the MAG-ified Consternation Hank’s body. He now doesn’t know who the Auditor is, he doesn’t really know who Sanford is, and he doesn’t know what powers Tricky has gained. According to Krinkles himself, Sanford and Hank are just partners, and Hank would kill Sanford if he needed to. This is now far more likely to happen, as our new MAG Hank is much more violent and aggressive. Tricky should be back in the Other Place, as he is dead. However, I don’t think the Tricky that we see in this episode is our current Tricky. He looks like how he looked earlier on in the series. A grunt with red hair and a ripped jaw. Another reason as to why this could be the old Tricky is because he uses a chainsaw. We haven’t seen that for quite a bit of time. As for the facial scars, I’m not sure, although, Tricky has definitely been hit here before. We also see the spine demon variant of Tricky in here. This could mean that the Auditor either brought back that version of Tricky, or he may have brought back all the split s-3lves upon absorbing him. This would make sense, as Tricky then takes on a new form, creates minions of himself and his speech gets a lot more static. Due to the fact that Tricky made so many minions, all with the same goal, using just the halo, it may be possible that the possessor of the halo can control how and when to split someone’s s-3lf. This doesn’t relate with the above, but I find it hilarious that Tricky saves hank, gets spiked in the face, throws himself through the wall and pops through the floor with a chainsaw.
T’is called the other place, also only consternation hank was retained, which is what happens at the end of part 1, he gets unretained when tricky kills the retainer. Also a nee S-3lf goes into the other place each time hank dies, the others have probably just been retained
@grunt4658 actually it's because cons hank was supposed to be the one revived in the mag machine not antipathy so cons was trying to kill antipathy hank to not confuse the machine
Nah. I think it'd be pretty dope to see him return in some way, too. Even just a cameo of some kind. Just raking leaves in hell or something. Or trying to fight his way out like Hank, but not being as effective without his halo. It'd be awesome to get some kind of a short showing a failed attempt at him escaping hell, and maybe Sheriff could be with him, fighting as a duo that ultimately both get retained.
For everyone asking where Madness Combat 12 is. Remember, animation takes time. Madness 11 took 7 YEARS, and all of it is animated by one guy. Have patience. Edit: Indeed, Madness 12 is out.
@@anapaulabibiano5346and I'm sure he's taking his time on 12, we've already got some teasers plus it's practically already been the same amount of time of waiting from expurgation to now as it were from abrogation to expurgation 7 years from 10 to 11 (2012 to 2019) 4 years from 2019 to 2023
Not this long. 11 should take 6 months tops. Either Krinkels was lazy, depressed, or simply didn't care much during those years and had better things to do.
I really like how the Retainer becomes irritated of Hank constantly dodging his attacks so he literally changes his abilities instead of being tactical and defensive to fully offensive. You can clearly tell that instead of dodging Hank's attacks, he just tanks them without any reaction because he is so sick of him.
9:28 I like how here, Hank says "Hello again...And again...And again...And again" To all four agents. It's like even he was fed up with all the guards he encountered so far and is visibly tired of it, but he has to kill them either way
The Retainer is kinda like a guard from the hell. He's there to prevent any prisioner (grunts, mainly Hank) from escaping from the prison (hell). You must be a serious problem in life to a Retainer go to Retain you personally. That's why he's haunting mainly Hank.
