I just adore how much MPN just comes out and recontextualizes the animations in a way I never thought possible. I love this community so much, here's to more madness days to come!
OKAY SO. Something I noticed. At 7:33, Deimos' body. It doesn't look like himself before being tossed into the rocks, but the locations of the wounds are exactly where they are on his freshly killed corpse in Madness Aggregation. My point? This is his actual corpse from Madness Aggregation, taken in by 2BDamned. It's either rotted, or blackened as a result of this purgatory he's in. Nevertheless I think it's safe to assume this is arc is canon, and that 2BDamned at some point retrieved Deimos's body in an attempt to revive him. But it took time, and as Deimos's body in purgatory began to decompose, so did his own in real life(?). We can also be pretty sure that the two guys in the beginning of CHASE.FLA are two other of the "Fellows" like Fellow9 who are trying to find Deimos in this world. One of the signs refers to "Stabilizer Agents" as being "Sowers of Lies and Destruction", so I guess that's what these guys are. Stabilizer Agents. Would make sense anyway. ALSO 2BDamned is potentially the guy Deimos keeps in contact with during Aggregation? Would make perfect sense, they seem to know eachother
3:33 the fact that the soldier looks at deimos then turns his back, only to turn out to be deimos with a soldier mask after getting shot from behind is a terrifying callback
There's also some more fuckery going on in this scene. Deimos slams his head in the ground and causes a rock to kill the first soldier. Guard stuck in a pose while still holding the gun. Then when Deimos shoots the third soldier. That guard slams his head into the ground and does the same thing to Deimos.
The anamnesis episode has a reference in his death, with these upgraded yellow soldiers(i am going to hell for not knowing their name). You can the pose he has when the "fire" from the yellow dude starts to appear. Also when he kills another one it has his hat, when he did a joke to Sanford in 9 mc
At 5:54 if you look at the top right corner of the screen you can see several other fellow numbers, this means that doc probably has more fellows working in the other place
Out of the early 00's flash animations, I'd have to say Madness has aged the best. You can feel weight to everything even in the original Madness Combat. But hey I could just be nostalgia blind, but I enjoyed my rewatch of them all tonight.
Y'know, it's pretty amazing that Deimos could take all of those hits without kicking the bucket. EDIT: Oh, right, I forgot, you can't kill what's already dead.
I fucking adore how at 1:35 Deimos grabs the Automag V as the soldat fires it, and then when he pickes it up seconds later he rakes the slide (which couldn’t cycle because his hand was on it.) Krinkles’ attention to detail is absolutely phenomenal.
This has a completely different vibe than Hank's journey through the other place. Yeah it was chaotic and dangerous but this felt like a personal nightmare for Deimos. I gotta say though it's satisfying to see him effortlessly dodge those impaling spikes in dedmos rebuilt after all he went through
I wonder what they are implying. The world is already messed up as it is after being shattered by the improbability drive. Zombies have decimated entire towns, away from the cities it’s pure anarchy, inside the cities it’s a totalitarianism in literal definition, the agency controls all aspects of every day life with brutal force, and death has become a constant in every day life. Yet I wonder how much worse could it possibly get? If they do drag back hell with them it’d be pretty interesting to see that burning building on fire scenario would look like.
I'm gonna go full English teacher and find dumb meanings on shit So I guess the tentacle is representative of Hank, and the Sanford apparition was representative of him feeling like he needs to protect the guy and how he's not capable on his own. The massive people are all representative of the scale of his situation and how he's a small part in comparison, and his comeback to life is him becoming significant in that plot.
I like how hell torments and distorts Deimos - his personality and soul, in the end he does not even hide HOW MUCH he likes to kill and what pleasure violence and fear bring him, which actually his bloodlust strongly contrasts with Hank and Sanford. For Hank and San, violence is a means to an end, and for Deimos it is an end in itself, Hank and San do not particularly mock because they need to kill the enemy to survive or achieve the goal, but Deimos openly mocks opponents and then also over corpses, he revels in the horror that they experience in front of him, he frankly likes that HE is the cause of someone else's fear and I damn love it.
7:21 shows "AAHW NEEDS YOU!" "Hahaha, just kidding. Could you imagine?" "Try not to drag hell back with you, though." "We mean it." After Deimos gets sent back to Nevada, he accidentally dragged others with him. This implies that grunts have escaped before and realized what happens when you escape.
@@FuzzyImages well now that I realized, that hell isn't controlled by anyone other than itself. It is It's own being, talking to Deimos as he explores the hell he's in. Same with what Hank went through before being revived. Hank's hell is a different hell though, evidence being that Retainers were never seen trying to stop Deimos from getting out.
@@cheesewallace5494 True, the retainers are why I'm really doubling down on this theory though as well, as the retainers are confirmed to be part of the A.A.H.W and they seem like something hank hasn't dealt with before (Likely something being implemented in extreme cases). Well it might be Deimos fault since on the wiki said that Deimos raise up the hand to Fellow09 and accidentally made him big and erase his mind making Fellow09 hostile to Deimos.

Gotta hand it to Deimos, his mind and soul are being torn apart and he just comes off as annoyed. Pretty cute how attached he is to Sanford, not in some yaoi way but, it's pretty wholesome. Man's misses his bro.

"Try not to drag hell back with you" ... "God damn it deimos" Haha, some good shit in the back ground, but man this series is so off the wall and creative, clap and a half to you man, you really outdone yourself.
Y'know, at first I thought the part where he kills the Engineer who then flashes to be himself was just a funny nod, but I just realized something. Deimos is labeled a traitor, and he seems to really know his way around their tech. That mask was also the SECOND time he's tried on their clothing. Since he's in Hell and Hell loves symbolism and fucking with people, maybe that was an indicator that he's a hypocrite. He kills dozens of engineers who, for all we know, could also want out of the organization. But Deimos doesn't care, he just guns em down with the rest. He could be killing people just like him. Or maybe I'm overthinking it.
Yeah, you overthinked. That's Deimos's memory of how he almost got shot by Sanford because of a prank, which he put this mask and Sanford almost shot him
2:47 After waching Contravention, the way sanford looks in THIS episode is like a forshadow from what was going to happen to him on Contravention (The part of him almost geting devided in 2)
I wonder if the Garand sound effect might after means anything. It's a famous sound for guns reloading, so maybe it's alluding to how Dedmos was reloaded?
I don't know if this is canon but I like to imagine Deimos can dodge all the hooks after he's infused with stone because it gives him tremor-sensing powers.

For Hank and San, violence is a means to an end, and for Deimos it is an end in itself, Hank and San do not particularly mock because they need to kill the enemy to survive or achieve the goal, but Deimos openly mocks opponents and then also over corpses, he revels in the horror that they experience in front of him, he frankly likes that HE is the cause of someone else's fear
