    Thank you very much for putting in the time to make a new box, based on the tips commented at the previous video!
    Nice to find validation for the suggested changes. Enjoy your sub!

    Hi nice video
    Could you make a video about tapped horn sub?

    Both boxes are cool. And Yup, the second one is one to replicate.

    Set your camera's shutter speed to 1/60th of a second and you won't need studio lights as bright as you have them (or you can lower your ISO). Your footage will also look more natural and you'll be able to record in an NTSC country without flicker. You could also bump down to 30fps with 1/50th of a second for all the same benefits AND 60% savings on hard drive space. And yes, because of the 1/50th shutter, you'll be able to record in your PAL country without flicker.

    Great work Marius with the earphones on looks like I'm close to the subwoofer the sound is amazing not like other videos full of distortion and thanks for technical information 👏 👏👏

      Yeah, I don't know why those recordings were distorting so much. This one was simply done with a Gopro.

    I´m using a JBL 1204BP bandpass with 2000watt 4ohm 0.03THD amp. Got a flat 20-60hz with a little peak on 3db. When it placed behind (as a carsubwofer should be) it can help to boost 20-30hz frequency :)

    Most bandpass boxes have peak somewhere between ported and sealed f3 response,

  • @chaseleim4773
    @chaseleim4773 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Sounds much better, 1:1 ratio tend to be more dynamic,1:2 will have a higher peak with medium dynamic range, 1:3 stay away from for home audio use unless goal is to have an excessive amount of spl and low dynamic range

    Is that not considered a 6th order and not a 4th order?

    Hi Marius, if you can make a video on correct method of measuring SPL, and frequency of ported sub, it would help many people. Many TH-cam videos are available but they just measure the impedance to find out tuning freq. But there are no videos to measure the SPL and low end extension of ported subs. I meaning measuring at the driver and measuring at the port and then combining them.

    Marius is that a Romanian name? You have the accent and I’m from that area I can kind of tell. Anyways you should try building one for a single 12, keep sealed chamber at 1 cube and ported chamber at 3 or as large as you can, tune the front port anywhere from 40-43 and for port area start at 75% of your cone area and shrink

    I have three stereo integrity SQL 12s I'm pulling out of my car and going to put into my SUV that has much more available air space. Anybody know if those would work in a band pass everybody says they will

    Hey Marius
    Do you study or explain the different types of woods for the design of boxes in any of your courses? I am very interested in studying this topic.
    A greetings from Colombia.

      Actually, I mostly use MDF so my experience with different materials is quite limited. I should try different types of wood, indeed.

    I have never listened this type of bass recording, no distortion even in recording wow.
    I want to fit two 12" subs in a single sealed box.
    I know if I place both subs on same face I have to match their polarity by just flipping the wire of any one sub.
    But what if I put subs on the opposite faces?
    Should the subs should move at 180° phase difference from each other or the same polarity as above case?

    • @AudioJudgement
      @AudioJudgement  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you place 2 subs in the same box, as in they share the same air volume, you wire them normally. It doesn't matter on which panel you place them, the polarity is the same for both of them. The only time you would want to wire the 2nd sub in reverse polarity is when you mount the 2nd subwoofer with the magnet outside

    • @AudioJudgement
      @AudioJudgement  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nope. Box design is not based on speaker size or power.
