My dad bought me one of these yesterday as a gift for graduating high school, and I love it. I am just not a fan of the tires spinning when i barely press the gas lol 😂.
I was lucky enough to just purchase my father's 1986 Silverado C20 3/4 ton 4x4 truck. It is two tone/blue silver, completely stock and original and in amazing condition. It is a wonderful truck, he bought it in 1990 and i'm so glad to have it, these will be classics very soon.
My old man bought a brand new 86 in the Spring of 87 it was a left-over that somebody ordered and they backed out it had a 305 V8 w/4spd manual trans 2WD short-box just like this one it had over 479,000m on it before it finally succombed to the NY Winters
AIDANWHITE2004 just picked up an '83 C10 and I obviously can't see myself selling it... ever. if anything ever goes bad on that thing I'll fix it myself before letting someone else have it!
My dad had one of these when I was growing up in the 1990's, I believe his was an 84 model. His had a 305ci V8 as well. Thing was a dog and got horrible gas mileage, I think he once told me he averaged around 7mpg with it. But I think part of the reason for that was that he had the engine rebuilt at one point and the shop that did it put it back together to tight. On top of being gutless and getting the same fuel economy as a dump truck, it always had overheating problems after it was rebuilt. And even though I grew up to be a Ford guy through and through, This particular style of Chevy trucks have always been my favorite Chevy's. Best looking truck GM ever made in my opinion.
Man when that truck passed by that thing gave me goosebumps this is when trucks were made for nothing more but TRUCKS when a man can feel like a REAL MAN driving a A Real TRUCK. Just the sound of it is a he demand for respect.
Actually, I think they started using the 700R4 in 82. You're right though, with overdrive and those highway gears in the rear, it should get pretty decent mileage.
I had an 87 Custom Deluxe with a 305 FI. First year for fuel injection and last year for the square body. Good truck and had way more power the 305 4 bbl.
Beautiful truck I love them so much I watch videos everyday even thoe I already own a beautiful 84 Chevy Silverado I like seeing people’s different ideas and modifications they did to there’s .
I’m only 14 but my dad has a 1986 Chevy c10 custom deluxe and it’s a project it needs new bed new tires new cab and a paint job and It was my grandpas and when he died he pasted it on to my dad and when I turn 16 he’s gonna give it to me and I’m going to put a 350 v8 in it right now it has a 4.3 v6 in it and I just can’t wait!!
My dad bought a 86 new.305 v8.split rear window.power doors.ac.4 speakers. 2.73 special traction rear end.crome rear bumper.short bed.black on silver.split bench seats.25 mpg. My favorite dual tanks.16 gallon tank on each side.we drove it dozens of times from Florida to Virginia. The speed limit was 55 mph. That may have been the reason the mileage was so good.800 mile range was impressive. You guys that never drove cross country at the maximum speed limit of 55 have no idea how slow that was.in around 72 they changed the speed limit to 55 mph and in 1993 they changed it back to 70 mph on interstate
87 was the last year for those generation Chevy & GMC fullsize half ton & three quarter ton regular cab pickups. The one ton regular cab pickups on the other hand were still in production up through 89, & same with the rest of the models except they stayed in production up through 91.
i got a 86 long bed exact paint scheme only one rust hole size of a quarter im gonna flix and have the truck repainted 350 same edelbrock carb and chrome air cleaner i have a aluminum intake just haven't installed yet my carpet is shot and seat but im getting it reupholstered but my dash is perfect no cracks but here is a warning be careful with hat u clean the gauge bezel with i cleaned mine with awesome and it took the silver finish off and i had to repaint it
What a stunning truck i love it motor wow absolutly powerfull and inside absolut gourgeus 😎 cool car color great thank you jeff and Jordan for this video i enjoy every moment
Yeah I know what you mean I definitely love the square bodies better than a new one. I also can't afford a brand new truck. I plan on getting up square body long bed within 2 weeks hopefully everything works out

man these kind of trucks just can't never stop looking good ! they're timeless pieces of great looking automotive hardware.
It really is a nice clean truck. I've always liked the look of a shortbed pickup.
I agree, that thing is super clean. With ice cold AC, overdrive, and those highway gears..it would make a nice daily driver too.
love these old square bodies...Got two and already want another
They are addictive. I sold mine and felt like someone died. Now I know.
My dad bought me one of these yesterday as a gift for graduating high school, and I love it.
I am just not a fan of the tires spinning when i barely press the gas lol 😂.

