I think they pretty much confirmed the removal of the practival hitchhiking ghosts like reported. Look at the fade in at the start and theres a scrolling line on the ? coffin. Rip

the attic is pretty different! I think the old pop up ghost mechanisms are totally defunct and they've stopped using them for the pumpkin, skeleton and cat pop ups 😢

His name is Rolly Crump and he had an idea of a candle wax man to be put in the haunted mansion when it was originally gonna be a "house of weird" or something like that lol. After his passing they added a tiny version of the candle wax man in the attic scene. I think it's at 9:20
look i totally get why they reopened it kinda early this year. and it looks great!

09:29 Looks like both Jangles and Krusty the Clown made it on the Jack-in-the-Box designs!
Clearly the most notable changes in the attic- they moved the snake to the left side and now there's a portrait of Jack Skellington where the snake used to be. Also, I don't think we saw a Jack-in-the-box actually based off Jack Skellington. The two pop-ups were also moved to the end and don't pop up anymore, which I don't quite understand.
I fond it interesting, the portrait of Jack was on tje left where tje bride was and now itd on the right... and in Tokyo the bride is on the right side like the old one was as well

oh man the shortened the queue a whole lot nice to know now you can just literally walk up the the front of the house.
They’re building a new extended queue right next to it, currently it’s virtual queue only which is why there’s no physical queue.
God I wish they did this for Disney world so impressive for an overlay!!

One of my favorite rides and movies when I fist whent on this ride as little girl It was my first time at Disney but I loved the nightmare before Christmas
Kinda very bummed they didn’t do anything to the doombuggie loading area. For the Holiday overlay it’s fine but when it comes back and it’s just blue light being projected on a dirty black wall, as a fan it’s disappointing.
This is just like phinese and ferb Christmas and October in July
I went on this ride the same day you did but at night, but i started crying because of all the people touching and bumping into me trying to get into the line.(it was during the water show and a ton of people were walking in the same spot) it was extremely stressful but i ended up having the best time ever, i even have a recording and you can hear me sniffing 😭🙏

It looks like they finally gave the holiday decorations the TLC they needed. My mom and I go see the overlay every year and we’ve noticed that the decor has been pretty run down in recent years. Everything looks like it did years ago so I’m happy about that!

Yahoo! Does this mean that anybody who starting their day at DCA has to wait till the 12 PM virtual queue to join it? I assume that the 7 AM is not allowed because they won’t let you park hop until 11 AM so you wouldn’t be allowed to park off if your virtual queue gets called before 11 AM.

1. If The Overlay Were To Come To Magic Kingdom In Florida, Then Would Most Assets Be Like A Combination Of The Ones From California And Tokyo?
2. If The Overlay Were To Come To Phantom Manor In Disneyland Paris, Then How Would It Work Out?
Tokyo’s overlay was meant for Magic Kingdom, so that would be it
it is literally July
It LITERALLY closed with the overlay still on. Doesn't make sense to take it all down, just to shut the ride down again in a couple of weeks to reset it for Halloweentime.

I know its hard to predict but, in your experience.. how often does Disney finish refurbs finish before schedual? My Trip ends September 4th.. Just kills me seeing it reopen just after ive left..

It’s because the Holiday decorations were left up from when it closed for refurbishment, so they kept them up rather than taking them down for a month.
Also space mountain is closing for a month during d23 and they need something open cuz there's too much closed rn

They have been doing this overlay for years? They only kept the decorations when they closed it since if they fully turned it back to haunted mansion it would only have 1 month to shine then haunted mansion holiday again.

Splash Mountain and Critter Country are closed. Mansion was closed. Disney HAD to open Mansion ASAP……people we’re getting angry, and the park needs CAPACITY.
