@Svedingo In Muay Thai you dont have to necessarily have to use the middle of the shin. You can use the bone right above the ankle, its still part of the shin bone
@TheAllboutwin Yes, Sand bag is a good for training, although you should work your way up to it by starting on a lighter bag. Conditioning takes a long time, years or kicking and blocking.
@9mizzle I think you need to get your facts straight, despite the fact that you may cause permaniant damage to your shin this method of hardning is still practist in many mauy thai camps and gyms. My father use to kick a metal pole with some cloth rapped around it to harden his shins.
@9mizzle But then again shotokan and muy thai practice toughing up the shins the medivel way, kicking hard things and letting the bones recover stronger. but i agree with u in all my taekwondo practice i only hit hard things for belt succession never before.
@9mizzle Yes like rubber, but its compact making it tougher, It still hurts to kick it, And they dont train on baseball bats? and yes they do trees, but not the extremely tough trees,
@pcigroot watch the full video then you will understand why he is kicking thru the thinnest part. they are comparing it to when a baseball player breaks his bat how much force it takes for a baseball player to break his bat which came in at 740 so they wanted to find a sport which will deliver just as much power but using the leg.
... Tom Levar breaks 3 at once ... and does the singles being held at head height by only one end of the bat ! ... I have old footage I need to rip off a VHS tape so I can post it on you tube ... the most amazing kicks you will ever see ! ...
@30adam30 nah, u wrong, If u play baseball, u know that, no matter where the ball hit, the force will penetrate through out the bat with the same force and the skinny part will break if it has enough force to break it.
If they wanted to compare it to a baseball they should put the bat in a vice wrap some padding around it and have him kick it where the ball strikes. I am confident he will still snap it and the comparison will be a little better.
@9mizzle actually we do kick hard targets, typically you start with softer and move up. You do tougheing drills, such as coke bottles and dowl rolling and tapping. Then you move up to Very hard pacted heavy bags, and hard target impacts. before you call me a liar...Lived and fouoght in thailand for 3 months 5 seperate times. Im a national champion and certified ajarn.
@DriftKing781 True, but football- and soccerplayers don't spend every day of their life training to destroy people :P It's not even a fair matchup tbh lol, it's another kicking technique. A martial artist generally can't kick a soccerball across a soccerfield, because they don't kick it right and vice-versa ^^
@lololilolalo ....the first people to live in the area were Khmer, the Tai people came later. The Banana tree's were still Roots oming out of the ground, thousands of years ago. The kicking a tree thing is still a myth. Ever heard of Brittle Bone?
This guy has a very powerful kick, I'm sure i won't be able to do what he has done in my whole life. But they might have called a kyokushin fighter. They do "tameshiwari", which consists on breaking wooden planks, stone, or even baseball bats with your knuckles, legs... Just search on youtube "kyokushin tameshiwari baseball bat" and there is one video of a guy breaking two baseball bats at once
Seems cool, I'll go look it up. I want to be Muay Thai fighter myself and I see the devastation they can muster with their legs it's insane. He could most likely break through 2 bats, but i'm not sure.
thai fighters always use their shins to deliver some fatal kick. this hit was performed with his ankle. And that stuff with hard objects etc is real. It can even be performed within a raw ring fitght (without shin guards) with your trainees.
@9mizzle Lies. The origins of muay thai trainers never had equipment. They use to kick banana trees/or soft wood trees to train their shins, This does infact creat micro fractures as they said increases bone strength.
Haha, I went to practiced at Mel's (White Tiger Gym) gym one day. He watch me kick for a while. I don't even know muay thai, just going along with my cousin. He was amazed how fast my baseline kick was. But anyway, I know world class muay thai boxers and they say don't waste your time kicking hard objects, because you won't win fight with it. Just practice enough where it won't hurt anymore. Mel is ok fighter.....He is no match for Bukaw or my friend Kai.
@tthhoommaa300 what this sh*theads don't say is on what surface the power is spread. usually when you calculate power (w) in Newton (N), and for strikes it's always power/surface -> N/cm² So punch at 1800lbs depends if they only calculated by hitting full power with only one knuckle, thus reducing the surface where the power is spread.
