The best part of this story is that he explicitly told multiple people that he was building a vehicle and everyone just basically slowly watched him build it.
I completely agree and am aware of all the despicable things governments have done, but sometimes this line of thought leads people to believe everything without any critical thought. It’s always a Yes when asking if the government would do something horrible. But it’s not always a yes that the government actually has. Which I think is an important distinction to remember
When I was a teenager, there was a shop in town that sold card games, roleplaying games, etc. It also had arcade games, pool tables, and room for kids to just hang out and chat. The shop owner would do things like give hungry kids free food and give people free product if he found out it was their birthday. He was a shrewd businessman when it came to sales, but he was kind. This was in small town, central Wisconsin where this sort of gaming shop was not common. It was basically the only place in town where kids/teens could get together and socialize that didn't involve drinking, drug use, or otherwise getting into trouble. Welp, the local government didn't like the shop owner because of some long-standing small-town grudges. So, they jacked up every fee they could on his property until he was forced to move into a smaller building down the street. This spot was nestled in a corner, away from the road. This meant people travelling from neighboring towns to visit the only game store in the area struggled to find the shop. So, he would put out sidewalk signs. The local government began fining him for the signs, saying that sidewalk signs were against city ordinances. Mind you, other businesses on either side of this shop regularly used the same type of sidewalk signage and were never once fined. Between all of this stress and the owner dealing with it while also being the primary caregiver for his dying mother, the local government drove him out of business. Unsurprisingly, within a year the area saw a massive uptick in teen drug/alcohol use. The way some small-town governments act is vile.

