We've stayed at haggerston Castle in Northumberland twice, in a bronze caravan. Both times we've had a balcony onto a lake. Swans and birds would come upto the balcony to be fed. The caravans were great . Proper ensuite in main bedroom with shower. One even had a tv in second bedroom,so we had 3 tvs. Had a washing machine in one and a dishwasher in the other. We went in late April and May. Monday to Friday. We had a good 15 minutes walk to the amenities, which we didn't mind because our vans were quiet with no families. We have booked two down south for October so we can go to Brands Hatch one weekend and another meeting the next weekend. For the two caravans we've paid £150 for both. Go slightly out of season and the prices are a lot cheaper. We went one week before Spring Bank. We paid £80 a week later it would have cost nearly £300 for the same.
@meeshker That sounds fantastic. We're off to Berwick-on-Tweed next week and will be very happy if we get a caravan like the ones you got at Haggerston 🙂
I enjoy going to haven sites for many years but this year caravans have been bad. Gold one was ok mattress in main bedroom lumpy and hard. Second caravann we had bbad, Dirty falling to bits faulty heating system. This was a silver van
It sounds like you have been very unfortunate this year. We've stayed in 4 Haven caravans in the last 12 months and apart from the location of one, have been happy with all of them.
