    • @SuperbikeUnlimited
      @SuperbikeUnlimited  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's pretty unusual for a tire to slip on the dyno after it's got some heat unless it's super old or just total junk. Slicks always make less power.

    When Kawasaki listed the 21' upgrades with the Pankl Ti rods and lighter pistons my first thought was 'that's going to rev like crazy'. Dyno looks like that's the case.
    Great videos, those arrow pipes are used by the BSB RAF Kawasaki team and the GR motorsports team too. Loud is an understatement, You need ear protection if you're in the garages when they fire them up!

      Yeah, wondering about the rev limiter getting pushed up. How far can you go past OEM rev limiter before #$(&@(* boom?!

    • @Dave_from_Technical
      @Dave_from_Technical 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@daveyt4802 Well, the rev limits in the regs are usually based upon the street specification limits. The BSB regs (up to the end of 2020) specify a limit of 750rpm above the street homologated model. As such, raising the limit of the streetbike automatically allows an increase of the permitted setting for the race bike.
      WSB is similar in that a new model has its limit based on the street limit initially, before it is re-evaluated once race results are in using a 'performance balancing algorithm'.
      I'm one of the BSB Technical team and although Rev compliance is done at the end of the races by Motec personnel (all BSB machines run a control Motec ECU, apart from occasional special exceptions like the BMW's with shift cam). We look after physical compliance (weights and measurements).

In reality is there any need to run the combined sensor if tuning individually? Does it give you any different information? • @SuperbikeUnlimited
      @SuperbikeUnlimited  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They will have their own privately-developed camshafts, they use a different spec fuel, compression is going to be similar. Hard to say on horsepower, but it's likely their SBK engine will make 7-10 more than ours, being the factory, they will surely have some secrets that make that difference.

      @@SuperbikeUnlimited Its funny you say that. But he has the worlds fastest gsxr stock motor 1k that runs 8.2s in the 1/4 Mile and only makes 193 to wheels on the same dyno. But hey the dyno reads high. 😂 You should take your bike to his dyno and see what it makes. He has an enclosed dyno made to spec.