They were making some great vehicles at that time. This is a really nice, clean truck. It drives like new too....well, maybe better than new actually.
I appreciate that this video came out on my feed cause I enjoy watching these kinds of video even if from 10 years ago
That truck is what ive working extra hrs and saving up for, a truly beautiful machine
Matthias Hitchcock is it a good truck is it worth it???
Glad you like it....thanks for watching!
Love these square body Chevys. My 84 C10 is my daily driver. Never plan on selling it either. Thanks for the video.
I also have a 1984 Chevy C10 and I don't want to sell it either, check out my video on it!!!
AIDANWHITE2004
just picked up an '83 C10 and I obviously can't see myself selling it... ever. if anything ever goes bad on that thing I'll fix it myself before letting someone else have it!
These classic trucks are the easiest vehicles ever to work on. Plus the parts are cheap. Good luck with your truck!
easy to self repair too
Chris Kilts the BEST body EVER!!!!
Glad you like the vids....thanks for watching!

Unusual. 305 had cam issues and quadrajet sucked on them
I'll see if I can find any of them in my area. Thanks for taking a look at this one!
What a beautiful truck
Good luck with your resto...thanks for taking a look at this one!
For just over 10k that's has gotta be the best car for the money you can get, drives smooth and looks slick. The perfect combo of form and function...
That's interesting...I didn't know they exported them that far. Thanks for taking a look at this one!
Sounds like the start of a good project. There are plenty of parts available for them.
My good friend just bought one of these! 500 bucks! Needs work but the motor is very strong. He plans on restoring it!
Beauty of a classic. 🔥
Thanks for checking it out!
Man when that truck passed by that thing gave me goosebumps this is when trucks were made for nothing more but TRUCKS when a man can feel like a REAL MAN driving a A Real TRUCK. Just the sound of it is a he demand for respect.
I just inherited one of these from my uncle and I hope to get as nice as this one
Nice trip to yesterday , nice truck .
Actually, I think they started using the 700R4 in 82. You're right though, with overdrive and those highway gears in the rear, it should get pretty decent mileage.
small Toyota
cooper cobra tires are awesome, I have them on my 85 chevy c10 with 8in AR23's looks AMAZING
My dad has the same truck! Aint nothing better than a old school chevy truck!!
Yep, I'd rather have seen a 350 in there. At least he added a carb, intake, and headers...I'm sure it picked up a few horses from that.
I had an 87 Custom Deluxe with a 305 FI. First year for fuel injection and last year for the square body. Good truck and had way more power the 305 4 bbl.
Fantastic truck! I would love to have one of these. Maybe one day i could.
what an truck...luv luv luv
The price is at about 5:45 in the video. I would expect it to get around 16 - 18 mpg.
Beautiful truck I love them so much I watch videos everyday even thoe I already own a beautiful 84 Chevy Silverado I like seeing people’s different ideas and modifications they did to there’s .
I had an 87. Rebuilt it twice. Daily worker. I finally retired ... but not the truck, sold it and she continued to work.
really nice truck.
Nice
Trucks definitely aren't the most aerodynamic vehicles either, which hurts mileage a bit too. Thanks again for watching!
This is a real truck. Not the plastic, computer controlled garbage they sell today....

That Camaro is an 89 and it only has about 40,xxx original miles. I'll try to get a look at it soon.
