You ever get the feeling that you've seen these lost or deleted episodes when you were young but you didn't think much of it?
That’s all I thought the whole time I’ve watched this , I’ve seen almost all of these . I was born in 1994 , this was my childhood
I think a cartoon in this video had a banned episode up on netflix, but I'm not 100% sure...my memory is so fuzzy because it's been about a decade since I watched it as a kid

That's not funny, 9/11 ushered a new era to America, we were all afraid for our lives after the towers fell. We didn't feel safe in our own homes. And I'm sure children whose parents were lost had severe trauma from the incident.

Well it makes sense because in the early mid and late 00s spongebob was dominating pretty much every other cartoon they had in terms of ratings, in the 90s nick had variety sure but it was a lot of shows that started and canceled very fast, it was extremely experimental and only a few shows turned out to actually have good ratings.

hubert cumberdale I think it's his distinctive knack for leaving every sentence on a dramatic note that sounds like there should be more coming. Plus, he uses ridiculous language. Like, David and Goliath was "destroyed", but then it showed back up edited? That's not destroyed. Then there are great lines like, "those episodes were never found...". With that quiet voice, like you're telling a horror story so you get softer towards the ending? That over the music will bother just about anyone.

I have Billy and Mandy on a dvd set with Johnny Bravo, Dexters Laboratory and Courage the Cowardly Dog..the dvd has 4 disks and is about 16 hrs of cartoons total. Lots of episodes I had not seen in a long time.

They are probably just sitting on some shelf in some storage area in a major company's studio, just gathering dust and getting passed over by janitors and other people who have no care in the world as to what's on them.
...that, or saved on to some really obsessive person's many hard drives of kids' shows, and he/she has no idea that people want them...

Many of these might have been taped off TV onto VHS and if they haven't been recorded over, are probably sitting in a closet or basement somewhere and the owner either forgot that they have them or don't realize they are missing.

I legitimately thought Wierd-ohs was some messed up figment of my imagination because very few people i bring it up to, have seen or heard of it. As jarring as it is to look at, kind of a funny and nostalgic show.
It's not as bad as people say in my opinion. It's a shame it ended up the way it did. Interesting it's so obscure when it's based on something more well known.

About the Arthur one, recently "The Great MacGrady" was aired, but it was changed. It was reanimated in the new art style and instead of Lance Armstrong visiting francine, the made up wrestler "Uncle Slam" visits her because he apparently also had cancer. Other than the animation and Uncle Slam, the episode is pretty much the same as the original one.

Although I don't blame nickelodeon, it's dumb for them to have to be scared of getting sued over the brittle bones kid. If he lied about it, that's his fault. That must've been a scary thing for the producers to see/deal with, and I feel awful for them.
it doesn't work like that in America. We have countless thousands of sue-happy lawyer leaches graduating from law school every year salivating at the mouth for any shot at attacking anyone or anything that can pay off their college payments...
I was thinking the same thing. If the kid lied, the show should be waived of any liability. That's what the form is there for. If anything they should have been able to win any sue charge and counter sued. But no, everyone would feel oh so sad for the little lying kid. Blech.
I mean *technically* he signed a waiver of liability, but that can be overruled if they think the show went too far, which is completely up to the jury

Like if a kid is threatening their parents or hits them or gets caught stealing something or something similarly reprehensible and unacceptable, most parents will indeed smack their kids here in America. But it is not very common for someone to smack their kid in the face just for simply not following orders. American parents can tend to be much more lax, but at the same time, I sadly knew more than a few kids who had parents who looked for any excuse justified or not to beat their kids senseless, and I don’t mean slap I mean like bruises, blood, and hospital visit type beating. So there’s more than one side to it.
Also a lot of great parents who are reasonable and just with their punishments and how they treat their kids, just wanted to throw that in.
It's normal in a lot of cultures unfortunately...I grew up in a verryy Latino household lol we got the belt, the hanger, the metal spoons...and of course the classic chancla 😫

Real bummed to hear about Kablam having missing episodes. I truly loved that show.
Also, I felt like I saw that episode of Rocko's Modern life so many times, I didn't even know they had banned it from the lineup upon watching reruns.
Some of these reasons for banning entire episodes seem so silly, some could have kept being broadcast with edits. Especially the strobe colors in Pokemon and Powerpuff girls.
No longer it is this set to kids. Hooray for that.

For years we couldn't watch The Wizard of Oz because one of my boys was soooo afraid of the wicked witch. So I knew RIGHT AWAY what was coming with that.
I was never really scared of the witch as a kid, but I _was_ scared of that hourglass that would kill Dorothy once the sand ran out-I'm not sure if the hourglass had killing power or if the witch would have come up to kill Dorothy after the hour was up, but my young brain interpreted it as the former and that really freaked me out for some reason.

Hahaha nice joke, but as a person who has experience with these things, America is one of the best in this regard, at least compared to Europe/Asia, at least currently. The worst are usually Arabia, Hong Kong, and a few others. In terms of North & South America Alone, it is mostly the same everywhere in terms of censorship, though I would argue Japan is one of the best with these things overall.
P.S. most of these shows were created in America LOL
I think one of the saddest things about lost media is that once things are found, they often aren't as interesting as the hype around them makes people hope.

This video was published on February 28th 2015, nearly 2 years ago. So some of these episodes, such as the Gravity Falls pilot, have indeed surfaced since then.

It may not be shocking to adults, but Pingu is geared towards very young children. If a young child saw that, they might get scared that their parents or caregivers may do that to them. That, and it was sudden and something they didn't expect to see.

There are quite a handfull of episodes from Canada of 6teen that were banned by Cartoon Network in the US. One of them is called Role Reversal. It was banned because it featured a gay character. Another episode, called Over Exposed, was banned because it had a male character accidentally seeing a female character completely naked. Another episode, Wedding Destroyers, was banned for nudity, adult references, and a character and his brothers being total perverts toward their new stepsisters. Another episode, Girly Boys, was banned for nudity and a character referencing quote on quote "chicks" practically naked at the spa, saying that's the best part about being in the spa. Despite being banned in the US, these episodes were later uploaded on TH-cam.

Not really. I mean, these were all banned for being similar to one part of 9/11. Take 9/11 apart and there are a lot of individual parts that can trigger a kid or their parent. Buildings being destroyed (either by accident or terrorism), terrorism, explosives, flying vehicles crashing into things, war, military plots, inside jobs or the mention of them, and many more.