We have a family in our small Town that owned the biggest masonry business. They sold it and invested a bunch, they just built another mansion on 5 acres for $5 million 2 doors down from their current mansion on 5 acres worth $2.5 million.
It’s happened innumerable times. This time just hits the incredibly unlikely Goldilocks zone of enough damage to be newsworthy, yet not being subject to damnatio memoriae because there were no fatalities.
There's one where a guy hijacks a crane I believe, then obviously we that event that's similar to killdozer that i can't remember the name of with the tank.
This small town corruption also applies to small countries. I live in Luxembourg and I'm so tired of it. Years ago a couple tried to open a car repair shop and the government gave them all green flags. They had built their shop, employed mechanics and the business was going well. Then suddenly some representative knocked on their door, saying they have to close down their shop because they have no mechanic with a masters certificate. All the mechanics had years, even decades of experience, so no one understood what was the problem and the government worded this "master's certificate" thing so wishy-washy that they couldn't find anyone with the requested certificate and qualifications. The catch was this Level 100 ebony armoured master mechanic had to approve all the other mechanics.... that's not how it works... as far as I know. Anyway, the wife lost her mind over it and set herself on fire in front of the building of the ministry that ruined their life. She died. I thought it was a bit dramatic, but I understood it. Then was my turn. I was 17 when my grandpa died, he left me some money and at 21 I finally knew what I wanted to do with my life. I wanted to become a photographer. I got in contact with a "certain ministry" and they told me to just do what I want and when I'm ready to get in contact again to register my business. I blew almost all of my inheritance into equipment and when I found a cute studio I called them again to make appointments for my registration.... just to have the master's certificate bs dropped on me. I couldn't open a photo studio unless I had training by a professional photographer and a certificate. I started calling around and nobody knew what I was talking about. Back then you'd need to get approval for a special passport picture license, but I didn't want to be one of those photographers, I just wanted to do marriages and special occasions, or just normal portaits. None of the photographers I talked to ever heard of this master's bs. Yeah well so I stuck to hobby photography and.... became a factory mechanic, just because I'm autistic and am really good with machines, no master's certificate, all my qualifications are forged by my boss so he could finally get a mechanic that doesn't suck 😂 Luxembourg is a shit hole of a madhouse.
I really would love to know more about this if you ever have time :3. So you called around to different pre established photographers and they never had to deal with any of that? Did you ever try to track down the official who's making that up? Has anyone else you know or anyone near you had to deal with the same thing? It's insane you have to deal with that
@@brungulo that's all I know. It was ten years ago and I remember that a lot of people struggled with opening a business and got screwed over. I do not know what was going on but a few years later they changed the law and you could start about any business you wanted for I think a 25€ fee . So people did start businesses left and right, but then they started to screw with the zoning guidelines. I can start a business at home if I want, but I can't have a stock of anything. If I was a small "hand thrown pottery" business, suddenly the buckets of clay in my garage would be illegal. Fun fact, our government ruined the taxi business but also refused to let people use Uber, so now they made their own version of Uber but you can't just drive people around to make some cash on the side, no no no you have to get a taxi driver license which is so hard and expensive to get and your car has to get approved as a taxi but those technical controls are so strict that sometimes even brand new fresh out of the factory cars fail the inspection. If you belong to the wealthy 1% in this country you can do whatever you want, except when you lose your position of power because you've retired, then you're suddenly sitting in court because of that mansion you've built in a protected forest area 🤣 that happened concerningly often these past years.
Small towns are like that. We bought a building in my small town from its owner, we tracked the guy down and made him an offer on the building. He accepted the offer and finalized the deal. Some of the big wigs in town got super pissed that we bought the place, claiming it wasn't fair because they didn't know it was for sale (it wasn't for sale, we tracked the owner down and offered to buy it from him). Boy howdy city hall started pushing all kinds of new bs regulations hoping to drain our bank account and force us into having to sell the building so they could snatch it up. We still own the building and they're still salty about it.
Remember if you have a disgruntled friend who starts to withdrawal and is disassociating please be sure to get in contact with them. They may need help lifting 1/2 plate steel. It’s pretty heavy.
There's an older gentleman in my area that collects bulldozers and refurbishes them. He has stacks of steel plates. He's not withdrawn, therefore I'm not worried about him 🤣
I lived few doors down from Marv. We moved out in June 2002 as area locals were not our cup of tea. Sheriff was my next door neighbor. April 1 2004 we lost our house to renter/ broker in foreclosure by sheriff. Renter/ broker had quit claimed our house, took loan out in my husband's name, then bought back from back as owner! I would've gladly paid Marv to take out my house & sheriff house 1st. My hero. FUCK granby & grand county with 7 interbreed familes
Let that be a reminder to everyone that before you screw someone over, ask yourself "can I survive if this mfer comes for me?" and if the answer is "no", just stop.
Remember citizens. A civilian built a machine that, had things gone differently, would have necessitated A MILITARY LEVEL RESPONSE. When someone asks “What can one man do?” Point to The Killdozer. One man did that. One.
That right there is why education is so awful in this country. A single skilled human can topple a town with relative ease. A properly educated town a county, a county a state, and...you can scale the rest. The country is rotten to its core and held together with chewing gum. Always has been. They fear the population being educated, because the second they are, the higher ups lose their country.

I rode with him more times than I can count and I know that every time he connected or disconnected his truck from those tanks, there was a release of propane into the air and that was never any kind of fire created even though there was a very high heat source, the exhaust of the truck, nearby.
One of the guys who's business was targeted by the Killdozer in the Tread documentary said he was disappointed when the state dismantled and destroyed the Killdozer. He thought they should have kept it and make it a tourist attraction. That tells you alot about these people.
I mean to be fair, the Killdozer was pretty badass and actually really well made for what it's worth. It's just certain people in that town couldn't have it sitting up for whatever petty reasons they made up in their head. Turn lemons into lemonade instead of throwing them out is what I say.

I live in a small town. It has 2000 people if everyone and Grandma is home. That bit about small town politics is spot on! If you don't have a certain last name, you can't do anything/ police follow you around. My parents were denied a land purchase. They wanted to buy it to connect our land to the end of town. We were told no because you can't build on it. We went going to put anything on it, and the city was told that, too. 10 years later, a family of one of those names bought that land, and guess what? They were allowed to build a house on it! And they were able to buy the land without it going on public sale!
Such communities ought to be named and shamed. The true power we all possess is not the firearms we own, it is the wallets in our pockets and purses. Not so much because I'd want to penalize such communities, it's because the idea of giving my money to bad people is repugnant to me.

