i think the real purpose of this video is to show that no one can really jump on a speeding car. even though you have the leap, you must have an accurate timing and that makes it impossible. its not about making a fake video. and for me they explained it perfectly with science. thats why its called SPORT SCIENCE.

From the side view he jumps from the double lines standing a foot away from the single line. and lands a foot ahead of where he jumps. (1:48) Then in the overhead view he jumps from the double lines intersecting the single, and when he lands its to the right toward the crew.... #SimpleObservationSkills
You can add the shadow digitally. He only jumped over the car once, and they had multiple angles, but each angle shows a different spot where his feet are. The side profile shows his feet to the right of the white line both before and after the jump, the top shows him jump with the line in-between his feet but land with his right foot on the line, and the front angle shows him jump with his left foot at the line. Explain how that happened if this was real
watch the lines when he jumps, he is clearly standing on ground with white line between his legs and on the second sceen he is moved to the right so th line is on his left side...
you would actually need to draw the line when the car is 44ft away from you because it takes the human brain 0.25 seconds to comprehend just like they said in the video
i actually did jump over a moving car in grade 9 and i got tons of witnesses. I clipped the trunk on the way down tho, didnt get hurt. the car took my feet away with it and i landed on my knee. the inital jump was possible, would have made the full stunt if the car didnt have a spolier.
The video of Kobe jumping the car may have been fake but in his prime he probably could have actually done it, but he wasnt tryin to ruin 25mil+ per year and championship aspirations over a slick video lol
I'm sure a high jumper could do it if the timing was right and if there was a mattress of something on the other side of the car, but then they would have to jump over the car from the side as it is passing.