@lololilolalo ...Thats basically what I just said before. It was in the late 14th century that the Khmer Empire started to fall and the empire began splitting. They still didn't kick those trees lmfao.
have u ever kick banana trunk before? I agree, bat's harder than banana trunk but not density. if u wanna compare between those things, round up 3 bats together u will get the same strength of 1 banana trunk.
If you can transmite all the force to he object and break it you don't feel nothing. I am not a martial art expert but with enough speed and strengh I can hit a wall without fell nothing.
The graphics of the kick is wrong... it is clear from the replays that he kicks it with the lower part of the leg, not the middle part.. (called ankle?, english is not my native language so don't make fun).
@ThyBritishLADS A banana tree is not a 'HARD' object, it is like rubber. a 'HARD' object like a baseball bat or a tree should not be used to condition shin bones. period.
I seen with this guy did on Stan Lee’s Superhumans it was pretty cool the way he was able to break to baseball bats.
@TheAllboutwin A sand bag is very good for kickboxing training. A heavy bag is anything over 100lbs.

Man I want this guy in a zombie invasion. Everybody goes for the baseball bat and this guy's destroying em!!
@9mizzle Yes like rubber, but its compact making it tougher, It still hurts to kick it, And they dont train on baseball bats? and yes they do trees, but not the extremely tough trees,

I saw a karate expert kick through 2 bats at the same time. Its either on fight quest or the human weapon I forgot which one though.
@mushy1983123 iirc that was a turning side kick or back kick. which is generally accepted to be the most powerful type of kick.
@Svedingo its called the shin bone, its one of the strongest bones in the body
@30adam30 nah, u wrong, If u play baseball, u know that, no matter where the ball hit, the force will penetrate through out the bat with the same force and the skinny part will break if it has enough force to break it.
What a BEAST!!!!
@9mizzle but they do lol especially shotokan they use bamboo trees for conditioning.
If they wanted to compare it to a baseball they should put the bat in a vice wrap some padding around it and have him kick it where the ball strikes. I am confident he will still snap it and the comparison will be a little better.
@Vordakis
there is a way to block this kind of kick
@9mizzle actually we do kick hard targets, typically you start with softer and move up. You do tougheing drills, such as coke bottles and dowl rolling and tapping. Then you move up to Very hard pacted heavy bags, and hard target impacts. before you call me a liar...Lived and fouoght in thailand for 3 months 5 seperate times. awesome!
@9mizzle Would a sand bag count as a hard object? Or is sand bag a heavy bag?
He can kick everytime at you that badass
@94kushtown Menor is actually filipino...
@DriftKing781 True, but football- and soccerplayers don't spend every day of their life training to destroy people :P It's not even a fair matchup tbh lol, it's another kicking technique. The kicking a tree thing is still a myth. Ever heard of Brittle Bone?
@uriel528 which part? the kick that foster did or the "most powerful" part?
1:56 OUCH!
thats an absolute beast of a kick BUT he did drop his left hand to get the extra power which is a no no in a fight. he is obviously brilliant though
True, in Thailand trees are quite good for kicking, not so hard.
This guy has a very powerful kick, I'm sure i won't be able to do what he has done in my whole life. But they might have called a kyokushin fighter. Well, did you start?
What do I have to study in college in order for me to get paid to study martial arts and sports peoples athletics?
@DFrizzleNizzle but he had a better position by simply kicking up whileout a angle. if the muay thai guy kicked up i wonder how much power
it was fight quest i remember that
Yes but he broke both bats at the thinnest part, Mellor broke the bat at it's thickest part.
thai fighters always use their shins to deliver some fatal kick. this hit was performed with his ankle. And that stuff with hard objects etc is real. It can even be performed within a raw ring fitght (without shin guards) with your trainees.

The Kick of Death
Haha, I went to practiced at Mel's (White Tiger Gym) gym one day. He watch me kick for a while. I don't even know muay thai, just going along with my cousin. He was amazed how fast my baseline kick was. But anyway, I know world class muay thai boxers and they say don't waste your time kicking hard objects, because you won't win fight with it. they should of got bren foster to do theses kicks... his kicks measure at 2300pounds
Easiest solution: Find the hardest part of a heavy bag and continuously Thai-kick it and eventually you'll toughen up your shins.