Using an armored bulldozer to rebel against a corrupt government, and going out on your own terms when you get as far as possible has got to be the most American thing I’ve ever heard. That’s Teddy Roosevelt levels of American.
Grew up in a 2500 population town. Definitely how this goes. Especially if a family gets in as sheriff or local police chief, or fire chief, or mayor, or get them on city council. People dont understand little bitty towns control quite a bit of power in local elections
I also live in a town of roughly 2,800 at max. And it’s interesting how small towns work with city council and even school boards. I know in our school it’s very obvious they treat some teachers differently. And because one of the teachers was of a certain family that was well known and respected, and involved in many things, he was never reprimanded despite how many complaints and serious things that occurred over the years. It took a family that finally wasn’t giving in and confronted the school board that it finally forced the school to ask him to quit or else he would be fired. They and no choice but to finally kick him due to how many things had occurred over the years. He got a job at another school… And for what he did, well he was inappropriate with middle school girls, and made several students uncomfortable (including me). He was a middle school math teacher and he was AWFUL. He was weird and didn’t get boundaries with his students. At least two times his actions actually caused parents to get involved. But it was the third time that they finally got him out.

We live in a small rural community with 1 stop light in the entire county. An older bldg that had several successful businesses, with the only barbershop and some very reasonable priced apartments, was declared an eyesore. The fire department decided after 75 yrs of annual inspections and passing every time, it was a hazard due to no backdoor. It never had 1 because it was literally built into a hillside. Now that it's gone information is coming out. Like our county gave the developer $3M. We were told the property would be a beautification area with a few benches, flowers and small trees. It's right next to our Veterans Park where families paid for bricks with their veterans name, branch of service, etc. No mtgs held within town about buildings and businesses and about a $3M grant which would have to be voted on for approval. Also, no one on the Council or this developer contacted the Department of Highway about ingress/egress. Folks have to remain vigilant. What's sad is the original property owners were given $25K and their tenants had 7 days to move. I can understand why the guy would feel screwed. He probably was
Something similar happened in the suburb we used to live. Essentially the city sold off a park that was required when the street was originally subdivided. Based on zoning, floor area ratio and setbacks it was not possible to build a house. When the city let the grass die and started removing picnic tables we asked the city clerk, he researched and said yep it was done in a closed door meeting. No notes, recordings or votes happened. Then months later, without any of the required variances to building code or notification as required a massive house was built. Politics equal power, they use that power to buy influence, connections and ultimately enrich themselves, friends and family. The more power, the more money they control!
“There’s no point in acting surprised about it. All the planning charts and demolition orders have been on display at your local planning department in Alpha Centauri for 50 of your Earth years, so you’ve had plenty of time to lodge any formal complaint and it’s far too late to start making a fuss about it now. … What do you mean you’ve never been to Alpha Centauri? Energize the demolition beams.” ― Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy
Look up the old Rock Island courthouse. Absolutely gorgeous historic building. The judge wanted his name on the new courthouse, but the new courthouse construction was held up because the city didn’t need two courthouses. So the city let the building become dilapidated, intentionally leaving windows open to the elements to ruin the interior and turn it into a safety hazard. People offered millions to buy it, one developer offered $5 million for the building to turn it into a veterans home. People wanted to salvage the wrought and cast iron, marble, and antique fixtures. The city ended up disobeying the historic registry laws and demolished it anyway, turning it into a green space. The judge got his name on the ugly new eyesore of a courthouse.

The problem with making any elected position a conditional title restricted based on preexisting factors is that it will then be weaponized and broadened to entirely overthrow the concept of an election as we know it. First family members, then business partners, then anybody with mutual interests, or worse, "wrong" interests. It should be incumbent upon us to take ownership of the voting process and ensure these things don't happen on our own, lest we allow the very legislative body we seek to restrict to decide for us.

