I only understand your cars are different cause of Engine size and injectors. Can you explain what all the fuel flow, injector pulse width, dead time, pounds per hour etc. numbers mean. And how do you know if they are right or everything flowing correctly? Thanks!
Devin whats the difference between Base Fuel lb/hr and Fuel Flow in the Holley? They both show in lbs/hr but are different values when reviewing a log. I thought Fuel Flow was the actual fuel flow after closed loop compensation and whatever other modifiers were being applied? Thanks for the video!
Is this an issue with the dead time data being inaccurate on the BA's? Also, his FP comp almost makes up for the CL comp, so his numbers are definitely quite a bit higher. It would be nice if there was an easy way to physically measure the fuel flow.
“It’s a man motor, not an LS”. Classic lol! I always just figured that fuel flow shown is just a calculated number based on input data for the injector. So maybe the data is very accurate at all rpms, maybe it is not. A big ol hog of an injector cannot be as linear as a small injector across the rpm range. So to get real accurate (actual) fuel consumed you probably need to do it on a dyno with special measuring equipment. So I try not to get too hung up on the pounds of fuel I see on the dyno or drag strip as long as the bsfc seems in the ball park.