Maybe he should try Walnut basebats
@DawgFL And other people got over 2,000 psi without even trying.
@TheLukieBoi1 i know he is long and strong but that Karate Man or Guy cant just feel nothing man Its Insane man! haha
Unbelievable
@921semih Yeahh, but that Black fella is 6'8" & nearly 300 Pounds !
what about justice smith???
@fruitypebbles904 Where is Chuck Norris?
the position of the ASH bat and MAPLE bat are not the same...see this 2:27
and he's a lightway
dangerous for the guy holding the bet. what if kick get his head?
But we have a one more big challenge for him. An alluminium bat!!
In Kyokushin Kai they break 2 bats at a time just for training. For remarkable feat in the martial arts world.

They still didn't kick those trees lmfao.
Bloodsport reference?
1,000..... wow.....
sticks and stones may break my bones but kick to balls cant hurt me.xD
@espibanez1 lol wrong
have u ever kick banana trunk before? I agree, bat's harder than banana trunk but not density. if u wanna compare between those things, round up 3 bats together u will get the same strength of 1 banana trunk.
He's still breaking bats and he's currently training Strikeforce women's champion Miesha Tate
Sticks don't hit back
- Bruce Lee
I C Wanna try that again, but in English this time?
yeah, but bruce lee also said to fear the man who practiced one kick 10,000 times =p
Bro just stop
1 kick kill 1 man.
@WhyUNoDie it's Buakaw :)
If you can transmite all the force to he object and break it you don't feel nothing.
I am not a martial art expert but with enough speed and strengh I can hit a wall without fell nothing.
Oh shet. Can we see this guy kick a soccer ball?
When i would kick a bat my SHIN would break into 2 pieces
The graphics of the kick is wrong... it is clear from the replays that he kicks it with the lower part of the leg, not the middle part.. (called ankle?, english is not my native language so don't make fun).
im sad... because they didn't show fedor emelienanko :(
wow!
Soccer and Football best kicker only did 200 - 250 lbs of force and this dude this 1k, never judge someone by his size.
A Mirko "Cro Cop" Fillipovic Left Roundhouse would have turned that bat to sawdust lol.
@hardpunk10101
If you are asian or not everyone can learn to kick hard like him!
Ok that may be the origins. Muay Thai fighters would never do such a thing now a days.
I GUESS HE CAN KICK THE TREE!
in thai land they kick trees soo they do kick hard surface
Helio Gracie is above chuck Norris though, so what would he be o_0
Notice the baseball broke the bat by hitting the big end.
The guy kicks the tiny thin part only.
No feat.
Long long time ago we kick on Banana tree in Thailand :P
you are able to do anything you want to. Just want it hard.
I wouldn't want to mess with him... lol
not only power, accuracy is "Asian level". Trust experts!
Shogun's kick is almost 2,800 lbs of force.
Dude. I feel bad for the guy at the bottom.
Splinters...
You forgot to put Chuck Norris
@lololilolalo Nice Myth right.
IMAGINE THE KICK HITTING THE SIDE OF YOUR KNEE? FIZUCK
สุดยอดดดดดด ครับ
search Buakaw, that guy kicked a tree!
@edgarsalinas11 lol
LOL! fucking pun....
"But he can kick some serious ash"
holy crap, that looks like it hurts
its weird that there are comments with more likes than the top comments but they never get up there
@ThyBritishLADS A banana tree is not a 'HARD' object, it is like rubber.
a 'HARD' object like a baseball bat or a tree should not be used to condition shin bones. period.
I wanna just be like him when I grow up...
it’s 9 years later are you like him now
so if i smacked his shin with a baseball bat with 750 lbs of force the bat will break? :|
holy shit
Very good but bat not hit back!
@foudas100 hahaha Bigger doesn't mean stronger I damn sure this guy can break roberto carlos leg ... easily xD