Is it really, though? From most of the other comments of other people talking about small towns, most of this stuff is small, petty, and personal grudges that you wouldn't really get in a large city. Growing up my parents owned a bait and tackle shop in the very small town of Carolina Beach, NC where we lived. Issues started when the mayor of Carolina Beach decided to open up another bait and tackle store on the island as well. Sidewalks were put in on the main road of the island, but stopped just short of my parent's shop. They were told they needed to pay to have a sidewalk put in front of their shop or they would be fined daily. My step-dad was definitely one of those people who could figure out how to do anything, and just poured the sidewalk himself instead of paying the $20,000 the town was trying to charge to have them put one in. The mayor was livid. Next it was something about the street lamp not actually being on property of the town and it needed to be replaced for esthetic purposes on my parent's dime. Just a bunch of continuous government things the mayor used to try and run my parent's out of business. I was a teenager at the time, and witnessed first hand how powerless we can be if we end up stepping on a narcissist's toes when they hold a position of power.

Now there's 4 brand new homes and the first one was built exactly where my house was he didn't have to move backthe 5 feet like i was told i would have to do. I was so furious i seriously could have went down this path back then. I paid cash at 19 years old for my place all the $ I had earned from mowing lawns buckin bales and and selling livestock in FFA was gone in the bink of the eye. I still get worked up over that. I've never recovered from that either and have never owned a home since. Just kills me inside to be treated so poorly over a rich asshole.
Do you know what that 3 foor wide strip of land is called in real estate? It's called a "Ransom". A similar thing happened to a good friend of mine. He had a deal with the developer that he would retain 3 building lots of the massive parcel of land he sold (for a major discount because of the 3 lots). Yadda yadda, they left him the 3 serviced lots sure, but they designed the area such that the developer owned an 8 foot strip preventing Bob from ever being to access the lots. They offered to sell it back to him for 1 million dollars. The town sided with the developer. Bob never recovered. Cheers to you sir.
"Which I had no problem with [until it affected me]." Yep, that tracks. As someone who was a Libertarian when I first learned about politics. This is how every story tends to end.
Town of 600 here with a similar tale of insane land greed. My family had approximately 500 acres going back over 150 years until sometime in the 1950's a family member got into a huge amount of gambling debt with the neighboring farmer and ended up having to give away all but 17 acres to settled the debt. Sucks but whatever. Well fast forward another 50 years and the son of the farmer that got most of our land all those years ago comes to us and says he wants another land survey. He thinks the property lines are off a few feet and that we owe him another half acre or so. Yes, the punk son who was literally just handed 500+ acres in an inheritance was willing to go to court to get another half acre on a deal from 50 years prior. Thankfully he was wrong on multiple fronts and the law was on our side but it just goes to show how evil some people are.
To take a mans property is to take a mans life. Communists won't understand that, because they are the ones who live to take, not to work, build up, and save. All that said, I pray you can find peace and let go. This life is temporary, and justice will be had for everybody, good and bad. If we could see what God has in store for the devil's children, we'd feel sorry for them. I hope all the people who try to be good in this evil world can find a way to have peace.
It makes zero sense that the city would require a private citizen to get permission from another private citizen to satisfy a city ordinance. That makes absolutely no sense, the person refusing access is the cause of the violation.
I served as a city councilman in a small town in North Texas and can confirm your analysis is right-on. Federal and State governments have nothing on small town corruption. Because a vanishingly small number of people in the community actually participate in their local government or otherwise attend public meetings, it is very, VERY easy for a small number of people with special interests to be elected and then use their position to change local laws, ordinances, zoning, etc. - issue bonds, and use that public money to benefit their friends and family.
Thing is this. The 90% of people WANTING this position wants it to ABUSE IT. Basicly, who becomes a politician or police/military high rank? Mostly the corrupt and oportunist. Minimally those in respons to the first. Thus modern society happens. This guys never was anti goverment as isclear he had his own dealing. Hew as just petty and stubborn enough to act on it with certain success. Yesterday for example, i was at house run store and people where talking about this buisness guy running for Mayor, how is known to be kinda shity to his 2000 employess, and how he got a visit from the president's wife. People already suspect and known what is happening

