    my only issue with the balans is that the design is1970s, and so any patent would have expired by now, and there should be copies made costing half the asking price. this is a classic supply-and-demand thing, a speculative thing: oh, you want it, we're gonna artificially keep the price up! look at the design, the simplicity of it. the price is a joke. in a fair market, that thing should cost half the price. period.

    I've owned two cheaper Chinese chairs. The Varier is superior in comfort and function. Even though the pads look thinner they are MUCH nicer. They saved my spine!

    5:30 for kneeling chairs you want your torso to be over your hips, like you are standing. you look uncomfortable on 5:41 with your back too far backwards to compensate for the bottom curve

    Question: how do people address chair height vs desk height issues? I am concerned about whether the chair will be the right height for my standard desk. Thoughts?

    • @BitrotData
      @BitrotData ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not a great answer for everyone, but how I do it is I have an electronic height-adjustable desk. Even outside of your chair selection, it's a good way to introduce variation to your desk to allow you to sit or stand, albeit a tad pricey of an option. My experience thus far with this chair is that I do have to mix it up a bit, I can't just use the kneeling chair all day long. So I trade between sitting and standing.

    Thank you for the thoughtful review. So… Is the weight limit 240 pounds or 300 pounds? I have had trouble finding a webpage with the specs on it, and was happy that this chair could accommodate a lot of different sizes of people with an upper limit of 300… But then some of the commenters said 240.

      If you are concerned about if a chair can handle 240 pounds or not then it's probably not a chair you need, more something like a bike or a pair of running shoes ;)

    Are these Kneeling Chairs good for sitting 10+ hours or will a gaming chair be better?

    • @btodtv
      @btodtv  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I would not recommend using a kneeling chair for 10 hours a day. I would also be hesitant to recommend a gaming chair for 10 hours. Most are not ergonomically designed for that type of usage. Do you have a specific gaming chair in mind? -RB

    The only problem I have personally with the Wishalife chair is that it looks like the knee cushions will break easily due to that motion he showed.
    Everything else seems being kind of picky. Overall the cheaper one seems to be well worth the cheaper price if you ask me, although I guess if people have larger amounts of money value efficiency doesn't matter since I do see it as a inferior product.

      We do not accept payment to make videos. This videos was made in response to many customers asking how the Varier product compares to the numerous knock-off products. I ordered a popular model from Amazon and made this video to show the differences.
      I disagree that the product quality, chair comfort and warranty are not advantages. I think that a chair being more comfortable, being made with higher end parts and being backed by a better warranty are all major advantages. -RB

      The expensive one (which still isn't very expensive for a chair) is carefully designed by someone who is an expert in chairs, the importance of shifting positions when sitting, and industrial design, high-temperature steam wood veneer shaping, and quality manufacturing; the other is carelessly copied from the first by someone who doesn't understand why or how it works. I think with that in mind, the lower price of the copy still sounds too expensive for what it is. We had the original 1979 model at home when I was growing up. I'd get another one, except I am too tall for it now, so I'll have to go with another model from the same makers.

      This is not true. I've owned two cheaper Chinese kneeling chairs. They are junk compared to the Varier. The Varier is much more comfortable and puts less strain on my back. It's worth saving up for even though it's expensive. You get what you pay for.

    This is such a bogus review! You nitpick minor differences and conclude the expensive chair is better for no good reason. The inexpensive chair flexes just like the other one and you DON'T sink into the thicker cushions as charged. You'd better drop your price....

    • @btodtv
      @btodtv  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I don't think the differences are minor. One chair is a copycat of the other, with cheaper materials to keep the cost low. The frame, cushions, fabric and warranty are all superior on the Varier product, which is why is costs more. Varier sets the prices on their products. I do not anticipate a price drop in the near future because the demand for these is so high right now with so many people working from home. -RB