Most likely yeah because assuming this is more or less hell the fact that someone like hank is down there causing havoc is probably not the best for buissness even tricky didn't show up until Hank was there and given the fact there's more or less an opening between this hell and navada that occured during episode 9 most likely if my hypothesis is correct the method of bringing people back from the dead is making more holes and weakening that border so most likely these retainers are meant to keep the dead where they belong so they cannot be revived and as we see when tricky catches Hank the tracking can't find him and then it's swapped to a different Hank from a different timeline and the retainer and tricky then follow suit and when tricky kills the retainer it says bindings compromised most likely meaning that Hank is unbound and now able to encounter his other self from the other timeline on top of being able to be recovered so from what I can tell if you are "bound" using the bindings you have a retainer after you and this stuff like this happens when the retainer is killed the bindings keeping you in hell are disabled and now your more or less "unbound" which puts you into this sort of out of bounds state where in the case of Hank can encounter himself from other timelines and be recovered but then again this is just my hypothesis I'm not the most intelligent about the madness combat lore but this is just what I can somewhat tell I also wonder about that claw it shows up In Dedmos and seems to aim to help him and Hank while they're in this hell purgatory area but it's intentions are never made clear it's alot to think about
I can't believe I haven't thought about this for an entire year. In MC 9.5 part 1, Tricky (at least I'm assuming it's Tricky) gets vaporized by a bolt of lightning before Hank can kill him. @@cheesewallace5494 I think it’s before mad com 3, back when hoffnar lost his mind. It’s essentially tricky being hired for his first bounty hunt for hank.
Some fun details I noticed: Antipathy Hank was resurrect because his Retainer died. Assuming the number of the retainer is different between the two Hanks, once Antipathy's is dead, "bindings" become compromised, and Antipathy is reanimated as MAG Hank. This means Consternation Hank cannot be brought back from death until his Retainer also dies. Despite both being Hank. Consternation Hank and Antipathy Hank have very different personalities. Consternation Hank loves to fight, he mocks his opponents when theyre isolated for the fun of it (example being the Soldat for being mocked for having one eye), he loves to show off when fighting (doing excessive flips and twirls with both his weapons and body) and when a greater threat is present, he's dead focused on prioritsing it (which lead to him being shot in Madcom 7 by a random Agent). Antipathy Hank doesnt just love to fight, but he loves to kill seeing as he kills his victims in the most bloody, excessive way possible, his general attitude is "well fuck, I'm too tired for this shit", when fighting, he prioritises no one, choosing to "do what comes natural". The guy Antipathy kills and pulls the switch with in the beginning of part 2 is a coward who tries to hide away from Hank, he has scars of a gunshot would to the head. This is likely the Sheriff. At the end of the episode, you can hear Deimos being shot by the Audited Engineer from Madness Combat 9.
I'm pretty sure MAG hank is actually antipathy hank merged with consternation Hank's dead body It was meant to take the same body from hell but it took antipathy hank instead on accident Also antipathy hank prioritizes Tricky actually, considering that's what he was trying to do in his own episode. Once he dies, he still tries to go after Tricky not knowing that it's the one that died in consternation so it's from the future
A theory I saw is that Hank's S-3LF (read: Soul) keeps getting fractured as he's revived via Doc's method of resurrection. Antipathy had been revived the most by Doc, thus leading to his apparently excessive bloodlust. When he was revived by Tricky in Consternation, it was likely a higher quality that restored, maybe partially, Hank's S-3LF. That's why Antipathy attacks himself, he just doesn't care to stop.
I believe that both of them understand that they're going get back to Nevada, so only one of them can come back from Hell/Other Place. That's why they fight with each other
I love the detail between antipathy hank and consternation hank. Antipathy's style in fighting to kill the first enemy he sees while consternation hank picks off any ATP units he sees, before killing the normal agents(the less dangerous enemies). This shows how much maturity mc7 hank has and how much bloodlust mc6 hank posses.
@@tadeogomez7303 Id like to think that too. I don't know whether it's because mc7 hank is weaker, or mc6 "punches better", but mc 6 hank is definitely the strongest of the two