I come from a small town and can corroborate that council members are often business owners who vote in their own interests even at the expense of the population. Hell, King of the Hill has something similar with the low-flow toilet saga.
Now imagine that at the state level. A major city in my state has a problem with landlords scamming potential tenants, a popular practice being the collection of multi-hundred-dollar, non-refundable application fees from a hundred-plus people when they intend to approve one or two. The city passed an ordinance prohibiting this practice. So the state government, which is made up of landlords, passed a state law prohibiting cities from having such ordinances. Truly a representational government moment.
They do it at state level now as well. Did you see the Cali governor exempted "bakeries" from the mandatory 20$/hr minimum wage? Coincidentally, the owner of a few Panera's is a friend and donor to Newscum. The worst part is, no one--including us, will do anything about it.
Thing you got to remember about small towns? The “good ‘ol boy” system comes after the high school popularity contest. Once you’re in, you’re in. You can usually spot these clubs pretty easy when first coming to small towns. A handful of prominent last names that own most, if not all, local businesses. The local 4H and similar associations in town all have children with these last names. Certain issues that arise in primary and especially high schools get swept under the rug for these people’s kids. For example, our current sheriff had a son that stashed a handicam camcorder in the high school girls bathroom vent. The use of camcorder should give you an idea of how long ago this was. Guess what? After the it was found, and a big fuss was made about it, the entire event was over as fast as it was found. Swept completely under the rug. This particular individual went on to go to a prominent college and is currently making the “big bucks”, according to his enthusiastically smug father. These kids are typically the same kids that get away with extreme bullying and verbal harassment, with little to no consequences. You don’t have the last name, you are treated like a peasant. As if even being seen talking to you in public is a sin. Local businesses give these same people’s kids jobs on Main Street. Anyone else has to choose from the few fast food restaurants or similar low wage jobs. Another example would be the son of the local Ford dealership. I went to high school with this guy. Typical rich kid with a typical rich kid attitude. You know the type. He was driving a two or three year old Mustang at the time. Pretty neat car at the time. Friday comes around and that of course means the typical Friday night in the county seat would consist of beer, weed and “booze cruising”. Which, if you don’t live in a small town built up around cattle and agriculture, just means you and your friends piling into your expensive car, drinking and smoking weed while driving down the many dirt roads around the county. At some point that weekend, he wrecked his car. Fortunately for him, he didn’t hurt anyone but himself. But totaled the car. He showed up to school that following Monday in a brand new Mustang convertible. Had anyone else not “in the club” did something similar, we certainly would be in trouble, and at the very least wouldn’t have been driving for some time after. I could go into more, but I think I got my point across. Talking to the older people around town you figure out this kind of stuff has been happening for generations. The point is, if you don’t have the last name, you aren’t getting anywhere or anything done in town without their blessing. The funny thing is, being one of those kids growing up without the last name, I got into my fair share of trouble with the law. Usually, we had decent people on the police force. Most times they would pull up and make you pour out your beer, send you home with a warning that “I better not see you out again tonight”. Later, I got wrapped up in bigger trouble in my late teens, got sent to a boys home on the eastern side of the state near the Capitol. The attorney and lawyers on this side of the state would always mention that the courts where I came from were all “kangaroo courts”. “They follow their own set of rules out there”, one once told me. Experience is something you desperately need, but only get right after you need it.
This reminds me of a certain popular ex New Yorker who got frustrated with the City screwing him with bogus license and tax bills and runs a popular Right-To-Repair TH-cam channel.... Anyone else?
One of the things I respect about Louis Rossmann is that it seems like he keeps trying to do the right thing even when he's being abused by a seemingly unstoppable bureaucracy. He may get mad. He may get really mad. But when all of his other options were exhausted, he picked up, moved on, and got on with his life. He dealt with things as constructively as he could. He did NOT lock himself in a basement for six months building an electric super bicycle to knock down Bill de Blasio's house. Marvin Heemeyer and Louis Rossmann are not the same.
He was happy to mind his own business and just keep teaching people how to fix smart devices but they just kept pushing and pushing and now he's a right-to-repair and digital ownership activist.
@@twocents1319 too right. Louis chose to flee while Marvin chose to fight against the scum. I'd say that's the real hero rather than the one who ignores the problem by leaving.
I’m many small towns, no matter how long you live there and no matter how much value you contribute, if you don’t have the right last name, you’re still a outsider. If these people would have treated him correctly, they would have had a great neighbor and friend and their town would not have the reputation of being run by a bunch of corrupt politicians.
Marvin contributed nothing of value to his community. He immediately ostracized himself by trying to bring gambling into the valley he moved to against the wishes of the community. If some rich asshole moved into your small community and said you had to now start operating casinos nearby would you like him?
Those people screwed him. No man is pushed to this point without feeling betrayed or wronged by people he trusted. The family he hated still is known for being very dishonest and selfish. And before you cut in with the nonsense about him not killing anyone: he had rifles mounted on that bulldozer and opened fire on anyone who tried to stop him and there is no possible way he knew he wasn't going to hurt anyone when he destroyed public buildings in the middle of the day! Pure luck and the fact that his monstrosity slower than half frozen molasses is the only reason he didn't rack up a body count. And this guy is WILDLY disingenuous to pretend that Marv cared whether he hurt people or not. The man was on suicide run, driven by pure nihilism. Do honestly believe he valued the lives of others when he clearly didn't value his own. You know he sealed himself inside right? He knew the moment he started this it was only going to end one way. As far as I'm concerned this guy is no different than a suicide bomber, if only slightly less competent. I suspect the only reason he didn't use a bomb is because he either didn't have the time, didn't know how, or was already paranoid about the government watching him. He already an anti government streak to him. It's honestly alarming how comments here seem to think that 'build murder tank' was in any sense a reasonable response. 'Well what was he supposed to do?' But still, in the list of things to do 'build murder tank' doesn't even crack the top hundred things this guy should have considered first.

Yeah well so I stuck to hobby photography and.... became a factory mechanic, just because I'm autistic and am really good with machines, no master's certificate, all my qualifications are forged by my boss so he could finally get a mechanic that doesn't suck 😂

I had several instances that included lying, back stabbing, and innuendo that made me lose a job due to no fault of my own because I wouldn't be subservient and, well be an ass kisser. I never met Marv, but I certainly understand his reasoning for his actions.

He got a job at another school…
And for what he did, well he was inappropriate with middle school girls, and made several students uncomfortable (including me). He was a middle school math teacher and he was AWFUL. He was weird and didn’t get boundaries with his students. At least two times his actions actually caused parents to get involved. But it was the third time that they finally got him out.
Same. We got trackers goin down Main Street almost everyday. New big city peeps that come in have absolutely no patience and try to overtake and break check them.

Around 1:10mins into the Tread movie/documentary Brower states a sheriff deputy warned him to get out of the building because he was, "on the list." Sounds like everyone was well aware of who and what they had done and took the next 20 years to clean up and get their stories more or less straight.
I remember watching that documentary, though it's been several years ago. The thing that stuck out to me was when telling the story and trying to determine the "truth" of the situation, the filmmaker seemed to rely strongly on information and perspective from the very people who Marvin had problems with. It seemed to me that he was far too willing to accept their explanations at face value. I'm not from that area or anywhere near that state, but I did grow up in a small town. Every one of those local businessmen and council members felt like archetypes that you could find in any small town in the US. And if you grew up in one of these small towns you know to never take these people's word at face value.

Yes. A welder with nothing left to lose.
This is one of the central points of The Art of War.
Nothing to lose? He could've make out like a bandit if he sold his property like he agreed to, or traded for an even better location on the main road like he was offered to. And this wasn't his ancestral land, he bought it on action after the concrete family lost it due to hard times. Even when the concrete owners gave up on Marvin's property and bought another one, Marvin tried to buy it first out of spite.
A government is more dangerous.
The government should always be in fear of the people, and never the other way around.
I can’t like this comment enough
That age old saying, when the people fear the government there is tyranny, when the government fears the people there is liberty.