Okay, so let me see if I've got this right: - The Hank that appears in part 1 of MC 9.5 is the Hank from MC 7, Consternation. He gets retained at the end of part 1 and escapes retainment once the Retainer is killed by Tricky. - The Hank that appears at the beginning of part 2 is the Hank from MC 6, Antipathy. After Consternation Hank is retained, the Retainer attempts to pursue Antipathy Hank. - By the time Consternation Hank escapes retainment, he loses some portion of his sanity and develops an obsession with killing. - The Hank that escapes the afterlife and becomes the Hank we know in MC 9 and beyond is Antipathy Hank. Consternation Hank remains in the afterlife. Therefore, the Hank from MC 7 is not the Hank that we know today. This means that revived Hank is unaware of the events of MC 7. This timeline might not even be correct, because it does not account for the fact that at 11:17, the Hank thrown into the injection site has Consternation Hank's outfit. I don't think this is Consternation Hank, however, because Antipathy Hank was the one that was taken away by the tentacle during the recovery process. Moreover, the outfit this Hank wears is notably fixed up in comparison to Consternation Hank's outfit in the afterlife (note the broken glasses and torn rags).
Unsolved mysteries: - How does Tricky maintain his powers in the afterlife? Are the multiple Trickies from Tricky's many deaths, or are they a result of Tricky's abilities? - What is the purpose of the coinflip.exe program the Retainer uses? What is a "CHR divergence"? - What are the tentacles that appear in the afterlife? Are they an extension of the recovery process that Deimos initiated? - Were the meteorites at 4:09 sent on purpose by somebody, or did they just happen to be there? - If the Retainer is dead, then who is responsible for the message at 11:25?
@@azylan A thing I think you got wrong: - 11:17, The reason this is Consternation Hank is because it's a parallel to MC9, when Deimos throws the dead Hank into the MAG-ifier. As some others have pointed out, it even has the same gunfire, just muffled. My theory is that this means that Mag-Hank is Antipathy Hank's mind in what was once Consternation Hank's body (probably Antipathy Hank's, too, just further back). What I think the answer is to a few of the mysteries: - I believe the coinflip.exe was used by 2BDamned, literally having his console randomly choose a Hank to recover. I also believe you mistook him for Deimos. "CHR divergence" could be short for "Character divergence", which would basically be tech-speak for "So, there are multiple Hanks". - The tentacles do certainly seem to have some connection to the recovery process, which would also make for a pretty interesting parallel to the Dedmos videos. Every time dead Deimos is stabbed by one, 2BDamned is making an attempt to recover him, but evidently failing. - This would also tie in nicely to what I just said, if one assumes the meteorites are some countermeasure, probably used by the Retainers, or whoever is above them. - I think it's 2BDamned.
@@azylan possibly auditor or the doctor. All i know is that Auditor wants to keep hank in the after life and 2BDamned wants to bring him in. Now let me be very clear with this, The hank in the machine is revived as MC6 hank’s soul. MC7 hank’s soul is actually most likely gonna meet up with deimos as intended by 2BDamned, i know he’s gonna pull MC7 hank out after him and deimos deal with those giant guards since auditor still retains power. The only known person who can necessarily beat him is hank, the only question is what 2BDamned will do to him when bringing him back.
@@monkeyinred6742 All of that makes sense, and clears this up quite a bit. Also, looking back, it appears that at some point I mistook 2BDamned for the Retainer. (Oops. In my defense, their masks are somewhat similar...) Moreover, I had thought that Deimos using the computer next to the MAG-ifier in MC 9 (the computer he died at, actually) was him initiating Hank's recovery. Now, though, it makes sense that 2BDamned had initiated the recovery process by executing coinflip.exe. Hopefully we learn more about 2BDamned at some point. He's making out to be a very important character.
Did anyone else notice that at 8:27, rather then it simply repeating KILL/DIE over and over again it started saying FIGHT/KILL/ERROR. In fact, the only time it ever says DIE is when Hank is looking directly at it.
Interesting. So maybe it’s like a reverse psychology moment? Like, the person leaving the messages is using Subliminal messaging. But it could also be just Hank in his own head seeing these things. Telling himself to FIGHT and KILL to live while also thinking he should just DIE to end it quicker.

@@lolrus5555 seems more like krinkles forgot to redraw it. Antipathy hank got a bit of a redesign part way through development of part 2, as the design for antipathy hank was seen in an animation stream for a bit and looked way more like the one seen when covering his face, lighter blood and all.
Ok... hear me out: What if death is an atemporal concept in the Madness Universe and hell is literally happening at every point in time at the same time? That would explain the elephant on the room and why is there another Hank This would imply that Hank fought agaist himself TWICE. One as Antipathy Hank and the other as Consternation Hank
It could make sense but it brings up a few questions on why Antipathy was already here, and Consternation kinda just came in, also I’m sure tricky would team up to attack with all of his deaths at once, and not just coming back with a demon skeleton thing. But I could see this as somewhat possible

One thing I really enjoy about this episode is just how "floaty" everything feels. This is definitely the episode that has Hank in the air most often, and, after re-watching all the other videos, it's really cool to see it added in, after how grounded he normally is. Not just Hank, but all the enemies getting knocked into the air for combos, or just being sent flying by big attacks are amazing to see! It's been wonderful watching your skills improve over the years, and I always look forward to new content from you. =]

Rewatching the series and incidents once again! One thing I want to give credit to is how acrobatic regular (unmagged) Hank is, and how one of his most effective means of evasion is a ninja flip. Its always so awesome seeing him dodge a full shotgun blast and other bullets by somersaulting!
Man, I LOVE that disconcerting sort of writhing movement everybody has. Makes them all feel like incarnations of uncontrollable fury, which... fits perfectly, actually. Massive props for completing this behemoth of a project too, I love seeing this series still kicking!
Every time The Retainer teleports while fighting Antipathy Hank, he *adapts* to it! 6:48 That's the first time this Hank fought him, and he still pulled himself out of the wall, ready to try again 8:38 Tricky interrupts the Retainer but Hank is still fast enough to counter 8:57 Hank is fully anticipating and reading his every move, downloaded him.
IKR? He might've had the added bonus of Tricky bailing him out and the Retainer apparently being 'too tired' to use the telekinesis he used to easily take out Consternation!Hank, but it was regardless very cool to see how Antipathy!Hank was able to gradually adapt to the Retainer's abilities and hold out against it, especially when the image of Consternation!Hank getting bloodily thrashed by it and left at its mercy was what we had go wait on while part 2 was being worked on. Additionally, I like the detail of Hank flinching back slightly and his free hand opening up at 8:38 as Tricky is throwing the Retainer. Gives off the sense that he likely wouldn't have been able to counter the Retainer that time if Tricky hadn't interviened and makes the image of him not skipping a beat and spinning his sword before charging the Retainer even better.
the fact that retainers cant handle tricky really tells you the kind of menace he imposes to the world of madness. and this was all before merging with the auditor! Speaking of tricky, i love how he bid hank a "see you later" when he dragged a retainer away with his stop sign in 6:58. Hank is tricky's favorite toy and wont let anyone take it away from him. Its a twisted and morbid expression of love and hank definitely wants no part of it

Maybe because he has nothing else to convey the story with.

Same because half of this was confusing to watch.
You already have your answer in your comment: “hell”.
It seems to be that time doesn’t work as it does in the real world here. So this canonically takes place right before Hank comes back as Mag Hank, with the most recent and skilled having to be found to be brought back. You can hear at the end the gunfire of Deimos being killed, after all.
don't use the wiki,it's bad & full of false/outdated/inconsistent info
So this is in Hell?
It's been a bit, but I think the reason why the two Hanks were fighting was quite simple. They think if one Hank kills the other Hank in hell. It increases the chances of them getting recovered instead of the other Hank. Hank probably didn't realize that Doc was using a coin-flip program to choose so it really didn't matter either way.
Either that, or Hank really wanted to kill himself
what I'm wondering is how did MC6 Hank end up there in the first place
also curious that in this animation he DOESN'T have the head wound, missing tooth and cracked shades that he got from the train crash
Tricky's method of resurrecting Hank with the Improbability Drive either copied Hank's S3LF or split a fragment off of it.
I just figured they're violent by nature and will throw hands regardless if it's themselves, but that theory does make sense.

Why are there 2 hanks anyway?
@@Dispencerhere I think, personally, that the two hanks are from different points in the series, the "MC 6" one is from when the train crashed and Tricky killed Hank, and that one was put into MAG Hank, and the "MC 7" Hank was put into the MC 6 Hank when he was revived
Wait wait wait, arent both Hanks know Sanford and Deimos anyway ?
Solid theory

Some fun details I noticed:
Antipathy Hank was resurrect because his Retainer died.
I'm pretty sure MAG hank is actually antipathy hank merged with consternation Hank's dead body
It was meant to take the same body from hell but it took antipathy hank instead on accident
Also antipathy hank prioritizes Tricky actually, considering that's what he was trying to do in his own episode. Once he dies, he still tries to go after Tricky not knowing that it's the one that died in consternation so it's from the future
The reason that Antipathy Hank started fighting traditional Hank is because he didn't know who he was. He just thought he was another enemy.
Given how mangled and patched up he gets. I'm not surprised he hasn't looked in a mirror.
Hank should be thinking that it's hell and everything can happen, so even another him could be just an illusion to fool him
Antipath doesn’t care if Constern is another enemy. If smth is alive, he must get it to die, even if it’s himself.
I believe that both of them understand that they're going get back to Nevada, so only one of them can come back from Hell/Other Place. That's why they fight with each other