Yeah except the US government has gotten the media to twist certain narratives to get the public to fight against each other. Things like gun control laws, abortion and LGBT narratives that are being so far blown out of proportion that it gets people to act on their emotion and fail to reason. Divide and conquer... oldest trick in the book.
People are screaming "Biden vs. Trump" instead of focusing on tackling legitimate issues such as unemployment, rent/mortgage spikes, wage stagnation, inflation control, the ever-looming population crisis, healthcare unaffordability, downturn of children's education, college loan structure, you name it.
It's gotten so bad at this point, I'd believe people would rather see a boxing match instead of a political campaign.

I live in a town of 800 residents. What you are describing about small town BS is 100% spot on. We had stuff like this go on for the first 35 years of my life. It still happens today, but nothing like it used to be. Most of the "Good OL boys have passed away. I had a run in with a rich farmer about 6 years after i bought my first house i had about an acre of ground but my house was supposedly on a city easement by
2 1/2 feet. This asshole farmer liked to buy property and build house on it.which i had no problem with until he bought a 3 foot wide strip of property from the city directly behind my house. He went to the city and and because of his money they told me i needed to move my house the 2 1/2 feet plus an additional 3 feet for easement well I couldn't because of that little strip of property that was directly behind my house which I believed to be mine in the first place but was told the surveyor screwed up.
Ammo is cheap and a great alternative

'Well what was he supposed to do?' Anything else! Literally anything else! OK maybe not Literally like I said I am honestly surprised this guy didn't make a bomb. But still, in the list of things to do 'build murder tank' doesn't even crack the top hundred things this guy should have considered first.
@@caseyhengstebeck1893 When the very system you live under is corrupt to it's core, you either give up or stick it to the people who wronged you. 'True' men who lived in this country long ago knew this, that's why we have a USA to begin with...
@@caseyhengstebeck1893 wrong
There is so much information to sift through here that it would be very time consuming for the average person to deconstruct the media puffery. Thanks for putting in the sweat equity.
As a skilled welder, he knew his gasses. He knew what gasses could and could not do.
If you wouldn't mind, could you tell me what he was planning to do when he tried to shoot at the gasses? ( if this sounds sarcastic i swear im not trying to be)
@JohnDoe-gk7mxnot to mention the cost of the tanks themselves, pressure vessels are not cheap at all
@@blobber4847 Essentially what was mentioned in the video, he either had something against the propane company, or wanted to give the EPA a big old headache. Or both.
Dude was a welder. He knew that shooting an LPG tank would do nothing
The guy knew he was gonna die that day, he was just having shits and giggles like playing Grand Theft Auto but in real life in his final breaths.
The hole where he had the barrel sticking out didn't have an angle to hit the tanks.
Myth Busters went into a deep dive into how hard it is to ignite one. Even tracers won't do it.
@@originalbigmiketracers definitely will. Seen it in person at knob creek
@@kg4boj "knob creek", you say?
My father knew Marvin. He was a decent, hard-working man; according to my father. I lived down the street from the mayor, and I'll never forget seeing his "killdozer" coming up the street as the police evacuated us.
That must have been quite the sight to see! What a great memory!
@katherines9304 its probably a mixed bag lol, defanately a cool memery though.
@argenfargen It definitely was a mixed bag. It was terrifying, sad(especially after learning it was Marvin), and mesmerizing. The sheer size of his dozer was daunting.
I never met the man but he is the person who id like to know I feel sadness for him and wish things would happen differently I don't blame him for snapping that's years of headaches and bullies.
How lucky! You got to see something blessed.
They forced a man into a position where he had nothing left to lose and then thought what? He'd just walk away? He'd just give them the land for free?
This is a prime example of why you don't corner a wild animal, because they will lash out, they will eventually decide that going through you is their best option.