Okay, so let me see if I've got this right:
- The Hank that appears in part 1 of MC 9.5 is the Hank from MC 7, Consternation.
Unsolved mysteries:
- How does Tricky maintain his powers in the afterlife? Are the multiple Trickies from Tricky's many deaths, or are they a result of Tricky's abilities?
- What is the purpose of the coinflip.exe program the Retainer uses? What is a "CHR divergence"?
- What are the tentacles that appear in the afterlife? Are they an extension of the recovery process that Deimos initiated?
- Were the meteorites at 4:09 sent on purpose by somebody, or did they just happen to be there?
- If the Retainer is dead, then who is responsible for the message at 11:25?
@@azylan A thing I think you got wrong:
- 11:17, The reason this is Consternation Hank is because it's a parallel to MC9, when Deimos throws the dead Hank into the MAG-ifier. As some others have pointed out, it even has the same gunfire, just muffled. My theory is that this means that Mag-Hank is Antipathy Hank's mind in what was once Consternation Hank's body (probably Antipathy Hank's, too, just further back).
What I think the answer is to a few of the mysteries:
- I believe the coinflip.exe was used by 2BDamned, literally having his console randomly choose a Hank to recover.
@@monkeyinred6742 but can you explain how antipathy hank ended up here?

Did anyone else notice that at 8:27, rather then it simply repeating KILL/DIE over and over again it started saying FIGHT/KILL/ERROR. In fact, the only time it ever says DIE is when Hank is looking directly at it.
Interesting. So maybe it’s like a reverse psychology moment? Like, the person leaving the messages is using Subliminal messaging. But it could also be just Hank in his own head seeing these things. Telling himself to FIGHT and KILL to live while also thinking he should just DIE to end it quicker.
@@blondeplants1133 I think this is it. Hank's psyche is damaged from months/years of fighting in Nevada.
I believe the red text is supposed to be Hank's own thoughts. "KILL, DIE, KILL, DIE" is Hank reflecting on "do what comes natural".
@@slurpwis Worth bearing in mind that it's been years for us, the audience, but all of MC happens over just a few hours. He hasn't been fighting for years. He's been fighting for a few hours.

@@Herbert_Rudolfdoubt it, If you watched any Madness episode you would know Tricky just wants to kill Hank for himself, then he would revive him and kill him again

Antipathy hank got a bit of a redesign part way through development of part 2, as the design for antipathy hank was seen in an animation stream for a bit and looked way more like the one seen when covering his face, lighter blood and all.

Ok... hear me out:
What if death is an atemporal concept in the Madness Universe and hell is literally happening at every point in time at the same time?
That would explain the elephant on the room and why is there another Hank
This would imply that Hank fought agaist himself TWICE. One as Antipathy Hank and the other as Consternation Hank
That would make sense
dude the guy whit the mask cloned/obtainedanother hank didnt u see the message "finding other hanks"
Makes sense given how everything else in hell has no logic, like geometry flipping
It could make sense but it brings up a few questions on why Antipathy was already here, and Consternation kinda just came in, also I’m sure tricky would team up to attack with all of his deaths at once, and not just coming back with a demon skeleton thing. But I could see this as somewhat possible
10:58 bottom corner latching onto mc 6 hank when the red text gets om screen

I love the little detail at 5:44 where the sword breaks a little bit after deflecting each shot.
1:36-1:39 Hank uses a trick similar to what Jeb did to them in the end of MC4, even using a deagle as well.
Dude after about *two* decades since Madness Combat 1, look at how many people watched in the first 20 hours of release. Granted half of the views is Gabriel Barsch playing this on loop so he can finally have a peaceful sleep, but I think it's a testimate to how successful you've established a community of fans and creators around this concept. =]
I guess purgatory has lower gravity? (and it's just fun to watch)
This madness series, there are incredible, I watch this episodes so many times that I never get bored, for this creativity of the evolution of the animation and the history, and finally the amazing work of Krinkles, thank you so much to create this incredible animation of Madness Combat and I can wait for the 11 episode and maybe the madness community always feel confident about this master piece.
